Dark Match:
Chris Sabin pinned the debuting Shannon Moore.
They announced Christopher Daniels suffered a "Grade-3 concussion" due to the attack by Samoa Joe on the Genesis PPV. They announced the barbed wire match for the PPV.
Impact - Airing 11/19
Samoa Joe defeated Jerelle Clark. After the match, AJ Styles appeared on the video screen, discussing that Joe went over the line of the X-Division's "code of respect." He challenged Joe to face him at Turning Point.
Don West and Mike Tenay discussed the barbed wire match and who would be the number one contender for the NWA title at Turning Point and challenge Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett came out and demanded to know who he would be facing at the PPV.
NWA Tag Team champions America's Most Wanted defeated Sonny Siaki & Apolo. After the match, they brought a table into the ring and spraypainted 3-D on it. They were going to put someone through it with the Death Sentence but Team 3-D hit the ring and AMW retreated. Brother Ray said that if they want to know about Tables Matches, they can have a Tables Match for the NWA Tag straps at Turning Point.
Backstage, Shane Douglas found NWA champion Jeff Jarrett and Gail Kim at the door to Larry Zbyszko's office. They didn't get their answer.
Shane Douglas interviewed 3 Live Kru. BG James said that he had an announcement "next week" regarding 3LK and wouldn't tell Konnan and Ron Killings what it was.
Rhino pinned Abyss, hitting the gore after Sabu came out with the chair wrapped in barbed wire.
Backstage, Larry Zbyszko is with Jeff Jarrett and they announce Rhino will be facing Jarrett for the title at the Turning Point PPV.
Christian Cage came to the ring for his Impact debut and cut a promo. He said a lot of similar shoot comments towards PPV that he made at the Genesis PPV. Monty Brown came to the ring and said that Cage hasn't proven a thing in TNA. Brown tried to say that Christian was going to get the Pounce, but Christian cut him off on the mic. Christian said that Brown was afraid to lose his spot to Cage. Christian did the "Pounce" line. Brown attacked Christian and hit the Pounce.
Impact - 11/26:
3 Live Kru and Kip James came to the ring. Killings and Konnan were upset about BG James always defending Kip James. BG wanted them to give Kip their blessing to be part of the Kru. Killings said yes and Konnan eventually said yes. They're now the 4 Live Kru.
TNA X-Division champion AJ Styles defeated Chris Sabin in a good match.
Backstage, Shane Douglas was with Larry Zbyszko. Raven was in a car about to leave and Zbyszko offered him his release again. Raven refused and Zbyszko said that if that was the case, next week on Impact would be a "House of Fun" match.
Monty Brown pinned Evil Helvis in seconds after the Pounce.
Shane Douglas interviewed Christian Cage about getting Pounced last week. Cage challenged for a match against Monty Brown at Turning Point. Gail Kim came out and said that it was great that Christian was in TNA but he made the wrong decision at the PPV. America's Most Wanted showed up and told Cage he'll never get near the NWA title.
Jeff Hardy pinned Abyss with the Twist of Fate. The lights went out and when they came back on Sabu was there with the barbed wire chair and a spike, setting up the finish.
NWA champion Jeff Jarrett pinned Kip James with the Stroke after Bobby Rude hit James with a hockey stick. During the match, Jackie Gayda debuted, slapping Jarrett and got into it with Gail Kim. After the bout, BG James came out, leading to 4 Live Kru and Team Canada hitting the ring. Christian Cage hit the ring and hit the Unprettier on Petey Williams. |
I honestly don't understand TNA anymore. They are trying to be an alternative to WWE, but are bringing in a bunch of WWE workers that fans didn't care about before (Shannon Moore? Jackie Gayda? P.J. Polaco/Aldo Montoya?!).
Jeff Jarrett vs. Kip James I hope tanks in ratings, because the match sucked in 1994-95 and 1998 WWF.
Another finish with the fucking hockey stick. Dear TNA, No one likes that fucking finish, especially when you use it on every god damn show.
Abyss gets to go on job duty to try and sell he's afraid of an old man with barbed wire wrapped around him. I guess TNA didn't learn from WWE that you book a monster like a MONSTER, not a fucking pussy.
4 Live Kru? Please...
TheGreatWhiteChoate - November 16, 2005 05:27 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure what I think either way on a lot of that, but I do know that I'm tired of Jeff Jarrett.
Scrooge McSuck - November 16, 2005 05:40 AM (GMT)
I've been tired of Jeff Jarrett since 1994. Imagine 11 years later how tired of him I am.
jamiegeist - November 16, 2005 06:33 AM (GMT)
Rhino v Jarrett again? I mean, it could be worse. Brown v Christian is a nice touch, and I could see if Monty really has anything, but Christian has to go over there.
4 Live Kru is set up only so Team Canada can now face them in 8 man tags instead of 6. Stupid shit.
Turning Point could be very nice, but Rhino/Jarrett does nothing for me, and I don't care about Rhino, cause he never says much of anything.
prof_plague - November 16, 2005 08:46 AM (GMT)
So Shannon Moore is part of TNA now?

