Samoa Joe, I have always been a fan of, but this year, thar fan for Joe became an even bigger fan. I just sat down and viewed Kenta Kobashi vs. Joe and it is an amazing match. Joe has been involved in two of the MOTY cantidates, IMO, and two of the stiffest matches I've ever seen. His match against AJ Styles at Turning Point and this match against Kobashi. Due to this, I have cancelled MOTY voting and it will be redone AFTER 2005 ends. But Joe is just amazing. Probably THE best wrestler in the US, if not the world today. And if not the best, at least (easily) in the top 5.

I think the booking for him has been brilliant. He's dominated the top two X guys and just torn through jobbers for 6 months now. Whoever finally beats him for the X Division title will be a mega face.

I also like what they've done with Alex Shelley. TNA's gone a long way with giving people characters since starting on Spike.

Indeed. I think Joe's awesome, and I can see him winning the World Title one day. I mean, who's gonna stop him? He can become the unstopable babyface monster who tears through all of Jarrett's lackeys, before finally overcoming the odds and beting JJJ himself...

I think it's a good idea, anyway.

In 2004, Joe was the ROH Champion for the entire year, save a few days at the end of December.

However, I'd dare say that Joe's 2005 was much, much bigger than his 2004. While he didn't hold the top belt, he did hold the TNA X title and the ROH Pure title, and became a breakout star in TNA. He has done nothing but impress and I am very excited to see what he does in 2006.

Amen to that. I love Joe, easily my favorite wrestler right now. He, Styles, Daniels, and a few others really make the X Division title feel like the superior strap in TNA, which I love. They could have an interesting feud running with that idea somewhere down the line.
