Well...they used to show pro wrestling :)

Turn it on about 4 or 5 am. They have a bass-fishing show, followed by a kind of mini-sportscenter that is all about Bass-Fishing. Called "Loud Mouth" or something. I actually have only fished like twice in my life, don't care about it, yet for some reason feel compelled to leave this on when I'm surfing and can't sleep.

At least it's a "game."
Ok, so I'm a poker junkie. STFU.

Poker junkie. Why don't you find something better to watch?
(watches Love Connection re-runs)

I miss being able to watch classic wrestling on ESPN Classic on weekend mornings. I think it was taken off the air shortly after I discovered it was on.

Me too. I remember one match with clean cut Ted Dibiase vs. the Great Kabuki from like 1977 or something.

The DiBiase-Kabuki match was, of course, from THIS show:
http://www.estragand.com/sports/rassle011902.aspMid-South from 1980.
The series was probably taken off because they had maybe 10 or 12 shows. The Mid-South show seemed to be the most popular among smarks, and it would air roughly 4 or 5 times a year.
They had an NWA Detroit show, which was absolutely terrible. Featured a 2-ring battle royal main, where Andre the Giant simply steps out to let Bobo Brazil win. The main event was a "loser leaves town" match for some NWA title. The Shiek threw fire in the face of Mark Lewin to win it. This was before Lewin became the full-time "Maniac", but he's pretty weird anyways. He waddles around ringside and tumbles into a few chairs. The match pops up on various compilations tapes.

That Sheik/Lewin match is on the Wrestling Gold DVD set. It sucks.
Scrooge McSuck - January 12, 2006 01:45 PM (GMT)
I think I have that match taped from one of those cheap "Classic Wrestling" PPV's hosted by Mean Gene. It REALLY sucked. I taped over the entire show, I think, since it was alosr featuring a lot of midgets.

It's 10 minutes of stalling and them using the pencil on each other before the Sheik hits him with the fireball. The Wrestling Gold also had a Sheik vs. Tiger Jeet Singh match.
