Have at it you vultures...

Scrooge McSuck - December 31, 2005 06:10 AM (GMT)
Will the new year bring better wrestling to a television near you? Tune in to Nitro to find out!

Mad Dog - December 31, 2005 06:13 AM (GMT)
I've given up hope on WWF television. I've just accepted the fact that it's going to suck until the next big thing falls into Vince's lap. The sad thing is I think it'll get even worse when he's gone and HHH/Steph are running the show.

dynamite kido - December 31, 2005 07:50 AM (GMT)
Yeah, Steph has basically proven that she's worse at booking than anyone in my recent memory. She's worse than Russo, Dusty, and Bishoff and that's saying something in a fucking nutshell.

prof_plague - January 1, 2006 12:48 AM (GMT)
Really? I thought 2005 was a decent year, especially considering the comparison of what the WWE has put out in the past few years. WWE wasn't too hot until February or so, though.

Scrooge McSuck - January 1, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
2005 had far more bads than goods. For every good thing (Eddie vs. Rey, Angle vs. Jannetty) you had shit liek Undertaker dying 50 times, Heidenreich the Poet, the return of Animal and his beer belly, the Boogeyman, Midgets...

Former TNA star Trinity is sitting in the front row at Raw, along with a hot blonde woman. Fans have recognized them and have been taking pictures with them during the pre-Raw time period. They are dressed provocatively and appear to be a part of tonight's show.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
Why does Momma Benjamin look like she's 30 years old?

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 03:48 AM (GMT)
The crowd is NOT into John Cena tonight.

That's not completely fair. Cena got a good pop for his entrance, it's when he starts talking or wrestling when you can hear the guys and smarks boo him.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:01 AM (GMT)
He got NO pop for his entrance, and the crowd has turned on him (I mean the real crowd, as in the adult males ages 18-34).

I stand by my proclamation that Cena got a pop for his entrance, and the crowd was polite during his rap.

However, during the match, it was real obvious that the crowd had turned on Cena.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)
And I stand by the fact he got no pop, at least a VERY mild one compared to some of his other piped in... I mean, really over entrances. The fact Goldberg... I mean Cena, isn't over shouldn't come as a surprise. He's a one note wonder who hasn't bothered to improve in the ring or on the stick.

SamoaRowe - January 3, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:11 AM (GMT)
I'm going to review Raw too.

Why? It's in my contract to review Raw once a year.

SamoaRowe - January 3, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
 Very nice, Scrooge. My contract seems to be reviewing Raw once a month.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:15 AM (GMT)
And making references to your secret infactuation with God Boy.

Please, I rip apart HBK from time to time as well. He may be the world's biggest liar, but he's a talented performer.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:19 AM (GMT)
Wait... Kane fought Shawn Michaels?!?!!?

(puts on HBK jersey again) I didn't say anything bad about him... unless he goes over Kane again.

 I don't know why I found that to be so funny, but I did.

Don't worry, Kane was allowed some dignity this evening.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
I love to say this... so far, the best wrestling match of 2006 has featured Kane. AHAHAAH! (goes to the nuthouse, laughing maniacally)

SamoaRowe - January 3, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
Hmm, I guess I shouldn't count AMW vs Styles and Daniels since it was taped in 2005...

... so yes, Scrooge. As of right now the MOTY for 2006 is Shawn Michaels vs Kane.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 04:30 AM (GMT)
And that tag match on Impact was MAYBE **, considering the butchering of commercials and the wrong team going over.

Yeah, I agree that the commercials hurt it. I think they just wanted to fill up a 30 minute block very badly.

And what do you mean the wrong team went over? AMW are in the midst of a very strong title run and are heading into a big title defense against Team 3-D. Styles and Daniels are a make-shift team and both of them have their own feuds to pursue. It wouldn't have made sense for AMW to lose, unless it was to gain the titles back immediately.

And AJ Styles jobbing due to interferance from Shannon Moore? WTF.

