| Former TNA star Sonny Siaki has signed a deal with WWE. It is not known if the deal is developmental or a regular deal. Dusty Rhodes, now a member of the WWE creative team, pushed for his signing. |
I never minded the guy, and liked his look. Immediately makes me wonder if they'll tie him in to some kind of angle with or about The Rock though. He is probably big enough to have a chance for some real success though.

Excuse me... fuck, we still don't have a vomit smilie. WWE can't get the Rock anymore, so the next best thing? Sign the guy who looks exactly like him! That trick always works.
TehDoct0r - December 31, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
I think that's be really funny, actually.

Too bad they didn't pick up Apollo. They could then book Apollo vs. Rocky II. :D
God damn, my jokes suck.
whitemilesdavis - December 31, 2005 03:50 AM (GMT)
No, that was actually good. Surprising.
Ahhh, I've seen Siaki play a very good heel in Georgia. He won't be great in the ring, but that's not what WWE is about. I could see him being a big star for Vince.

I am not surprised at all to hear this news. I think Siaki will do really well in WWE.

Good for him. He's capable of having decent matches with the right people, and since guys like the Beniot's and Regals and the rest of the good workers tend to be in the midcard and/or used to put over the new "prospects" this could work out well and give us some decent matches.
I bet they have him do the whole "wannabe rock" thing Juvi had going for him back in the day. Or something. I dunno.

He's pretty awful in the ring for the most part and he'll need to get on roids immediately, otherwise I could see them bring him into OVW at best.

I don't know, he's always been fairly jacked. Plus, if WWE becomes heis full time job, he'll have that much more time to train, and someone showing him how to do it properly. He's somewhere between 230-240 and pretty darn cut. I really don't think that "look" will be the thing that hinders him.
Mad Dog - January 1, 2006 03:49 AM (GMT)
He's done nothing but regress in the ring since 2002. He's jacked by TNA standards but he'll look pretty below average in the WWF. Plus he's a hazard in the ring. He's ended 2 wrestling careers in about 3 years.
Scrooge McSuck - January 1, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
It makes perfect sense for him to wrestle Stevie Richards then. It seems like there's a rule that some new guy in WWE has to injure Richards in one of their first matches. (This year the lucky winners were Chris Masters and the Boogeyman)

That's why I'm saying, give him a few months to do nothing but work out and I think he'll be fine. Face it, ring work has nothing to do with being successful in WWE.

(looks at John Cena and Batista) Even I'm not going to try and defend THAT. Good point.

I bet Lawler Brings him in as the "Fake Rock"
whitemilesdavis - January 1, 2006 08:35 PM (GMT)
I would actually enjoy that. The self-referencing Wrestlecrap is pretty funny.
prof_plague - January 3, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
WWE should hire WEW's The Smoke, for this occasson.