It's not that hard to understand Scrooge. Shannon Moore is someone that they COULD actually get some usage out of considering he was TOTALLY squandered in the WWE. Justin Credible on the other hand I was hoping was going to be a one time thing.....
Jarrett/James isn't THAT bad. The match won't be long enough to stink up your bedroom so don't worry about it. It's a match on free TV, hell at least the champion is wrestling.
I like the hockey stick finish. It gives personality to Team Canada. It's better than using the usual chair/fake brass knuckles that everyone in wrestling uses.
Dude, it's making Sabu credible in the fued. So it's not making Abyss look like a pussy..........he won the match at the PPV, so I don't think he looks bad at all. Now if you wanna bitch about how Abyss should have several title shots coming to him.....................knock yourself out.
Yes, the 4LK sucks..............then again, so did the 3LK.

I'm more complaining about the fact Billy Gunn is worthless in the ring, but making a WWE Midcard Main Event doesn't do TNA favors.

I don't like those either, but it falls under the same category. Using the same weapon in every match. I got tired of Regal using brass knuckles in about 3 weeks. Team Canada has been doing this for 18 months.

If Abyss ever gets another title shot, I won't bitch, but this is what, the 20th time he's wrestling Sabu since they've both joined TNA 2 years ago, and Abyss has what seems to be a perfect record against him. Give Sabu an actual win, and then it may be interesting. Right now it's setting up Abyss making him his bitch again.

Well, I guess I could certainly understand that. But as long as the overall show is good................this shouldn't hurt it too much.

Well...............it is their gimmick. That's probably the only reason why I don't mind it as much. Also, I actually like the stick as a weapon. At least it looks good when people get hit with it. That's more I can say for some of the chair shots, bell shots, etc that I've seen.

Well, I guess I see your point but do you really WANT to see Sabu pull that match out? I'd rather see them keep Abyss going and they SHOULD turn him into the unstoppable monster at SOME point. I'm thinking when he finally challenges for the title.
Big F'N Swigg - November 17, 2005 07:46 PM (GMT)
I think they should just kill 3LK. Let the two James' tag together like they keep teasing, let Killings start wrestling singles, and let Konnan start his heel stable so I can see Homicide on TNA.
As for the Abyss/Sabu feud, it gives Abyss some depth as a character. The #1 flaw of TNA is that they don't properly develop characters, other than those connected to Jeff Jarrett. Which is why Rhino hasn't said much.
And frankly, I wish they'd give Rhino the title back. Because I'm tired of Jarrett, and I don't really want to see Brown get the title. And because Rhino is a guy that people wish they could have seen more in WWE. And if you're not giving it to Rhino, give it to Christian.
Real F'n Show - November 17, 2005 10:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the 3LK shit has gone on way too long. Just split into the New Age Outlaws, Konnan and Homicide, and let Killings work as a singles wrestler, where he belongs.
Scrooge McSuck - November 17, 2005 10:19 PM (GMT)
At least I'm not the only one who sees that 3LK is holding Killings back. B.G. James is a far more effective heel than face (ditto Konnan) and Killings works better in singles matches, so logic says 3LK remain faces and don't split up when it's teased every 3-4 months.

3LK has been holding Killings back since it began. But I'll be honest when I say that without 3LK, I could see Killings fading out of the show altogether.....
Scrooge McSuck - November 17, 2005 10:43 PM (GMT)
Just to bring up ancient history... before 3LK formed, Killings did a lot of nothing after dropping the title to Jarrett. I mean nothing. He wrestled maybe once every 2 months, and for 2 weeks was saddled with Mabel as his running buddy. :shudder:

Yeah, UNFORTUNATELY.................I remember that as well. Of course him and Mabel would be running buddies. It should have worked so much better though. Don't people get it................THEY'RE BOTH BLACK!
Scrooge McSuck - November 17, 2005 10:55 PM (GMT)
Don't forget Mabel was also a black rapper during his WWF days. Both are black. Both rap. They're destined to be partners!
Fucking Jarrett and his racist way of thinking.

He's constantly training for the DDR tournaments in Orlando.
