Description: A list

Big F'N Swigg - April 1, 2006 03:46 AM (GMT)
EWR 4.2

Breaking Barriers 7 (Stat Updates)

Arsenic Editor 4.5

Gimmick Generator I recommend this one. It lets you know if the gimmick you're wanting will work with the person you've chosen for it

I'm trying some other stuff out, but those are AWESOME for EWR

Thank you for the links!

Sweet. Downloaded it and started to read about it.

The 2nd zip file was coming back with an error. The "Breaking Barriers" one.

What do all these do anyway?

And would it be wise for me to start a game to see how to do this before embarking in DWB NWA? Oh, and I claim Kansas City, if that matters.

That gimmick generator is some piece of work. I tested out a couple of names, and that's more a less what I've chosen for my characters before.

So I've been playing with the gimmick generator, it literally just picks things at random. After hitting "Calculate" a couple of times, you get things that don't make sense - like a 94 over world-class all rounder heavyweight main eventer face being recommended as an "evil boss".

Big F'N Swigg - April 5, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
It's not really at random. Everything I've used from it works well

The gimmicks can be a toss-up sometime. I put the "evil preacher" gimmick on Christopher Daniels when he was 100 over and WWE champion and it worked perfectly.

I just like having something to blame if my choices fail. Because I pick gimmicks that work well in real life, but the game doesn't agree

jamiegeist - April 5, 2006 04:47 AM (GMT)
Still, cant someone explain to me exactly what all of these do and how I should get started?

Big F'N Swigg - April 5, 2006 04:07 PM (GMT)
Breaking Barriers is a stat update. The last EWR is around 2-3 years old, I think, and Breaking Barriers gives you fairly up to date rosters & promotion listings

Arsenic is an editor that allows you to change things if you ever have problems in your game.

The gimmick generator uses the workers stats to help you choose a gimmick

jamiegeist - April 5, 2006 09:33 PM (GMT)
Any clue how recent the breaking barriers thing is?

I started a game, but it isnt much fun with the old ass shitty roster (Goldberg? Nash? Eddie...)

I really wanna do what would be my suggestion currently, and recombining and all that. But i need an up to date roster to go there.

SamoaRowe - April 6, 2006 03:19 AM (GMT)
Yeah, the breaking barriers link isn't working for me right now. Any chance of having it fixed?

Big F'N Swigg - April 6, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
Give me a minute

EDIT: Fixed. Try it now

jamiegeist - April 6, 2006 05:34 AM (GMT)
Wow, thanks. Goddam that helps alot with how I want to attempt and start a WWE game.

SamoaRowe - April 13, 2006 03:14 AM (GMT)
I'm confused on how to use Arsenic. Anyone really good with it who would like to explain it to me B)

jamiegeist - April 13, 2006 04:27 AM (GMT)
It seems pretty simple to me.

Open up your roster page (or anyone's for that matter) and set your cursor on a worker, for instace, John Cena.

Say his overness is 90, and you think a more realistic total is 80.

Open up arsenic, or rather the EWREditor part of it, and if you adjust any variables and then just close the ediot (this may not even be necessary), your changes will be reflected.

You'll have to reload. For instance, just click on Johnny Nitro, then back on Cena, and your changes will be reflected.

This is good for fixing face/heel without having to change them in storylines, if you're just starting a fresh game.

I'm still can't really figure out Arsenic. I made the changes using Arsenic, but how do I apply the changes to a current game?

jamiegeist - April 13, 2006 06:20 AM (GMT)
Using the method I just described above. Unless Arsenic is something I'm unfamiliar with. Isn't it the set of tools that give you the EWREditor, the TVEditor, the StafEdit, and the Rosterfix?

SamoaRowe - April 13, 2006 01:58 PM (GMT)
Yeah, that's it, and the method you described isn't having any effect for me

I just figured it out. You have to use 4.2 for it to work. I'm replacing my games and my most recent stat updates over to 4.2 because I don't feel like redoing them.

Alright, I know this is a long shot, but years ago I downloaded a scenario where the major feds were all broken up and the country had gone back to a territory system. I don't remember much of it, but I remember that the west coast one was called NWA: Strong Stlye and it roster was SICK. Anyone know what I'm talking about, and possibly have a link to where I can find it?
