Title: Has Anyone Heard?...

Colcollazo - January 18, 2006 12:31 AM (GMT)
I figured it'd be cool to start a thread to find out if people have listened to certain albums, and to recommend some. I'll start off with some rap...

If you haven't, I'll be happy to up anything from this great LP. And if you have, what are you thoughts?

whitemilesdavis - January 18, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
Never heard it. I guess we should take some comments on this one before offering the next, so who's heard it? Surely DK has.

SamoaRowe - January 18, 2006 03:11 AM (GMT)
Never heard of it. Is this mainstream enough to find on something like Rhapsody or is it pretty underground?

Scrooge McSuck - January 18, 2006 03:15 AM (GMT)
It probably sucks by just looking at the album cover. :P

Colcollazo - January 18, 2006 03:16 AM (GMT)
Nah it ain't mainstream, just about underground, feel free to dl it though. I recommend For The Record (Ft. Dilated Peoples), Dead Bodies (Ft. Game & Prodigy), Bang Out (Ft. B-Real of Cypress Hill), Different Worlds (Ft. Twin) and Tick Tock (Ft. Nas & Prodigy). Alchemist is one of the best producers in rap today and his guests appearances all come straight.

And Scrooge, listen before you judge <_<

Care to upload the track with Nas? My PC is acting dumb with all my Peer to peer programs. I've heard of this guy before, but I don't think I've heard any of his stuff...

Colcollazo - January 18, 2006 10:40 PM (GMT)
Alright, no problem.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - January 18, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
I love the Alchemist, generally. He's one of the better producers in the business right now. That being said, I like 1st Infantry, but I certainly don't love it.

NEV-UH! I have a god track record with giving my opinion about something without even watching/hearing it. Remember when I said ROH would die by April 2004 because of the RF situation? :P

Weird, I was listening to this on my way to work today. The Nas track is dope and the track "Different Worlds" is pretty sick too. Good album, I wouldn't call it great, but the production on it is swankness......

That's what I be sayin'.

Actually I love the whole fuckin album. Really, there's nothing bad on it at all. Anyway here's another one...

This was actually wayyy better than I expected...

Not gonna lie here. I'm endlessly amused by Lil' Jon, but I'm not all that impressed with him or his production. So having given that album a cursory listen, I gotta say I'm not impressed with that one, either.

dynamite kido - January 20, 2006 07:50 PM (GMT)
Fuck Lil John. The fact that he's even mentioned pisses me off.

Colcollazo - January 20, 2006 10:35 PM (GMT)
He actually produced a solid album, with a lot of good guest apperances. I loved Real Nigga Roll Call (Ft. Ice Cube) in 2004, and plus, Grand Finale (Ft. Bun B, Ice Cube, Jadakiss, Nas & T.I.) is a fuckin great track.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - January 20, 2006 10:54 PM (GMT)
I respect your opinion, but I don't tend to be a fan of Lil' Jon, and the only two MCs I respect on that list are Nas and Ice Cube. Bun B is aight.
