Real F'n Show - December 4, 2005 04:30 PM (GMT)
...or DeceMPACT as I like to call it...

Big F'N Swigg - December 4, 2005 04:38 PM (GMT)
You are SOOOOOOO gay

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 04:49 PM (GMT)
Not as gay as Jeff Jarrett's shirts.

Big F'N Swigg - December 4, 2005 04:52 PM (GMT)
Not even Liberace is that gay

Mad Dog - December 4, 2005 05:11 PM (GMT)
What about Charles Nelson Reilly?

Big F'N Swigg - December 4, 2005 05:14 PM (GMT)
Still not as gay as Jarrett's ringwear

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
How about Shawn Michaels... period?

Big F'N Swigg - December 4, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
Maybe. He's pretty close

Mad Dog - December 4, 2005 05:22 PM (GMT)
Shawn Michaels wins hands down. This IS the guy that took a nude shot for Playgirl with the WWF Title covering his junk.

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 05:25 PM (GMT)
Let's not forget his gay dancing in a sport where 98% of the fanbase is men.

Mad Dog - December 4, 2005 05:30 PM (GMT)
That's not that bad. Orton's poses are way gayer than those.

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 05:33 PM (GMT)
Orton, Shawn Michaels, and a tub of jell-o in a room painted hot pink. Winner and new champion!

Mad Dog - December 4, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
Though the "Kiss My Ass Club" gave a pretty deep insight into Vince McMahon. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's repressing some serious homosexual tendencies.

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 05:55 PM (GMT)
Don't forget his mysterious obsession/fetish for hillbillies.

That's a different type of gay though.

And midgets - i.e. the junior division.

...Has there been a hillbilly midget in the WWF?

Real F'n Show - December 4, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
So

How bout this wrestling thing?

(and nothing is gayer than Shawn Michael's tiny referee shorts...)

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 07:20 PM (GMT)
Li'l Louie wore those overall things and Heenan made jokes about Hillbilly Jim when refering to him, so close enough.

The same ones Kip "Don't call me Billy Gunn or the Outlaw" James wore on the last TNA PPV?

:Hopes no-one from WWE creative is reading this.:

Tonight on Raw...!

Styles: That's right folks, tonight for the Raw main event we will be seeing dueling banjos! I can't wait King!

People still watch Billy Gunn matches?!?!

Scrooge McSuck - December 4, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Touche.

Big F'N Swigg - December 5, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
After watching iMPACT, I hate that Jarrett HAS to have the last word.

I also can't stand the fact that Tenay & West talk with the same intensity through the WHOLE match. During Abyss' squash, I was in the kitchen and was listening for a change in tone to reflect the end of the match, and suddenly I hear the bell ring. WTF?

TNA did a 0.8 rating again on Saturday night, but the good news was total viewership was the second highest in history.

Looks like the ratings slide was more of a fluke than anything at this point.

SamoaRowe - December 7, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
I'm glad to hear the iMPACT ratings are on the rise again. I missed it this weekend and I had to substitute teach this morning so I didn't stay up to watch it last night either.

Oh, I read that Bound for Glory did 35,000 buys. I thought that number sounded really pitiful considering how good BFG looked. I know TNA is still in the process of builind these numbers up, but I was just guess I was hoping for too much (I actually was hoping/praying for 50,000 buys).

Mad Dog - December 7, 2005 10:04 AM (GMT)
The numbers usually jump so it could still be around 50,000. Though it's not as big a deal because the DVDs they've released have done really well in stores.

There's also a big announcement advertised for Turning Point. Most of the speculation is that it's either Chris Jericho or a new timeslot/extra hour for Impact.

Scrooge McSuck - December 7, 2005 10:15 AM (GMT)
It'll probably be TNA announcing the signing of another worthless Diva, because "Special Announcements" on a PPV usually are pathetic. If the announcement had any drawing power to begin with (if it's a person, of course), they'd hype it like fucking hell to increase the buys of the PPV

Mad Dog - December 7, 2005 12:08 PM (GMT)
They actually have credibility with Christian being the big announcement last night.

Scrooge McSuck - December 7, 2005 12:23 PM (GMT)
Everyone and their mother knew Christian was going to TNA before he did it, since the majority of TNA's fanbase is internet smarks.

If it's Chris Jericho (or anyone of importance), it would've been leaked already, unless they are doing a hell of a job covering it up, for which then I would give them credit. But, like I said, if the person was any kind of a draw (I like Christian, but he was never given any chance to draw, so I stand by that comment), they would announce it ahead of time.

SamoaRowe - December 7, 2005 04:45 PM (GMT)
I think it's going to be an announcement of a new timeslot more so than a big name jumping to TNA. It would be freaking sweet if it turned out to be Jericho, though.

whitemilesdavis - December 7, 2005 05:31 PM (GMT)
Would you rather have a new timeslot or Jericho? I'd go with the time slot.

Scrooge McSuck - December 7, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
Time slot. TNA has enough people to juggle around in a 1 hour time slot.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - December 7, 2005 09:58 PM (GMT)
I would kill to see a two hour slot. Jericho would be nice and all, but you figure a lot of their roster would benefit from having that extra time.

eStragand - December 8, 2005 05:27 PM (GMT)
Wait...they're promising a big surpirse at a PPV that will "change the face of the wrestling industry". ?!

Sounds like a Goldberg heel turn! "And there's not a thing Vince McMahon can do about it!"

Aw c'mon... don't tell me you DIDN'T watch WCW in mid 2000...

Scrooge McSuck - December 8, 2005 05:28 PM (GMT)
I didn't. WCW was sucking sweaty balls for well over a year by that point.

SamoaRowe - December 8, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
I watched more WCW in 2000 than I'd like to admit. I was finding the downward spiral comical, that Goldberg heel turn being a good example.

Scrooge McSuck - December 8, 2005 06:04 PM (GMT)
McMahon no doubt wouldn't have done something about the Goldberg heel turn if he had any say. Why stop WCW from killing off their last hope of survival?

prof_plague - December 8, 2005 07:49 PM (GMT)
Someone on another board hintedthat Bischoff was headed to TNA.

Scrooge McSuck - December 8, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
Yeah... unless Bischoff really WAS fired (pfft...), or he has no contract, he isn't going anywhere. Sounds like a rumor from the idiots at TNA's message board... or ROH geeks trying to stir up rumors that people take seriously.
