Elimination Chamber:
John Cena vs. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Carlito vs. Chris Masters vs. Kane

WWE Women's Title Match:
Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James

prof_plague - December 19, 2005 07:26 PM (GMT)
Whenever I see "NY Revolution", I first read it as "New York Revolution" and then catch myself and remember it's "New Year's Revolution".

dynamite kido - December 19, 2005 07:37 PM (GMT)
I'm sorry, but that Elimination Chamber is a fucking sorry excuse for a main event.

Note to WWE..............Carlito and Masters don't belong in a main event. Even if they did................they wouldn't belong in a fucking Elimination Chamber.

Scrooge McSuck - December 19, 2005 07:48 PM (GMT)
I'm only interested in the main event for 1 reason, but it's not good enough to want this show, since everyone and their great-great-grandmother knows Cena is winning. It's like Hulk Hogan in 1995 WCW. He keeps going over EVERYONE, especially guys much more better than him, and no one gives a shit. That title reign was 16 months of hell.

Hell, it would have at least helped if they threw in another guy that could have possibly won it.

Like Triple H for example.

Real F'n Show - December 19, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
These Elimination Chamber matches are so fucking stupid because they're throwing all their eggs in one basket. Always a one match show when the rosters are this thin...

Colcollazo - December 19, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
HHH in the EC probably should've been done, it could've been the first in-ring encounter between Cena and HHH and it could've started the buildup for their match at Mania.

HHH vs Show seems to be happening though, and hopefully Flair vs Shelton is booked too, Shelton needs to complete his heel turn on say like the last Raw of this year where he tags with Flair or just challenges him.

Personally, I would've booked Show into the EC match, and had the last HHH vs Flair match and a rematch with HBK and Shelton.

Big F'N Swigg - December 20, 2005 02:13 AM (GMT)
I would've added both Show & HHH to replace Masters & Carlito.

Scrooge McSuck - December 20, 2005 02:33 AM (GMT)
And by adding HHH and Show, "smarT" booking would be having them start the match, and have Show obliterate him... oh wait, that's HHH. I mean have HHH squash Show in 23 seconds. :D

prof_plague - December 20, 2005 04:37 AM (GMT)
I would have prefered to have seen Triple H and Shelton in the EC. Carlito just doesn't fit, hell - Chris Masters even fits relatively in the match.

Scrooge McSuck - December 20, 2005 04:39 AM (GMT)
SHELTON? You mean the guy who has won maybe 1 match in the last 6 months? Yeah.

The WWE doesn't book for workrate. Besides, I'd rather Carlito or Masters injure themselves inside that piece of crap cage than Benjamin.

prof_plague - December 20, 2005 08:17 AM (GMT)
On a side note: Trish has had the Women's title since Jan. 9, 2005 - last year's NY Revolution.

That's a Woman's title? I thought at this point it's just a piece of jewlery for Trish.

 Yeah, it's hard to picture her without the title belt on her shoulder when she walks out to the ring.

I think we can officially add Big Show vs. Triple H now - contract signing is tonight.

On a random side note: I just wanted to posted the current results from a NY Revolution poll from WWE.com:
QUOTE

Who do you think will win the Elimination Chamber at New Year's Revolution?

Carlito      9.01 %      60,149 Votes
Chris Masters  12.84 %        85,675 Votes
HBK            14.50 %    96,739 Votes
John Cena  38.82 %  259,024 Votes
Kane            17.22 %    114,911 Votes
Kurt Angle    7.58 %    50,575 Votes

Total Votes: 667,073

Somewhere out there, at least 10,000 people have more confidence that Carlito can win the Elimination Chamber than think that Angle can.

EDIT: When I posted the poll, I made it look nice and readable, but not it's really not.

SamoaRowe - January 3, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
Prediction time!

Women's Championship:

Gauntlet Bra and Panties match:
Victoria vs Maria vs Ashley vs Torrie vs Candice

dynamite kido - January 3, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
I predict that this PPV won't even be worth $9.95 as opposed to $39.95.

I actually had to think over some of these, such a toss-up. i actually want to say Kane for EC, but I would think Cena is going to WM as champ, unless WWE really wants the belt off of him now.

Flair might win via DQ, but I would most likely see Edge winning.

Mickie James would win, unless Trish turns heel and James wins at WM.

Ashley or Victoria in the guantlet match. All depends who enters first and what they divas are wearing. ...Like that handicap match where Trish and Ashley were wearing every layer possibly, and won the match. Although Torrie could win given her more recent amount of air-time.

And how did a Lawler/Helms match come to be?

Even with Michales entering first in the EC?

Scrooge McSuck - January 3, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
I predict no one I like will anyone any of the matches that matter... all 2 of them.

EC: Cena
HHH def. Big Show
Edge def. Flair
Trish def. James
Who gives a fuck about the boner-fest for 12 year olds
Helms def. Lawler

No attempt to say I tried rigging the polls here?

Big F'N Swigg - January 9, 2006 03:19 AM (GMT)
Ok, is it even humanly possible for HHH to lose? Is there some kind of magic power he has in the ring that makes everyones boots point straight up? Does he have a clause in his contract that requires him to use a sledgehammer in ever match? Can I ask any more questions that I already know the answer to?

Mad Dog - January 9, 2006 03:48 AM (GMT)
<_<

I'm speechless at the end of that. What a stupid stupid thing to do. They have nowhere to go with Edge as the champion.

Colcollazo - January 9, 2006 03:53 AM (GMT)
We got a new champion! :) . Fuckin finally, they got the title off Cena. About time Edge cashed in the money in the bank contract. Now they need to do Cena vs Edge at the Rumble and turn Cena there in someway.

