It was announced HBK would induct Sherri? I missed that part. :(
WHERE'S TED DIBIASE DAMMIT!?!
jamiegeist - March 7, 2006 06:26 AM (GMT)
I would prefer Savage. But that probably ain't happenin.
TheGreatWhiteChoate - March 7, 2006 07:59 AM (GMT)

Prepare to be pissed....................because that ain't happening.

I can't remember what happened. Did Savage leave on bad terms, or what?

Kind of. He fucked Steph when she was about 19, so I'm assuming that Vince is holding a grudge with that one.
Scrooge McSuck - March 7, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
Wait... that rumor is true?! I just assumed it was some silly thing made up on that website that included stories of Jim Duggan's Dildo-Blender.
whitemilesdavis - March 7, 2006 06:40 PM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure that was a sleaze thread invention.

I would assume it to be true. Otherwise, Vinnie Mac would have done business with him. If he brought back Hogan and Bret..............he would have done something with Savage.
TheGreatWhiteChoate - March 7, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
I had actually never heard that. Quite frankly, I would doubt that Savage was the first one to nail Steph at that point, so I'm not sure why he would be singled out. It kills me that Pete Rose is in the goddamn Hall of Fame and Savage may not be.
whitemilesdavis - March 7, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
If the dates are right though, Stef would only have been around 14-15. Not to say that's impossible, but still, doubtful.
Scrooge McSuck - March 7, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)
Savage left in 1994, and if it happend then, she would've been somewhere in the 17-19 range. I still doubt it's true, but there's some reason Vince wants nothing to do with him.

I bet Savage will be inducted in due time.
Scrooge McSuck - March 14, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
Ted Dibiase is inducting Sherri.
And the next inductee.. VERNE GAGNE?! And inducted by his untalented son.
S.T. Strickler - March 14, 2006 02:54 AM (GMT)
Verne Gagne was the last guy I expected to be in the HoF. Probably explains why the news sites had nothing on the lastest inductee.
Scrooge McSuck - March 14, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
I didn't think he'd want anything to do with Vince. It was Vince who stole every big name from AWA for about 4 years until it was a pile of crap in a pink room. :P
S.T. Strickler - March 14, 2006 03:20 AM (GMT)
Oh yes, the infamous "Team Challenge Series" that I've always heard about.
prof_plague - March 14, 2006 04:22 AM (GMT)
I get the idea of inducting Gagne into a wrestling HoF, but he didn't do anything in the WWE. But then again, I guess the WWE is pretty much the wrestling HoF, and now owns the rights royalties to the AWA, NWA, WCW, and ECW.
My thought is...Gagne was the one who wanted to bring down Hulkamania before it even began when he offered Iron Sheik $100,000 to break Hogan's legs in that title match in '84.
dynamite kido - March 14, 2006 06:19 AM (GMT)
I'm utterly SHOCKED that they'd induct Verne. This is like some sort of a super rib or something.......
prof_plague - March 24, 2006 11:17 PM (GMT)
I forgot to add that Atlas is officially going to be inducted. The Blackjacks and William "The Refrigerator" Perry are also being inducted.
Scrooge McSuck - March 24, 2006 11:18 PM (GMT)
WILLIAM PERRY!? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, that's gold, Jerry.

I think it has more to do with sucking up to Hogan than anything. That, and I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that Savage is insane.
Scrooge McSuck - March 25, 2006 09:09 AM (GMT)
Savage being insane is nothing new. Just listen to his promos from back in the day, and thr stories about how he treated Elizabeth.
prof_plague - March 26, 2006 04:47 AM (GMT)
And people talk about Warrior's promos.

Stolen from PopupMania.com...
The Calgary Sun has an interview up with Bret Hart. In it, Hart says he will not appear at WrestleMania 22, saying he will be at the Hall of Fame Ceremony and will then fly out of Chicago on Sunday (the day of WM22). He added that he knows WWE will try to convince him to work the show but that he won't. Interestingly enough, Hart says he has not signed the contract WWE sent him about even showing up at the Hall of Fame Ceremony and again stated that he is not being paid to appear.
Hart also mentioned that he does not want to see Shawn Michaels at the Hall of Fame Ceremony and that if he does, he will walk out.
"I've basically told them that if I see Shawn, I'll get back in a cab and go straight to the airport. They'll have to get him to do my induction speech. I just feel that there's too much anger for me. Too combustible."
Hart again stated that he won't work for WWE after the Hall of Fame Ceremony, saying that it is his way to say goodbye to the fans.
----------------------------------
Oh for gods sake... if Bret doesn't show up at the HoF ceremony, that's just more fuel to the fire for my HBK hatred. Him not being at WM 22 shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, though.
Imafuckingidiot - March 27, 2006 03:00 AM (GMT)
I don't think Savage would have done anything to Stephanie. If he tried anything Vince Mcmahon would have killed Savage. Mr.Mcmahon doesn't let anyone mess with his family. Savage would never do such a thing anyways. I don't think Vince let his kids come to work that often.
dynamite kido - March 27, 2006 03:13 AM (GMT)
I think my head just exploded.....
prof_plague - March 28, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
Jerry Lawler is MCing the HoF event?
