Title: OAO Favorite Matches in NWA-TNA History

Scrooge McSuck - January 1, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
The title is self-explanitory I believe. I'll get the ball rolling with a few of my picks. All a matter of opinion, so please don't go "That match is tehsck!" unless it's a joke match that everyone knows suck like that horrible Saturn vs. Suzuki match at the 1st Year Anniversary Show. I won't include star ratings because they are too much of a lure for arguments.

(No Particular order, as I'm just thinking off the top of my head)

1. NWA Title Match: Jeff Jarrett © vs. Raven
From the 4/30/03 PPV. Possibly the best hyped match in TNA History. Outside of the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE finish, a pretty entertaining match where for one of few times TNA had me on the edge of my seat. Probably Jarrett's best match in TNA, and one of the last good matches of Raven since he went way downhill in the physical shape department.

2. Hardcore Ladder Match: A.J. Styles vs. Raven
From the 3/19/03 PPV. Another good match with some brutal stuff. Raven is left a bloody mess because of a horrible bladejob he had done several weeks before. For instance, look at the table he was lying on at the end of the match: It's covered in blood because he also had a pretty bad cut on the back of his head. Glen Gilberti running in was kinda lame, but not too bad.

3. X-Division Contenders Match: Low-Ki vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Elix Skipper vs. Tony Mamaluke vs. Kid Romeo
From the 7/10/02 PPV, and one of my favorite X-Division matches that included more than two people. Some really cool stuff, mainly from Low-Ki and Daniels, but the entire match was non-stop action with very little slow spots to catch your breath. Skippers performance here made me a fan of his since I hardly saw anything of him in WCW.

4. Teddy Hart vs. Juventud Guerrera
From the Super-X Tournament in September 2003. Great spot-fest, as thats basically what it was. Hart's spotty selling was a little annoying, but overall an entertaining ten minute match on a show that was all about spotfests.

I have a few more, but I'll let some other people name some so I don't hog all the spotlight.

Real F'n Show - January 1, 2005 10:39 PM (GMT)
Can't remember the date, but the first Low Ki vs. AJ vs. Lynn triple threat (not the ladder match) stands out. That's the one Low Ki won I believe.

Also, both Triple X vs. AMW cage matches have been amazing.

1.) XXX vs. AMW cage match from Turning Point. If not technically the best, I think it's the most memorable, and may prove to be the most important match in TNA history. Time will tell.

2.) Teddy vs. Juvi. The pinnacle of x-division spot fests. These guys did it well. A truely exciting match that should've made two stars for TNA. However, I wouldn't blame that on TNA. Both of these guys are insanely talented jack-asses.

3.) The first XXX vs. AMW cage match. This probably only slips to third because the guys went out and out did themselves the second time around. Still a great match, but ti pales a bit in comparison to the Turning POint match.
