Title: Scrooge watches old NYM/Pirates, NYY/Rangers games

While going through some old tapes, I noticed I had 2 marked "King of the Ring 1996." 1 had the show and some matches, while other had only 1 episode of MNR from 1996. After that is what looks like Baseball Tonight from 1995, and parts of a Mets/Pirates (starting pitchers: Mark Clark vs. Danny Darwin) and Yanks/Rangers game from what I am guessing is the 1996 season.
Look at this lineup for the Yanks... wow...
1. 3B - Wade Boggs
2. 2B - Mariano Duncan
3. RF - Paul O'Neill
4. 1B - Tino Martinez
5. CF - Bernie Williams
6. DH - Dion James
7. LF - Gerald Williams
8. C - Joe Girardi
9. SS - Derek Jeter
SP - Jimmy Key
So many memories... and the Mets lost 2-0 (or something like that, I kinda fast forward through most of it). :(I saw them interview Jay Bell (PIT) after the game, so I guess he did good (looks like he hit a Home Run)

Wow, with further inspection, this tape has more awesomeness...
- half of an episode of the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show
- The "Cornholio" episode of Beavis & Butthead with the "Whip It" Music Video
- the endings of Pee-Wee's Big Adventurs, Rookie of the Year, and that Flintstones movie where Pebbles Marries Bam-Bam Bigelow.
- Some of the Chipmunk movie where they fly around the world in air balloons.
- An episode of Salute Your Shorts (Donkey Lips starts his own business type thing by building bird houses with popsicle sticks)

Mets lost 5-0, I believe :). Think that was the fourth or fifth game of the season for the Bucs. Yup, Jay Bell went yard.
More than you ever wanted to know abou that game:

Yup, that's the game... either you have a really good memory or you just busted it down with the process of elimination by the starting pitchers.

Little of both. Darwin was only with the Bucs for half-a-season, so I knew it had to be 1996. I remember parts of the game, since I was on the old PirateBall fan club/mailing list back then. Back when each team would deliver 12 hr delayed boxscores on their independent sites. Plus another 10 minutes to download it on my 14.4 modem.
This was Darwin's first start of the season and he went on to be one of the ERA leaders for that year. Marginally impressive, since he was considered past his prime. Pittsburgh traded him to Houston in July.
Former and future Yankee Charlie Hayes started at third for the Bucs. Guy ended up catching the final out of the Series that year.

ES is the DWB's version of Adrian Monk. Awesome deduction skills. I am in your debt... but nothing gay. :P

I have weird tapes like that. One has an episode of Pee-Wee's Playhouse, the Robotix cartoon movie, followed by David Lee Roth and Megadeth videos, a clip from Adam West's Batman, then back to more cartoons. Wonder what I was thinking as a kid.

Speaking of Adam West........why the hell is he the mayor of Quahogg on Family Guy?

You'd probably get whiplash watching my tape, with all the cuts and all. 1996 WWF TV, B-Movies, and old Cartoons = Awesomo.
