After watching this week's episode of Raw I didn't think it was too bad. It was hard to follow up last week since there was such a huge amount of wrestling with an actual reason for it but they did pretty well this week.

Gotta say that Batista impresses me more and more each time I see him though. His moveset is expanding and the crispness of his moves is apparant. Plus the back and forth between he and HHH is being booked well and the audience is giving it props too. The bet thing just had me laughing, especially with HHH's perfect reaction to it all.

There was a fair amount of acceptable wrestling as well with the first match, Edge/Jericho and the main event.

It had its share of crap too, with the Hassan stuff, the Grenier/Benjamin match (completely Sylvain's fault though) and the Eugene/Regal wierdness.

Thoughts on the show and upcoming PPV?

4. Sylvain Grenier fucking up a kip up... REAL bad.

5. William Regal singing that horrible Lindsay Lohan song that I can't stop singing.

Yea, that was a pretty big job-out of Benoit. Why do I feel like Hunter is gaurenteed the title? His two main foils at the moment are Big Dave and Randy. No one even seems to be thinking twice about Benoit or Jericho. Edge is getting a little bit of build-up, but he still seems like an afterthought. And now, Randy gets a win over Hunter and Batista gets a huge win over Benoit. Isn't there a rule about winning on the Raw before the PPV?

I thought Raw was really good this week. Batista/Benoit, Edge/Jericho, and HHH/Orton were all pretty good and the other matches built up New Year's Revolution very well. Benoit jobbing didn't hurt too much because of the way Batista did it, IMO.

Right now Raw and Smackdown are both on my good side.

THOUGHTS:

Batista ramming Benoit's head into the exposed turnbuckle like that was bad ass.

I really liked the opener alot, even if I missed the first 5 minutes due to playing Madden...

Jericho/Edge was great as well, although I liked Benoit/Batista better.

Missed alot of the crap in the middle (Shelton/Grenier, The debate) due to the VT/Auburn game.

Trish/Victoria was a good short match. I LOVE Trish, and she's seemingly the best women's wrestler in WWE right now.

Main event was okay for what it was, although I hate Shawn Michaels, so his involvement soured me on the match itself. Orton going over I guess means that Trips will win the title at NYR...

Well thats a relief. I was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with me but lately, the Womens stuff has been entertaining me just as much as the men on Raw at least. The main event Lita/Trish had a while back was sweet.

Generally. It would not disappoint me if HHH won the main event since the only other person that I would like to win right now is Batista. If they kept the chase going a little longer it could really be huge when he finally does beat HHH.

I suppose it would make sense, but I'm really tired of HHH and the whole vacant title thing would seem kinda ghey if they didnt move the title.

Batista vs. Benoit was actually entertaining. also found the "debate" to be good as well......if for no other reason, then having Lawler & JR squashed by Hassan.
