Title: OAO No Way Out Thread

dynamite kido - January 30, 2006 08:00 PM (GMT)
The rumbings around now is that it'll be Angle/Taker for the World title.
Mad Dog - February 16, 2006 05:18 PM (GMT)
This is why I hate the WWF. This show is fucking Sunday and there are only 4 official matches so far.
Anyway here's the shitty card:
World Title Match:
Kurt Angle © vs. the Undertaker
Rey Misterio vs. Randy Orton - in what will probably be a new low for the company
U.S. Title Match:
Booker T © vs. Chris Benoit
JBL vs. Bobby Lashley

TheGreatWhiteChoate - February 16, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
Mark my words: if/when Rey loses to Orton, I'm going to destroy creative.....and suckbag.

Sure thing. Bring your shotgun and some piano wire.
SamoaRowe - February 16, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
Spoilers from Smackdown.
Added to the No Way Out card are:
Matt Hardy and a mystery partner (most likely Animal) vs MNM
Gregory Helms in a cruiserweight invitational.

jamiegeist - February 16, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
Can Booker finally wrestle? Or are they gonna bait and switch again and hope he is well for Mania.
prof_plague - February 16, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
Rumoured was Helms vs. Kash. But that go against what was said for the spollers.
And there will probably be tag title match MNM vs. someone that won't make sense, because they've wrestled all the other top SD tag teams. Although I would to see HeartThrobs come back and be like "We weren't fired from SD!".
Colcollazo - February 16, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't say it's a shitty card as it has Angle/Taker, Orton/Rey & Benoit/Booker, but it has been promoted like shit like the usual with WWE. You can pretty much say Angle, Orton & Benoit are winning. God, I can't believe they're doing this to Rey.

Good/bad for me depends on promotion. Shows like these suck because they're throwing together half the card the Smackdown before the show.
SamoaRowe - February 16, 2006 10:23 PM (GMT)
This is the least interesting pay-per-view card that WWE has presented us with in a long time. Most of the advertised matches sound as if they will probably be okay, but nothing too great or terrible.
Real F'n Show - February 16, 2006 10:30 PM (GMT)
I think this actually looks pretty good for "one brand only" PPV. The top three matches could all easily be over ***.
TheGreatWhiteChoate - February 16, 2006 11:31 PM (GMT)
I dunno. I'll see what goes down, but I'm not optimistic.
prof_plague - February 17, 2006 07:24 PM (GMT)
Choate just wants the fantasy points.
dynamite kido - February 18, 2006 08:20 PM (GMT)
I've been hearing that Matt Hardy's mistery opponent is going to be either LOD's Animal or Tatanka. GREAT.
prof_plague - February 19, 2006 05:20 PM (GMT)
They'll probably bump-out Hardy all together and have MNM vs. Animal and Tatanka.
Mad Dog - February 19, 2006 06:38 PM (GMT)
So MNM gets cut off at the knees again tonight?
S.T. Strickler - February 19, 2006 06:47 PM (GMT)
MNM will still keep the belts. Somewhere I read that they'll still keep the belts.
dynamite kido - February 19, 2006 07:00 PM (GMT)
Yeah, regardless of the Hardy situation I can still see MNM keeping the belts. Especially because I'll suspect that Matt will go heel in the match and finally join up with Melina's crew.
By the way...............anyone gonna be watching this tonight?
A friend of mine MAY be getting it.............and surprisingly I actually kind of want to see it.
S.T. Strickler - February 19, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
Not me. I only order the 4 major PPVs: Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series.

That's usually the way we are with ordering PPV's too............except this year nobody really gave a damn about the Rumble.........and with NWO looking solid.........we decided to save our money for that one.
Scrooge McSuck - February 19, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
I might download some stuff if it makes it on YouTube, but the thought of WWE putting Orton over Mysterio tonight makes me vomit with rage.
Mad Dog - February 19, 2006 11:25 PM (GMT)
At my height of WWF PPV buying it was Mania, Summerslam, King of the Ring and then some random PPV here and there. No Mercy 2001 was the last WWF PPV that I actually paid for and Summerslam 2002 was the last one I went to a bar to watch.
As far as WCW. Starcade, Halloween Havoc, Slamboree and Bash At The Beach were usually the shows I got. Starcade and Halloween Havoc were always bought.
Scrooge McSuck - February 20, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
You actually bought WCW PPV's? :D I think the last time my family ordered WCW (before it closed, obviously) was Fall Brawl '95. After that, I'd just rent copies from video stores and dub them... all 5 PPV's.
For WWF, WM, Rumble, and Summerslam were musts. WM because it's WM, Rumble because it's my favorite gimmick match other than Wargames, and SSlam because it almost always was around my birthday (except 1997, which had odd dates for PPVs, usually in the first week of the month).
Mad Dog - February 20, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
You have 10 people over and the PPV only costs you $3.
Mad Dog - February 20, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
Hardy and Tatanka beat MNM but the titles weren't on the line.
Scrooge McSuck - February 20, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)

Vince can go straight to fucking hell.
prof_plague - February 20, 2006 05:51 PM (GMT)
I meant to post this here, but I posted it under TV for some reason.

Big time spoiler from tonight's Smackdown taping:
| QUOTE |
Randy Orton defeated Rey Mysterio for his Wrestlemania title shot this past Sunday at No Way Out. However, at the Smackdown tapings tonight, it was announced that Rey Mysterio will compete in the World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania anyways. Instead of the World Heavyweight Championship match being Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle, the match will be Randy Orton vs. Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio.

I'll take it, by god! I'll take it.
