Title: More TNA PrimeTime Specials?

TNA will get another prime time special on SpikeTV on 12/8 at 10PM ET. It is not known yet if it will be a two hour show like the one set for tomorrow.

TNA will also be part of SpikeTV's New Year's Eve broadcasting plans. On 12/31, UFC Unleashed will air from 7-8PM ET, followed by Impact from 8-9PM ET, followed by a Best of UFC 2005 show from 9PM ET-Midnight, followed by a 30 minute TNA special that will feature a match/angle built up on the Impact episode earlier in the night. TNA will bill the match as the "first wrestling match of 2006."

Sure...it sounds cool, but their roster isn't too big to rotate fresh match-ups. I can only take seeing Jerrelle Clark and Mikey Batts get squashed so many time. With that much air time, they have to be weary of the "Thunder syndrome"... how WCW essentially killed themselves in early 1998 by spreading themselves too thin with 6 hours of stuff a week.

If it becomes a regular monthly occurence, it could be a problem. Guy like me doesn't order PPV's.. and I'll be deterred even more if I know I can get a special event once a month.

I think it's good for them. They may actually be able to build some storylines, and it may lead to a stable primetime slot for them

No two ways about it...More TV time in a better time slot is GOOD for TNA. At this point there is not even a reasonable argument against it.
