Title: Limp Bizkit "Greatest Hits"!?

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 03:22 AM (GMT)
I love this shit... the group had maybe 1 hit, but still pad it out with 12 other songs no one remembers, and then pad it out more with NEW songs, thus making the "Greatest Hits" part of the title pointless.

I'm in utter shock.

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 03:30 AM (GMT)
Shock that someone still thinks they can make money off of these guys?

TheGreatWhiteChoate - November 8, 2005 03:35 AM (GMT)
No, I thought the last time I shot Fred Durst that I killed him.

This CD is about 3 years too late. It would have sold then, but not now

OXYMORON~!

Sad part is, 10 years from now, these skells will be on VH1 performing their hit to a roomful of fat broads in their early 30's... just like Poison. Glad to see them being written off as "has-beens", though. Next up on the list is the Backstre, errrr...Linkin Park.

I'll give 'em the label of "HIT" for "Nookie", but even that's questionable. That song contained a line stolen from the gayest band this side of Erasure-- Eve 6 ("tender heart in a blender"). You'll still hear "Break Stuff" and "Rollin'" blasting on the radios of auto service stations....mixed in with Metallica, Def Leppard and Kid Rock. But crap... those 3 are the only Limp Bizkit songs I can think of.

Scrooge McSuck - November 9, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
WWE used 3 of their songs (4 counting Rollin), and the only one I remember is My Way, and that's because it was plastered all over WWE TV for a month for WrestleMania X-Seven.

I wouldn't say Limp Bizkit has had that many "hits" but they've had plenty of songs they pushed as singles, which were prominently featured on rock radio.

Without seeing the track listing, I would imagine the album might look like this:

1) New song
2) Maybe another new/unreleased song
3) Counterfeit
4) Faith
5) Nookie
6) Break Stuff
7) Rearranged
8) Take a Look Around (Mission Impossible 2)
9) My Generation
10) My Way
11) Rollin'
12) Boiler
13) N-Together Now (remix from New Old Songs)
14) Eat You Alive
15) Build a Bridge
16) Behind Blue Eyes

Now I will check Rhapsody for what actually made the cut, I'm prepared to have a hearty laugh.

After looking at the actual track listing, I'm a bit frightened at how accurate my prediction was. And I don't claim to be a Limp Bizkit fan in any shape or form.

Scrooge McSuck - November 9, 2005 12:57 AM (GMT)
New Old Songs CD is unusual... 4 versions of My Way alone. I don't know why I bought their last CD (Results May Be Crappy)... I think someone slipped me something in my fruit punch one night.

SamoaRowe - November 9, 2005 12:59 AM (GMT)
Results May Vary actually sold pretty well at my Best Buy. I was surprised.

I never listened to the album, but based on the singles it seemed they were heading into a more "Puddle of Mudd/Nickelback" form of nu-metal rather than the rap metal style that had made them famous during the late 90's.

Would hit be a horrible abuse of my modding powers to totaly obliterate any mention of Limp Bizkit from my fourm?

Scrooge McSuck - November 9, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Only when people say good things about them. :P

The Last Free Voice - November 9, 2005 03:16 AM (GMT)
Right. I'll keep that in mind... Same applies for Ashlee Simpson or any pop-punk band. INCLUDING Blink.

Apologies for the tardiness of the deletion. My computer is sucking at the moment.

SamoaRowe - November 9, 2005 10:59 PM (GMT)
Why delete it, I think it's a fun thread B)

I'll leave the thread. It has some decent Bizkit-bashing and an errie prediction.

And what do you have against pez?

Big F'N Swigg - November 10, 2005 01:45 AM (GMT)
I used to like Limp Bizkit. I actually remember telling my friend in High School that the coming year was definitely LB's, and being excited about it. And then Nookie came out and every Abercrombie/Nautica/Tommy Hilfiger kid was suddenly a fan of Limp Bizkit and Korn.

Fuckers.

Nothing... pez is awesome. (hides collection of pez dispensers)

Pez is totally awesome. I know a dude who cooks with it. Untill you've had stir-fried pez, you have not lived.
