The full card for this Saturday's 4 Year Anniversery Celebration from the Inman Sports Club in Edison, NJ has been released in today's newest Newswire, and here it is:

Main Event #1- Tag Title Match

Main Event #2- World Title Match
Bryan Danielson defends vs. Jimmy Rave with Prince Nana

Ghetto Fight
Colt Cabana vs. Homicide with Julius Smokes

Grudge Match #1
Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal

Grudge Match #2
Christopher Daniels with Allison Danger vs. BJ Whitmer

Generation Next vs. Rottweilers
Jack Evans vs. Ricky Reyes

Four Corner Survival
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Adam Pearce vs. Jay Fury vs. Azrieal

Tag Team Attraction
Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro vs. Jason Blade & Kid Mikaze

Jay & Mark Briscoe make their return to ROH!!!

Well, there have been some mentioning of Chris Hero and Necro Butcher showing up at the show and a possible alliance of CZW and The Briscoe's. Overall there are some good matches on the show (Rod/Aries vs. Sydal/AJ, Danielson/Rave, and Homicide/Colt should be good) but the others are ones that have happened a hundred times or I just don't want to see. Not a bad overall card, but it's bad for a 4 year anniversary show.

I have to admit, I've been intrigued by the Hero/ ROH situation.

Same here, but honestly the worst part of that payoff would be the matches. They did a Hero/Danielson title match about a month ago and I couldn't be bothered...............I've seen their IWA-MS match and it was alright.............nothing less, nothing more.....and it was the main event of the show (IWA-MS - A Wrestling Fairytale: The Hero vs. The Dragon). Who knows though, I'll probably check that show out eventually.

Read this from Hero's Live Journal.....

"February 21st: Here is one last warning to Chris Hero and Necro Butcher. If you even think of showing up to try to ruin our fourth birthday celebration this Saturday in New Jersey, you will not walk out of the building. That is not a threat, it is a promise. We will hurt you and hurt you bad."

Okay, it's obvious that Gabe typed this. But, what does that mean? Is Gabe, himself, going to get in my face and "hurt" me? Is Gabe Sapolsky going to hurt Necro Butcher bad? I would absolutely LOVE to see him try. As a matter of fact I would even buy a ticket to see that. Maybe Gabe can draw money after all. Imagine that! He wouldn't even need to promise everyone a HUGE life altering surprise that he can't follow through with. Ha.

See this is what I'm thinking. This weekend is CHIKARA's Tag World Grand Prix. Claudio and I, the Kings of Wrestling, will be wrestling this Friday in the first bracket of the tournament. Of course we'll win but once we make it past the second round, we won't have to wrestle again until the third day of the event which takes place in Philly and on SUNDAY. Are you nerds thinking what I'm thinking? Hmm.

As I said in NY, you'll never know where Chris Hero is going to show up. Maybe I'll make it to Edison, NJ this Saturday for the 4th Anniverary Show, maybe I won't. But see, just by saying this, I'm already on everyone's mind. All the in-arena talk and online discussion will be about ME, Chris Hero. That is how powerful I am. I cause controversy. I make waves. Say what you will about me, but I always deliver. And whenever and wherever I show up you can rest assured that things will never be the same. I piss on Ring of Honor. Maybe next time I show up I can pull something out of the Brian Pillman playbook.

Chris Hero > ROH

I'm not the biggest Hero mark in the world, but this angle is pretty fuckin cool.

whitemilesdavis - February 21, 2006 06:41 PM (GMT)
I can't stand Hero in the ring, but he's doing a great sales job with this whole angle. Plus, the odd thought of Necro Butcher in an ROH type match is interesting too.

dynamite kido - February 21, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
It would be beyond great if they had Gabe get his ass kicked by Necrobutcher........

The Last Free Voice - February 21, 2006 06:54 PM (GMT)
Claudio, Hero, Necro and The Briscoe's would make a fucking awesome "Invasion" stable. Makes me wonder who the eventual "ROH Defenders" will be. From the last Dayton show I'd guess Aries, but that's all I can really think of...

whitemilesdavis - February 21, 2006 07:02 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't do a full-on invasion angle, but it seems they will. I would just have Hero as Necro's mouthpeice pounting out the differences between a great wrestler and a great fighter.

Nothing from that show that I really want to see. Though it's better than the original Danielson/Ki/Daniels rematch from the first ever show match that Gabe wanted.

I actually liked that idea.

And this card looks entertaining. I think a lot of ROH fans have becomed spoiled. It's like "Aw, man, the show only looks GOOD and not mind-blowingly amazing! ROH sucks now!"

Edit: I meant that reaction from message boards in general, not necessarily here.

Mad Dog - February 21, 2006 07:27 PM (GMT)
The problem is that RoH went with a lot of stale matches. And several of these matches happened several times last year.

The Last Free Voice - February 21, 2006 07:36 PM (GMT)
At least it's not Danielson vs. Homicide #5,000,000.

Scrooge McSuck - February 21, 2006 08:31 PM (GMT)
In ROH's defense, EVERY company books stale matches because either the promoter is too lazy or they don't have that much circulation of talent to keep it fresh.

Example #1: TNA is going with Styles/Joe/Daniels combos again for the next two months. Styles/Daniels have been feuding for the better part of a year despite not having an angle.

Example #2: WWE booked Cena/Angle into the ground the last 5-6 months.

prof_plague - February 21, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
Hooray Briscoe Brothers! :D Sounds like a great show. I'd like to see Colt vs. Homocide.

