Title: Machete in LAX......

dynamite kido - February 21, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
Anyone else thing he's just keeping that spot warm for when they bring in Low-Ki and have him take his place?

The reason why I brought this up is because it's been rumored that TNA is once again interested in him and the fact that Homicide brought this up in an interview I read about a week ago.

What do you guys think?

Machete is to LAX what A1 is to Team Canada.

In other words, completely expendable.

I haven't seen Machete, but it sounds plausible. I'd rather see Shocker than Low-Ki though.

So would I, but because he trained Low-Ki.................Homicide/Ki would be a fucking awesome team in TNA.

Is Shocker still with TNA? I haven't seen him since July and I don't think he's been on TV since the Spike deal began. I hope he's still around....

I'll admit, the only Shocker matches I've seen have been in TNA... and he never really impressed me much. Am I overlooking something or has he been outstanding in other promotions or what?

He was decent in CMLL and was one of their top faces. In their 6-man acrobatic matches it was tough to get a read for him. He wasn't a frequent flyer, like Rey Mysterio, but had some decent spots and a good moveset. His little armbar into a cradle pinning move is pretty cool.

Not to bash TNA, but what you see isn't always what you can get. Take the Alex Shelley match I reviewed last week from... wherever. All submission and very little highspots, which is, I hear, his natural wrestling style.

Naturally, TNA books him in a division consisting of highspots and no-selling. It just doesn't work with him, and people (on another board) bash him because he isn't allowed to wrestle his style in such little amounts of time, and can't keep up with guys like Sonjay Dutt who do 500 big (and really fake looking) moves a match.

I'd LOVE to see Ki back. Would he be willing to work with them again, though? Didn't he leave on bad terms?

Well, I think that the X-division is beyond the highspots and no selling and I would say that they have been probably since Impact got on FSN. Joe is the current champion and he's about as far away from what most thought the x-division to be. So although you do have a point, Shelley's claim to fame is being able to wrestle ANY style. He's done that in TNA and the evidence was in his feud with Shocker.
