Title: WWE To Be WWF Again?

WWE filed a trademark for "WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION" on November 2nd with the following usage explanation.
"Entertainment services, namely, the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through the media of television; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network."
WWE was forced to stop using the WWF name after losing a case to the World Wildlife Fund. It is unknown if WWE is planning on making the current WWF an offer so that they can use the WWF name again.

I wish. I really hate refering to them as "WWE", even 3+ years later. It seems to be a chore at times, and I constantly type "WWF" anyway when refering to the current product.

I still have to correct myself when I accidently refer to it as the "WWF."
However, in my EWR game, where I did change it back to WWF, sometimes I have to correct myself because I accidently would write "WWE" in the diary.

Even phonetically is a bitch to pronounce "W-W-E" than "W-W-F".

Maybe this is just so they don't have to edit all the stuff on WWE on Demand. I know they bleep out anytime someone says "WWF". It's really bad on the old CHV shows and stuff.

I bugs me when I watch the Backlund/Iron Sheik match and they blur out "WW(W)F".
Note: I use WW(W)F because I can't remember if the third "W" was dropped by then.

I'm sure it was dropped by then. I was always the impression they changed it to WWF by 1981, but I'm always wrong.

Sounds about right and that match was on Dec. 26, 1983.
