If you're going to get impact, 'hard' is probably a good way to go. Tag to Chris Harris. Spear by Chris Harris. Tag between Kevin Steen and Franky The Mobster. Spear by Chris Harris. Chris Harris scores with a big spinebuster. Franky The Mobster is in big trouble...Death Sentence!! 1....2....3! *** rating for a good bout.

Trent Acid vs The Hurricane : The Hurricane strikes Acid. Acid backdrops The Hurricane out of a piledriver attempt. Hurricane walks into a high dropkick from Trent Acid. Hurricane reverses an irish whip...and Trent Acid runs into the referee. DDT from the top rope by Trent Acid. That looked brutal. Hooks the leg, but the referee is still out. Big F'N Swigg - December 10, 2005 09:14 PM (GMT)
Sandman vs. Regal..... It's either genius or insane.

I like it

Mad Dog - December 10, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)
I needed a way to get Regal to end his strike and the Sandman seemed like the best way to go with that.

Mad Dog - December 10, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
Plus, I'll probably look even more insane when I get to the point where I can do Bob Sapp vs. Raven for the Southern Heavyweight Title.

I intend to build Mid-South around Sapp.

Big F'N Swigg - December 10, 2005 09:23 PM (GMT)
Raven's getting his ass kicked, huh?

Mad Dog - December 10, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
Eventually yes. The good thing about Sapp/Raven is they're an auto ****1/4 for a match.

Big F'N Swigg - December 16, 2005 04:22 AM (GMT)
NWA Midwest Saturday Night: Saturday 12-10-05

Joey Styles tells us that Jericho, The Dudleys, Aries, Joe & Nigel McGuiness are all in their respective tournaments.

MATCH #1: MNM D. The Briscoes

Joel Gertner is sitting ringside taking notes during this match. Melina glares at him. Jay & Mark put up a good fight, but they’ve been on a downturn as of late, and MNM have been moving on up like the flipping Jefferson’s. Good match, but MNM just had it going on.

WINNERS: MNM ***

Backstage:

A Low Rider pulls into the parking lot. Out steps Onyx, Rainman, and Murder-One. They get their stuff out of the car when Tracy Smothers comes out of nowhere with a Baseball bat and smashes the windshield. The three spread out and circle Smothers. Smothers swings a bat, but focus’ on Onyx, who attacked him in the 6 man tag. This allows Rainman & Murder One to jump him. They hold on to Smothers as Onyx beats him. Hamrick and Collyer come from inside, and Onyx, Rainman & Muder-One haul ass. Hamrick shakes his head as he & Collyer wait for the paramedics.

MATCH #2: Spanky vs. Austin Lee vs. Delirious

This is the first of two matches to decide who will fight for the NWA Midwestern X Division Title. Spanky and Delirious start the match out by double teaming Austin Lee. Lee is caught off guard by this, but he recovers. Delirious is the first eliminated, and, as usual, it’s accidentally his fault. Lee & Spanky duke it out, and Lee’s temper gets the best of him and allows Spanky to get the win.

WINNER: Spanky *3/4

MATCH #3: Quackenbush vs. Adam Windsor vs. Jimmy Jacobs

The winner of this match will take on Spanky tomorrow night for the NWA Midwestern X Division Title. The match starts with Jacobs attacking Quackenbush. Windsor attacks Jacobs, and he and Quackenbush throw Jacobs out of the ring. Quackenbush then low blows Windsor, and Jacobs jumps back in and eliminates Quackenbush with the Contra Code. Windsor and Jacobs have a good series, which leads to Windsor delivering the Kryptonite Krunch to Jacobs. Windsor will take on Spanky tomorrow night.

WINNER: Adam Windsor *1/2

Backstage: Onyx & Blackout are pissed..

What a f***king surprise. Those inbred retards that hang out with Chad Collyer think that they’re so big and bad that they can take on me and my boys all by themselves? Do you think we’re that easy to beat, fool? Well now you know, and the next time you think about coming after us, maybe you’ll know better. Maybe you’ll realize that the best thing for you red-necked hicks is to get the f**k out of our way.

Joey Styles runs down the PPV:

Jericho vs. Benoit for the Midwestern Championship

Petey Williams vs. Austin Aries

Adam Windsor vs. Spanky for the NWA Midwestern X Championship

The Briscoes vs. Lords of the Ring vs. MNM vs. The Naturals for the NWA Midwestern Tag Titles

Rhino vs. Alex Shelley

A MAJOR announcement about Roddy Piper’s replacement as NWA Midwestern Commissioner

MATCH #4: Rainman vs. Chris Hamrick

The match starts off with Rainman trying to get the upper hand on Hamrick by brawling. Hamrick, though, surprises Rainman by being smart enough not to let his emotions get the best of him. He ignores the fact that Rainman was part of the group that took out Smothers earlier in the night. The two do well, and Rainman’s frustration starts to show midway as he loses control. Hamrick, though, plays it cool like the calm southern boy that he is. Onyx makes his way to the ring. He’s cheering on Rainman. It looks like he may interfere. Which brings Collyer to ringside. He and Onyx stare each other down from across the ring. Which keeps him from seeing Murder-One hop out of the crowd. He attacks Collyer, and Onyx soon follows suit. This of course distracts Hamrick. Rainman takes advantage and takes it to Hamrick. The crowd is irate until Tracy Smothers stumbles down the walkway. The crowd erupts, and then gets quiet as Onyx and Murder-One go after him. This distraction allows Hamrick to hit the Southern Bell Ringer for the win.

WINNER: Hamrick **1/2

Afterwards, Hamrick leaves the ring to go out and help Smothers. Rainman and Collyer get involved and security is sent out to stop them.

Backstage:

Joel Gertner is talking to Mercury & Nitro about their Victory over The Briscoes, and how amazing it was. Mercury & Nitro are soaking in the praise when Melina walks in. She is PISSED. She tears into Mercury & Nitro, and tells Gertner “Of course they won, I planned their strategy. They won because of me, and they’ll ALWAYS win because of me. Get the hell out of here!!!” When he’s alone, Gertner cracks a smile and walks away

MATCH #5: Rhino vs. Bobby Roode-

This match is almost a squash, but Roode gets in JUST enough offense to be able to call it more than a squash.

WINNER: Rhino **1/4

Afterwards, Alex Shelley steps out onto the walkway and applauds Rhino. Rhino charges up the walkway after Shelley, and Shelley runs behind the curtain. Rhino goes full speed behind the curtain, chasing Shelley. Rhino then stumbles backwards and falls to the floor. Shelley steps out from behind the curtain holding

MATCH #6: Matt Hardy vs. Tyson Dux

This one is a squash. Matt beats Tyson clean in around a minute or two. After the bell rings Matt reaches under the ring and pulls out some body paint. He covers Tyson’s arms. He pulls out a towel and stuffs it in the back of Tyson’s trunks. He then picks up Tyson and yells out “This is what you’ll see tomorrow night!” and delivers a Twist of Fate to Dux. He blows his nose on Dux, and then walks out

WINNER: Matt Hardy *1/2

Chris Benoit has a message for Chris Jericho:

Right now, Jericho, you could be putting the NWA World Heavyweight Championship around your waist. Right now, you could be celebrating the high point of your wrestling career. Or you could be losing. Knowing you, it would be in embarrassing fashion. But NONE of that matters to me. Because tomorrow night we’ll be facing off in the ring for the NWA Midwestern Championship. World Title or not, I’ll make sure that you are given the fight of your life. That you will be given no other choice but to push yourself to the limits.

And for our efforts, one of us will walk away the NWA Midwestern Championship. And the other will have a cold, bare waist.
