Title: Low Ki and ROH Part ways.
Description: (Again)
The Last Free Voice - February 3, 2006 05:14 PM (GMT)
Something about "Business disagreements" or somesuch.
dynamite kido - February 3, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
Ho fucking hum. I'm guessing that Ki didn't want to do a job.
So is it safe to say that Ki has burned almost as many bridges as Teddy Hart.
The Last Free Voice - February 3, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
I dunno. This is about the third time he and ROH Have "parted ways". Current theory going about the ROH board (so huge grain of salt) is that he didn't want to job to Roderick.
Mad Dog - February 3, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
I'm not a fan but that's a bad blow as RoH needs any starpower it can get.
Though the RoHbots are creaming themselves over garbage like Necro Butcher being brought in.
The Last Free Voice - February 3, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
Never seen a Necro match. But if he's like I've heard he is, I don't want anything to do with him. I hate garbage wrestling.
Mad Dog - February 3, 2006 06:22 PM (GMT)
He's a garbage wrestler that can do some basic moves so of course people act like he's something special.
whitemilesdavis - February 3, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
He has quite the aura though. Kinda like the feeling Abdullah the butcher or Bruiser Brody used to get.

Apparently you haven't seen any of his stuff for the last couple of years. Necro is actually kind of awesome, in that Abby/The Sheik kind of way. Plus, he's actually gotten better as a worker.
The Last Free Voice - February 3, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
Who would he work with though? ROH Isn't exactly prime teritorry for brawlers.

WHAAA? Him and Joe could/have worked each other. Necro can go, he doesn't necessarily need to JUST brawl.
I know it sounds hard to believe...........I used to HATE his guts. He's improved a lot.
He could also work with Roderick, AJ, Daniels, Abyss, etc etc
Mad Dog - February 3, 2006 07:14 PM (GMT)
I saw his match with Joe and another one. Not impressed. He was painfully average. But I guess that's a theme with a lot of the recent signings.
prof_plague - February 3, 2006 07:20 PM (GMT)
Low Ki will probably be back in some time. I don't see him going any bigger than RoH; TNA doesn't want him, WWE probably doesn't want him, and now he's leaving RoH. The three biggest promotions in the US don't want him. Well, I guess he can always go back to Japan.

You're right. I tend to think of brawling as a more "hardcore" style, but I can see how he'd have good matches with all those guys (In fact, I'm pretty sure I booked Necro vs. Abyss for my first GWS show, up soon in fantasy booking! Though it was a "garbage" match, as to not make myself a total hypocrite.) Abyss is out of ROH though. I guess he wanted more focus on him, but Gabe didn't want to put another TNA guy on top over one of "his" guys, or somesuch.
Scrooge McSuck - February 4, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
He'll be back. As mentioned, this is like the 3rd or 4th time ROH and he "part ways."
TehDoct0r - February 4, 2006 03:34 AM (GMT)
The only way this could be good is if Ki starts taking CZW bookings. I'd about shit my pants.
But I doubt they'd let him do that to further the interpromotional thing at the expense of three main events (vs. Strong in Long Island, the tag match in Philly, and the three way at the 100th show).

CZW is still booking?
prof_plague - February 4, 2006 07:00 PM (GMT)
On a side note, I just read that TNA is interested in bringing in Low Ki as part of the X-Division.
The Last Free Voice - February 4, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
Where did you read that? It'd be awesome to have him back, maybe even have him and Daniels go for a run as XXX again.
Scrooge McSuck - February 4, 2006 07:24 PM (GMT)
Well if it's Triple X, you need a third-person. FINALLY they can get SKipper out of that Jobbers in the Rough team, and the X-Division fits his spot monkey style.

Actually I was reminded today that Milano Collection AT left RoH under similar conditions. So maybe it has more to do with Gabe than it does Low-Ki this time around.