And that is all I will say about a TNA match in a WWE thread.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 05:10 AM (GMT)
Styles and Daniels could main event at any time. AMW are a midcard tag team. WWE has taught us "mis-matched tag teams that hate each other" always go over the first time.

Then kudos to TNA for not being obvious :D

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 05:14 AM (GMT)
Also Shannon Moore interfering hurt it. SHANNON FUCKING MOORE?! Please... I'd rather see Elmo cost someone a match than Fag-Warrior Moore (I always said he was a gay version of the Road Warriors when he was last in WWE, for those who don't get the reference).

Mad Dog - January 3, 2006 05:57 AM (GMT)
Go to the January Impact thread if you want to talk about TNA.

jamiegeist - January 3, 2006 06:08 AM (GMT)
Before I read everyone's stuff.....

HOLY SHIT was RAW is CENA SUCKS the most enjoyable thing in a while. I'm totally getting off on the fact that they're just murdering Cena now. If WWE won't change it, I'm at least going to enjoy them being fuckin retards. They even turned Angle on his country and he got more fan support tonight than Cena did. And if HBK had nailed that Superkick on Cena -- that place would have come unglued.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 06:11 AM (GMT)
The crowd was going nuts for Kane taking out the heels and HBK taking out Kane... then they boo the hell out of Cena for taking out HBK. I loved it. And then everyone just lies around for a good 5 minutes. That was the best match ever just for the fact this was a crowd that WASN'T canadian turning on the "#1 babyface" and cheering the "Anti-American Troops" heel.

jamiegeist - January 3, 2006 06:13 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I have to straight up disagree with Rowe. Sure, he got a pop for when his music starts -- so does Triple H.

But once he even started talking, or even raised the mic, the boo's came flowing in. And they never stopped. Especially in the match.

If people now say that there was "a section or two booing Cena" I'm just straight up calling them a fuckin idiot. Because at BEST that place was 50/50 tonight for the guy facing the Anti fucking American. WWE needs to give up before people give up on them.

jamiegeist - January 3, 2006 06:19 AM (GMT)
Oh yeah, and this isn't a TNA post, this is a WWE post. The guy in the crowd with the "Schwiggity Schwiggity" sign was an obvious reference to the quickly-getting-over "Giggity Giggity Gail" sign at the Impact! Zone. That can't make WWE happy, no matter how miniscule.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 06:21 AM (GMT)
I wondered what the hell that sign was, but I liked the "Cena Sucks" sign popping up now and then. Glad that fan got camera side seats. :)

jamiegeist - January 3, 2006 06:25 AM (GMT)
I also liked "The Chump is Here" and "Make Cena Bleed". I'm actually entertained by Cena the loser, so maybe they have money here or something.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 06:29 AM (GMT)
Vince will probably ignore this and still have Cena pin 4 of the 5 guys in the Chamber en route to retaining the title.

jamiegeist - January 3, 2006 06:33 AM (GMT)
As long as he gets reigned down with boo's while doing it...I don't think I really care. Whats the alternative? HBK gets is and feuds with Vince? Angle gets it and feuds with Cena SOMEMORE?! Shit, put it on Masters. I really don't care.

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 06:40 AM (GMT)
Good point... God Dammit, why must all the challengers suck? The only guy I want to see win has no chance in hell, so I guess I can say I don't care who wins, but I wouldn't cry if Cena got jobbed out after it.

jamiegeist - January 3, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
Exactly. I don't care who wins. I'm just pulling for Cena to lose. I think that means I'm rooting for HBK. I guess I could see them hot-shotting it to him, due to his current "direction" if you wanna call it that. Again, I don't really care. He should just lose.

prof_plague - January 3, 2006 07:07 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't mind a brief Masters/Cena feud.

:...wait for it...:

:...wait for it...:

How dare you fuckin' judge me!

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 10:52 PM (GMT)
Don't worry. I've enjoyed worse.