I actually do agree with this. It's a step backward for ROH too, especially because there was a point and time where ROH decided to start doing a slower build for feuds with there being plenty of payoff's when the matches finally happened. IF they went back to that..............they'd be a better overall product.

It just baffles me that they have such a potentially strong champion in Danielson and they've just pissed it away. He's had no good defenses and he should be doing what Joe did during his reign. I just don't know why there's such a lack of focus.

Well, I honestly don't think it's a lack of focus...........it's a lack of WANT.

When Joe was the champion, they fed him EVERYONE. They just don't seem willing to do the same with anyone else as champion. Unfortunately they have forgot what made Joe's run so badass in the first place.

Mad Dog - February 22, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
I just don't see why he's been champion for 6 months and this is his list:

QUOTE
--Bryan Danielson defeated Austin Aries in Cleveland, OH on 10/14/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Steve Corino in Buffalo, NY on 10/15/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Roderick Strong in Woodbridge, CT on 10/29/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Chris Sabin in Detroit, MI on 11/4/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Roderick Strong in Chicago Ridge, IL on 11/5/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Christopher Daniels in Long Island, NY on 11/19/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Rocky Romero in New York, NY on 12/3/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Naomichi Marufuji in Edison, NJ on 12/17/05
--Bryan Danielson defeated Chris Hero in Philadelphia, PA on 1/14/06
--Bryan Danielson defeated AJ Styles in Cleveland, OH on 1/28/06
--Bryan Danielson defeated Xavier in Long Island, NY on 2/11/06

11 title defenses and 5 were against guys guys who had never been in RoH before and who are part timers at best. Two were against Roderick Strong who hasn't been built as a big time World Title threat yet and another against Rocky Romero who's in the same boat.

So 3 defenses against game opponents and 2 of those are automatically known not to win because they're TNA talent. Where's Samoa Joe, Homicide, Colt Cabana, Jay Lethal or Low Ki?

Mad Dog - February 24, 2006 01:19 AM (GMT)
I love RoHbots. I love reading how every card is better than the last. It's like ECW all over again.

prof_plague - February 24, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Strong won Survivor of the Fittest, and the winner gets a title shot; why he got two? Got me. Right now Colt has been in a feud with Homicide. Don't worry, in due time Colt will do his job to the champ, like he always does.

RESULTS stolen from DVDVR

QUOTE

a) Handsome Johnny defeated Pelle Primaue

B) Derek Dempsey & Rick Titus defeated Smash Bradley (no mask) & Jason King
CZW is in the building! The students, post match, kicked out a CZW "fan" from the building.

c) BJ Whitmer defeats Shane Hagadorn with a German Suplex, Dragon Suplex, Powerbomb combination in a match taped for ROHvideos.com

Actual card:

1) The Briscoe Brothers defeat Tony Mamaluke & Sal Rinauro and Jason Blade & Kid Mikaze in about 8 minutes. Briscoes used a new finisher.

2) "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce won the Four Corner Survival with a splash off the top rope. There was a blown spot in the match that deflated the crowd. Match lasted about 10 minutes. Good match.

3) Samoa Joe defeats Jay Lethal with a musclebuster after 15 minutes.

4) Christopher Daniels vs BJ Whitmer went to a No Contest. After about 10 minutes, they brawled into the crowd. When attention was on the fight in the crowd, Chris Hero and other CZW wrestlers invaded the ring! Hero started trash talking to ROH fans. Then, students and early match competitors ran out and fought off the CZW. Eventually, Samoa Joe had Chris Hero in a choke. During the brawl, I believe the Briscoes attacked Rod Strong & Austin Aries.

Colt Cabana and Homicide eventually took part in the brawl. They fought eachother on the ramp, and Todd Sinclair came out to start their "ghetto fight".

5a) Homicide defeats Colt Cabana in a "ghetto fight". After 10 minutes, Homicide got Cabana in a choke with a hanger. Todd SInclair rang the bell. Colt recovered, got on the mic, and challenged Homicide to come back out. He did.

5b) Homicide defeats Colt Cabana in a "ghetto fight". Homicide, after five minutes of more fighting, tied Cabana to the ring post somehow and hit him with a chair a couple of times until Todd Sinclair rang the bell. Cabana recovered later, and challenged Homicide to come back out again. He did.

5c) Homicide defeats Colt Cabana in a "ghetto fight". Julius Smokes poured rubbing alcohol all over Cabana's face, and Sinclair rang the bell.

Homicide challenged Colt Cabana to a Fight Without Honor in Chicago.

Intermission

6) Bobby Dempsey defeated Mitch Franklin with an DVD.

7) ROH World Championship American Dragon Bryan Danielson defeats Jimmy Rave. Danielson pinned Rave down to the mat and continuously jabbed elbows to Rave's face until the referee called for the bell. Danielson wins in 35 minutes.

8) Ricky Reyes beats Jack Evans in about 9 minutes with the Dragon sleeper. Evans did not wrestle in his normal gear. They announced that his flight was late from Japan, and he just arrived to the building.

9) Tag Titles Match Austin Aries & Roderick Strong defeat AJ Styles & Matt Sydal when Aries hits the 450 splash. Match lasts about 25 minutes. Afterwards, the Briscoes attacked Aries & Strong. Strong got hit with a doubleteam Jay Driller. Styles & Sydal ran off the Briscoes, and that completes the event.

Show doesn't sound like anything special. I would definately like to see what Aries/Strong can do against The Briscoes though.

Danielson and Rave..............35 minutes? I don't even mind Rave that much more recently and that just sounds awful to me.