Mad Dog - January 9, 2006 03:57 AM (GMT)
I disagree. They came this far with Cena and they should've just bitten the bullet and rode Cena out till Mania. While he was getting booed he wasn't effecting buyrates or ratings with his reign.

Edge had no buildup or momentum going into this. I imagine most casual fans didn't even realize that he was still owed a shot. Plus the WWF had gone a long way in restoring title credibility with some longer runs and this is a big step back considering Edge won't have the belt 3 weeks from now.

Colcollazo - January 9, 2006 04:04 AM (GMT)
I was so happy for that moment but yeah you're right about Cena coming this far and Edge having no momentum coming into this. Now that I think about it, this is a real dumb move, I guess now that after having this long of a reign (9 months), they should've kept Cena as champ till Mania. This also makes me think, I wasn't so mad about Cena's title reign, I was just more tired of his character. I've been wanting Cena to lose the title since like November, but now he has and it's worse than I thought. The main event for Mania 22 will now probably be Cena/Edge/HHH, with Cena winning it back there.

prof_plague - January 9, 2006 05:44 AM (GMT)
So, that was a surprise, twist ending. The funny thing is, going into the PPV I had a feeling Cnea would win EC, but at the same time thought he would lose the title, but didn't piece together how it could happen; yet, I asked someone asking if they thought Money in the Bank would be at RR.

jamiegeist - January 9, 2006 05:46 AM (GMT)
YES! YES! YES! CENA Lost the title!

Oh.......to edge. Fuck.....

At least Edge finally did something effective. Thats a nice change.

I think I wouldv'e preferred Michaels overcoming Cena to win the Chamber, only to lose to Edge, if they're gonna go somewhere with McMahon making Michaels' life difficult. Although the fact that McMahon had nothing to do with it sure helps Edge. And whats up with Cena being in there with Carlito and Masters last? Give me a fuckin break.

jamiegeist - January 9, 2006 05:51 AM (GMT)
Just an afterthought........I smell a giant 1 day Dusty Finish.

Bischoff shows up tomorrow night during the show open, which features McMahon (playing strong heel) interviewing new Champion Edge. Bischoff declares that if he checks that Money in the Bank contract closely, he'll see that Edge is owed a shot at the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.

Bischoff proves himself worthy again, gets his job back, maybe plays a face role. He could announce that he just spoke with Teddy Long, and officially Edge will face Batista at RR. Edge is pissed cause he lost his first title reign, and lost the effectiveness of the element of suprise.

Cena gets the strap back, I puke. As I started reading the Elimination Chamber play by play tonight, I was feeling there was a strong possibility that it comes down to HBK-Cena, and Mcmahon interferes. I still think this could be coming. They could re-hash the Corporate Champion thing, with Cena joining sides with McMahon in screwing over HBK. I don't like re-hashes, but its better than what they're doing. HBK has some serious run left as a top face anyway. Cena playing a dick-heel would be entertaining too.

But its late, and I'm fantasy booking. So sue me.

Scrooge McSuck - January 9, 2006 06:27 AM (GMT)
EDGE?! Jesus Christ... well, hopefully this means the title stays off Cena for a good while.

Good idea. May be things will turn that way. And as for the title going back to Cena, necessarily, there could be a huge touney that goes until the finals at WM, or a WMIV style touney, or the RR winner wins the title.

Say good-bye to long running champion, and welcome a transitional champion. He's going to lose the belt at WM or sooner, nuless he becomes big time babyface in the mean time. And c'mon, you really want Edge to be part of the main event at WM?

I still think the WWE should've rode this thing out until WM and had a one-year champion. ...Right now the longest reigning champions in the past decade have been HHH and JBL. Well, at least we'll have Batista.

Scrooge McSuck - January 9, 2006 06:48 AM (GMT)
I like the idea of a Rumble Match with the title on the line. Gives the fake illusion that anyone can win, even though only 2 people have a chance.

This is where a tie would be good - if it hadn't been used twice already in the past 12 years, once including last year; and have a heel and a face tie and go to WM to decide the WWE champ.

The only thing that gets to me about Edge having the title is that he has the WWE title, not the World Heavyweight title.

dynamite kido - January 9, 2006 05:33 PM (GMT)
I've also been wondering if they hot shotted the belt to Edge because of all those rumblings of his being unhappy after Christian jumped ship to TNA.

That's true. As long as the belt is off in a few weeks, I'm good; unless Edge all of a sudden becomes JBL-like in popularoty. People didn't want JBL as champ, but then liked him a little down the orad, I hope the same will become true for Edge.

By the way, this might have a better chance afterall. Batista injured his tricep at a house show.

Holy shit, I can't believe Edge won the title last night. I was not expecting that one.

Good for Edge, hope he does well.

dynamite kido - January 9, 2006 06:37 PM (GMT)
I will say one positive thing about the Edge title win though...........at least I kinda want to see RAW now.

jamiegeist - January 9, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
Yeah, a few notes after watching the finish to the PPV on youtube.

I'm really jacked for RAW for the first time in.....a LONG fucking time.

And...this is great for Edge's character, which is constantly under criticism from everyone on the net. Someone finally got to play the smart heel besides Triple H.

Edge waits, and waits, and waits. Then on the night of the most brutal match in WWE history, he decides he is using it, regardless of who wins. He looks brilliant, and a stipulation actually got used from like 9 months ago, and used effectively. I actually love it. We always bith about not using storylines from awhile ago, but this is the longest running storyline in the WWE right now, even if they haven't been mentioning it very much lately.

Just wanted to note all of this before the massive Dusty Finish tonight, which I want to remind everyone I called first, and I'm still calling. I like the idea someone mentioned of making the Rumble for the title. Gives them freedom for the Wrestlemania Title matches, and maybe, just maybe, unification match at Mania with Smackdown's TV contract expiring sometime soon (I think).
