Title: VH1......

Mad Dog - November 22, 2005 04:23 AM (GMT)
Enough with these I Love.... shows already. The gimmick died about 4 series ago. Still also waiting for Michael Ian Black, Hal Sparks and Mo Rocca to actually say something funny.

Scrooge McSuck - November 22, 2005 04:26 AM (GMT)
Who, Who, and Who?

VH1 sucks. It turned into MTV. 1 hour of videos and 23 hours of crap.

SamoaRowe - November 22, 2005 04:39 PM (GMT)
What are you talking about? "I Love the 80's" and "Best Week Ever!" are some good stuff.

But yeah, they totally pulled an MTV and abandoned music videos.

Mad Dog - November 22, 2005 05:29 PM (GMT)
They're on the 3rd I Love the 80s and they just I Love the Holidays. They've beaten the horse to death.

eStragand - November 22, 2005 06:00 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the “I Love” series was enjoyable in small portions, but they’ve gone overboard and keep showing it. I really don’t need to know that the incredibly UN-funny guys from Bowling for Soup jerked off to Madonna videos.

They killed the formula when they did “30 worst metal videos” last year. The recipe was: take relatively unknown TV actor, lock them in a room and tell them to goof on a hair-band video. The zingers weren’t funny and their criticisms werent’ even relevant.

But the little blonde chic with the black glasses is certainly bang-able.

jamiegeist - November 22, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
Yes, the blonde chick in question is hella fine. A little annoying, but oh well. And I'm guilty -- I can watch those fuckin shows all day long. They could start a cable channel just called "I love the..." cause my stupid ass would probably watch it. I love nostalgia and shit like that.

Scrooge McSuck - November 22, 2005 08:11 PM (GMT)
Here's a whacky idea...

Show entire fucking videos when the topic in question is mentioned! I don't wanna see a 3 second clip of losing my religion. I want the whole fucking thing! Less talk more action!

Big F'N Swigg - November 23, 2005 01:58 AM (GMT)
The "I Love the..." shows worked until the did "I Love the 90's." Mostly because the people they interviewed DID NOT LOVE THE 90'S. It would be like putting me on "I Love the 00's." What good things will I say? I HATE the music, the movies suck nearly as much, and the TV is boring. Which is how they felt.

I think they would have been better had they been a weekly show and then talked about certain aspects longer. Except for Michael Ian Black & Hal Sparks. Those two can die for all I care

whitemilesdavis - November 23, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
1. I hate music videos.

2. Yeah, VH1 knows how to run a good thing in the ground. Leif Garrett: Behind the Music is all the evidence you'll need.

3. I actually did love the 90's.

Big F'N Swigg - November 23, 2005 02:44 AM (GMT)
1. I hate modern music videos, but mostly because I hate modern music

2. Yes, yes they do

3. I actually loved the 90's too

Is it sad that I'm only 17 and I can name the number of "new" bands I really like on one hand? Old music kicks new musics ASS.

On topic: I egarly await the "I Love the Early 00's" series set to launch in Febuary 06.

If that's true I will personally kill VH1's president

The Last Free Voice - November 23, 2005 03:27 AM (GMT)
It's not offical, but I wouldn't doubt it. They may hold off until Julyish...

Scrooge McSuck - November 23, 2005 04:37 AM (GMT)
LFV, you like more people than I do. I can count the number of singers/groups/whatever I like on a part of my body I need to cover up unless I want to be thrown in jail.

Either way. Whenever that comes out and they start making their supposedly "witty" comments about 9/11 it'll be time to kill someone at least.
