Title: WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony
Description: WWE Hall Of Fame

Imafuckingidiot - March 31, 2006 05:42 PM (GMT)
WWE.Com have stated that only 1 hour of the 3 hour Hall Of Fame induction will be televised. Hopefully the televised inductions will be Eddie Guerrero & Bret "Hitman" Hart. Those are the 2 big names and I hope they don't put 1 of them on the webcast. That would just not seem right. I bet WWE is doing this to make money off the dvd sales of the Hall Of Fame thing. This way people cannot tape it and have the whole ceremony anymore.

Wow, that's lame for the guys who don't make the broadcast. Kinda like a second tier hall of fame.

Scrooge McSuck - March 31, 2006 05:49 PM (GMT)
They did this last year too, only showing Hogan and Piper. In 2004, they didn't even broadcast 1 person. It just happend.

But they released the whole thing on DVD. Which rocks by the way...

And they did announce that this year they will show Bret, Eddie, and Mean Gene's inductions.

I love the 2004 HOF ceremony dvd, and i was actually disappointed when the 2005 one was just an extra on the WM21 dvd (I was hoping for it's own release so it could have extras of it's own).

Yeah, I just got the 2005 HOF recently and I thought it was pretty good. Although you can tell that the guys were a bit rushed compared to the 2004 one. I guess the sales on the 2004 one weren't up to par. It's a shame because that's a damn cool dvd.

Mad Dog - March 31, 2006 10:27 PM (GMT)
I think they do that so they can sell the ceremony on DVD uncut.

Yeah, but even the bonus disc of last years was still shorter than the 2004 one. It's like the first year they let them go and now they are limiting each guys time.

S.T. Strickler - March 31, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
The first two hours of the HOF will be on WWE.com this year.

Scrooge McSuck - April 1, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
Fuck, thanks for reminding me the 2005 HoF is in the WM 21 DVD. I guess it's time I stop being cheap and get it. :D

S.T. Strickler - April 1, 2006 12:10 AM (GMT)
The '05 HOF is pretty decent. You'll definitely laugh at the Iron Shiek, as he keeps repeating "Bob Backlund in MSG" and "Dan Gabriel" over and over.

SamoaRowe - April 2, 2006 02:10 AM (GMT)
Big time LOL at Bobby Heenan at the HOF ceremony. He told the audience that there were two backstage passes hidden under a seat. So everyone starts checking under their seats, and Heenan reminds them that "Its April." Classic stuff :P

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 02:22 AM (GMT)
Heenan is the most awesome person ever.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
Good god, just walked in from work and turned it on to see Sherri dropping bombs. Awesome.

"Pat Patterson....I was always jealous, cause you could keep a partner longer than I could"

"Ooooooooooooh Yeahhhhhhhhhhh........What a PSYCHO!"

This is great. What have I missed?

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
Jesus. She is so insane I can't even keep up. Her calling out Bischoff not being there, and then seeing Bischoff was hilarious.

But she is nuts.

S.T. Strickler - April 2, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
Can't wait until the WM22 DVD comes out next month.. Then I can see the '06 HOF.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:15 AM (GMT)
Why don't you just wach it right now?

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 03:15 AM (GMT)
So Sherri is being really funny intentionally or making an ass out of herself?

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:17 AM (GMT)
Lots of both. She's being funny, but keeps like, getting lost in her own bullshit a little too long. And jawing with the fans in the upper deck about nothing.

I'm sorta too lazy to watch most of it on WWE.com.. I'm just waiting until 11 to see Okerlund, Eddie, and Bret.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
Wait......you're on the computer.......so how is it even possible to be too lazy at this point. You're already at the computer, talking about wrestling.

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 03:26 AM (GMT)
I'd watch, but my computer is too much of a piece of shit, and doesn't play anything from WWE.com properly.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:33 AM (GMT)
Shitty.

SD Jones just talked forever about nothing, and now Atlas is giving a big "I love the USA" speech.

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
When you haven't appeared on a meaningful wrestling promotion TV show forabout 15 years, you have a lot of nothing to talk about.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
Well, the "online only" portion has concluded, and they invite me to join them on the USA network.

So what the hell are they gonna do for the next 20 minutes then?

Vince is going to yell until he passes out, probably.

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
Hulkamania is running Wild, Brother!

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 04:09 AM (GMT)
They're really packed for time this year for the broadcast. I'm guessing this was on tape delay, to edit out dead spots as much as possible.

(laughs at the Coliseum Video style edit of the crowd chanting "hogan" then being dead silent 1/2 a second later)

S.T. Strickler - April 2, 2006 04:11 AM (GMT)
I laughed my butt off at that one Mean Gene blooper: "You guys can f*ck yourselves! I'm out of time."

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 04:12 AM (GMT)
 Gene was always awesome. Imagine if they had schmucks like Craig DeGeorge and Sean Mooney conducting interviews and basically being Hulk's prop for promos.

Edit: Heenan! WOO!

Figures... USA Network is crapping out on me.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 05:10 AM (GMT)
Well, the Mean Gene stuff was good. The Eddie stuff was pretty wonderful. And the Hitman stuff was very to the point, and it was nice to hear Bret say "You can stop worrying about me. I'm fine. I'm happy to be alive".

I would've loved to hear Bret talk somemore, but what do you say? I also would've like to see about 1000 times more crowd shots during his entrance to see people's reactions. And I'm guessing Shawn left? I saw him earlier in the evening, but never during Bret.

And the Austin-Hogan tease and Hogan's straight-face of the whole thing almost guarantees they've talked and are going somewhere with it. Otherwise, he would've been alot less "hogan" about it.

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
I'm INCREDIBLY pissed off.

Why? MY GOD DAMN CABLE WAS FUCKING UP FOR THE WHOLE SHOW. USA Network better show a replay, or I'm gonna be crying like a girl for longer than usual.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)
That is whack, yo!

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 05:24 AM (GMT)
And to fill you in on the Austin-Hogan thing. Austin walked out and just strutted by him (and everyone else) and then went to the podium. The fans were chanting "Austin Hogan, Austin Hogan" over and over, so Austin gets on the mic and says "I was going through my bad in the back, and found a can of whoop ass with Hulk Hogan's name on it"

Hogan just stared him down, while Austin kind of laughed and smiled.

I can't explain the awesomeness of seeing Hulk Hogan standing on the stage while Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio get massive pops and induct Eddie Guerrero into the Hall. Just so cool.

Scrooge McSuck - April 2, 2006 05:25 AM (GMT)
I got to hear most of Bret's speech, but the sound of the snow breaking it up every 30 seconds got annoying, especially since it was doing that since the end of Gene's induction.

jamiegeist - April 2, 2006 05:33 AM (GMT)
Looks like they kept taping and did some editing to keep it in good time. So the DVD will still definitely be worth the pickup, to see the unedited versions, if nothing else.

prof_plague - April 4, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
How was Lawler's MC-ing?

I got your hookup if you need it Scrooge.......

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the offer, but I luckily had a trade going with someone this week, and I needed to fill the tape out with 1 more show.

I'm still pissed off though. First time Bret's on WWE TV since 1997, and some imaginary asshole decided to shit on my cable hook-up.
