I'd be surprised if this year's Editor's Award didn't go to Eddie.

Also to help give a couple of ideas for the DWB End of the Year Awards.

Too many fucking options for every category

prof_plague - November 30, 2005 03:07 AM (GMT)
I tried going through the match of the year, and just got kind of lost. When I replied with my responses, I just copied and pasted everything, and deleted which ones I didn't want for the category, and narrow it down that way - so I wouldn't have to work through it so much.

It'd be interesting to see what everything thinks of the categories, and who they would vote for.

Rookie of the Year: Bobby Lashley - honestly, I'm not too confident on this one. I haven't seen some of those other wrestlers in-ring yet.

Most Improved Wrestler of the Year: Batista

Most Popular Wrestler of the Year: Samoa Joe

Most Hated Wrestler of the Year: Kurt Angle

Woman of the Year: Trish Stratus

Inspirational Wrestler of the Year: Batista - honestly, I'm not sure certain on this one.

Comeback of the Year: James Gibson

Feud of the Year: Batista vs. Triple H

Match of the Year: John Cena vs. JBL (May 22)

Tag Team of the Year: MNM

Wrestler of the Year: C.M. Punk

Editor's Award: Eddie Guerrero

Joe is MOST POPULAR? His most exposure is as a HEEL in TNA.

SamoaRowe - November 30, 2005 04:48 AM (GMT)
I agree that it's premature to refer to Joe as most popular, when PWI considers that was "Top face." Likewise, "Most hated" really means "best heel."

prof_plague - November 30, 2005 04:55 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I made my votes at the time when all I heard was "Samoa Joe" for a couple of weeks.

Scrooge McSuck - November 30, 2005 06:07 AM (GMT)
My votes...

Rookie of the Year: Shit... this is a poor choice, since I never heard of half of them, and the other half suck. Lashley, only for his WWE Exposure. :(

Most Improved of the Year: Batista (he sucked ass last year. Now he's almost watchable on a consistant basis)

Most Popular of the Year: John Cena (I want to vote for Hogan, but I'm being realistic. There's too many dumbass marks for Cena)

Most Hated of the Year: Triple H (he always wins)

Woman of the Year: Melina (best. entrance. ever.)

Inspirational of the Year: Steve Williams (battling cancer and coming back to wrestling isn't easy)

Comeback of the Year: Sean Waltman (until he disappeared again)

Match of the Year: Null Vote (didn't watch many big events)

Tag Team of the Year: M-N-M

Wrestler of the Year: Chris Benoit

I actually think he's regressed again. From November to the end of his HHH fued, I fuckin loved the dude, and now I'm tired of him. Eddy brought a good moment of two out, but besides that he's been pretty piss poor for the last half of the year.

I honestly don't think Hogan would be too far off. You never heard "Hogan sucks" this year, but I've heard that in a number of Cena matches against Angle and Jericho.
