Title: Edge and TNA

-- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Edge seriously felt like quitting WWE not too long ago due to his unhappiness with the company. There had been lots of rumors within WWE that Edge would go with Christian to TNA as soon as possible. Edge still has a lot of time left on his contract though, and if he did want to, he couldn't go to TNA until sometime in 2007.
Both Christian & Edge are close with Rhino as well as Scott D'Amore, TNA booker and on-air manager of Team Canada. |

Edge's dream was to be a WWF Superstar, and even he's fed up with the company. I don't agree with what Edge did with Lita/Matt Hardy, but it's saying something when you can make someone like that want to quit.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about Edge. I read his book over the summer, and it was almost inspirational to read about how happy he was when he became a WWF superstar and how much it meant to him to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Now even Edge is pissed off with WWE.
I would wait a bit longer to see how Christian ends up doing in TNA.

It just throws me off that Edge is getting push after push, gets pushed even while injured, and isn't happy with the company?

His pushes are generally half-assed with no blowoff.

Edge also had a dream of being WWE Champion, which doesn't look likely... as in ever.
That, and I wouldn't be surprised if Edge is really pissed about how his Matt Hardy feud went. Before WWE got involved, the real life scenario had made Edge one of the most hated men in wrestling and Matt Hardy the biggest babyface there was, but when WWE got involved they killed the heat of not only Hardy, but Edge as well.

Maybe Edge is pissed because he is in possession of the "money in the bank" and never was really given anything to blow that off after his big heel push.
SamoaRowe - November 30, 2005 03:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the booking with that Money in the Bank thing has been really stupid. It hasn't been mentioned outside of the Matt Hardy feud. Besides that, Edge keeps trying to get title shots in other ways (Gold Rush tournament, trying to qualify for Taboo Tuesday). When he didn't get a chance to be in the voting for Taboo Tuesday he should have just cashed in on the title shot.

Technically he should be able to have a title match whenever he wants up until Wrestlemania. I wonder if they will do something with it now that they know Edge isn't too happy.

Most likely scenario...
Smackdown Superstar wins the Rumble, Edge uses his title shot to challenge for ::Champion A:: at WrestleMania.
Only problem is no one is worthy of winning the Rumble this year that hasn't gotten a run at the top before. The best bet is Randy fucking Orton, and we all know he sucks.
dynamite kido - November 30, 2005 04:12 PM (GMT)
I actually don't mind Orton, and according to early reports he's definately winning the rumble to face Batista at Mania.

He's probably pissed off that HHH and Michaels ruined his push earlier this year.

He wouldn't be the first and he won't be the last.
