Samoa Joe © vs. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels
Jeff Jarrett, Abyss and America's Most Wanted vs. Rhino, Ron Killings and Team 3-D

Looks like this might make 3 in a row for TNA PPVs I'll order.
Mad Dog - March 2, 2006 01:42 PM (GMT)
Shinsuke Nakamura is being sought by TNA for this show.
SamoaRowe - March 2, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
Another bold prediction: Destination X > WrestleMania 22.
jamiegeist - March 2, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
I wouldnt even call that a very bold prediction. I'm pretty much counting on it. The only reason I see to order Wrestlemania is because its Wrestlemania.

I'm assuming that the winner will be the guy to face Nakamura. Although Nakamura ISN'T an x-division at all.

Moreso than Nakamura believe it or not.

Anyone interested I'll have $6 DVD's of this show ready to ship by midweek if anyone wants them.....
The Last Free Voice - March 13, 2006 01:39 AM (GMT)
I liked Lethal vs. Shelley a lot. Only half watching the show though.
jamiegeist - March 13, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)
My thoughts from reading the results:
They should've told me Lethal/Shelley was gonna be on, cause it probably would have got my buy. Especially if they did even a little bit to build it.
Joe shouldn't have lost the belt. Especially in 13 minutes. Weak.
The 8 Man sounded quite fun, as did the X Division 4 way. I thought Sabin won the match on Impact! to get in the 4-way. Why the hell was Dutt there too?
Steiner = meh. Not a good thing. At all.
Scrooge McSuck - March 13, 2006 04:23 AM (GMT)
... You're shitting me. SCOTT STEINER?! Has TNA not learned their lessons with Scott Hall, DDP, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, Jeff Hardy, and every other hack WWF guy no one wants to deal with?

They put it on their website. Do yourself a favor and check it on PPV days. They always announce shit there.

To me it was the best match of the show and they played up the Ultimate X as Joe's weakness. It was a really smart way to get the x-division title off of Joe.

The 8 man was also pretty good, although with Capt Jarrett having to get the win, it kind of fell flat at the end. I'm assuming that the Mexican wrestler they were bringing in they couldn't get for some reason. I don't know the story though.

Steiner sucks ass, but if they keep him out of the ring for the most part it shouldn't be too bad.
All that and them seemingly teasing a possibility of a Joe/Goldberg feud............I was a pretty happy camper after the show.
Christian/Monty was a little on the long side, but it was pretty solid.
eStragand - March 13, 2006 05:23 AM (GMT)
Good to know that some of the turds from Lords of Pain have found employment as TNA recappers. Love this bit:

| Petey was then taken out of the equation by Sabin and Puma as Sabin then turned and hit the Cradle Shock on Puma for the win just after Sabin was going to suffer from the Canadian Destroyer just as Sonjay did. |
Thisis match which featured several opponents in a mat-classic showcasing all of their moves that was finished when one wrestler hit his famous finisher on an opposing opponent with such force that he was able to cover him right before another compeititor almost did.

Run-on sentences are a bitch.
The Last Free Voice - March 13, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
Good God. The Future English Major in me is crying right now. And not even from the Emoness.
Decent show all around. A lot of the finishes felt kind of anti-climatic. UX was good, but the finish just seemed plain. Nothing exciting, no struggle, just Daniels grabbing the belt with little interfearence. The ME was too long and plodding, but at least had some focus. The brawl afterwords just went on too long.
Am I the only one who now likes Eric Young after all this? I used to hate the guy, but now I find myself somewhat entertained by him...
dynamite kido - March 13, 2006 03:58 PM (GMT)
No, the Jarrett's Army vs. Sting thing has made Eric Young rather entertaining anytime he's on camera. Plus, he seems to be one of the members of the roster that's always improving in the ring too.
whitemilesdavis - March 13, 2006 04:19 PM (GMT)
A lot of people are really starting to jump aboard the Eric Young wagon. I haven't really watched enough lately to say either way, though I never thought he was too bad. I thought Roode had the potential of the group at first, but he's been lost lately.
The Last Free Voice - March 13, 2006 04:38 PM (GMT)
I used to HATE the guy. I mean, I'd call him Blowtime, he was so awful. He'd botch EVERYTHING to the point where I could barely stand to watch him.
What the hell happened to Johnny Devine? I always thought he'd be the breakout guy of the group...
jamiegeist - March 13, 2006 08:57 PM (GMT)
I'm sure you've heard, but the report on Ultimate X is that Joe had an eye injury flare up, and went fairly blind for the later stages of the match. Reportedly they cut a few minutes off of the ending just to take it home because he was really struggling.
Which would explain why alot of people have said it ended very abruptly, and seemed a bit short.
Scrooge McSuck - March 13, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
That explains why he never climbed up (except for once in the start) and the match was so short. Usually those Ultimate X matches go nearly 20-minutes.
I've said it before, but Bobby Roode is the perfect example of "WWE Style". He doesn't do anything that great, but he's tolerable. He'd fit in well with the WWE Midcard. :P

Just heard about that now, I even said to my buddies I watched the show with...."Damn dude, Joe looks horrible right now" and that was after the match. He looked extra blown up, which isn't like Joe at all.

While we're at it, let's toss-in Petey Williams, Matt Bentley, AJ Styles, and pretty much the rest of the X-Division
whitemilesdavis - March 14, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
I don't think Plague gets it.
i.e. The Canadian Destroyer will never be seen on WWE TV.
