Mad Dog - November 2, 2005 07:06 PM (GMT)
Since Raw/Smackdown are going to be feuding this month and since Smackdown doesn't pull more than a few pages a month I'm combining the threads.

prof_plague - November 3, 2005 05:37 AM (GMT)
I missed some of Raw this past week, anything happen with the heel Shane Helms?

Scrooge McSuck - November 3, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
He blew off that annoying faggot who does commentary on Sunday Night Heat.

Odd way of phrasing things.

But yeah, I'm kinda intrigued by that story. Hopefully it goes somewhere...but I doubt it.

Scrooge McSuck - November 3, 2005 02:08 PM (GMT)
I'm studying Warrior Wisdom. Make fun of all that are different from you and ramble incoherently about any subject, and sometimes combining 2 that have nothing to do with each other.

Scrooge McSuck - November 5, 2005 12:54 AM (GMT)
Jesus, I just now remembered Smackdown is on tonight. Hopefully I can suffer through all 2 hours without falling asleep. :P

Mad Dog - November 5, 2005 03:55 AM (GMT)
Smackdown was pretty forgettable this week. Main event was stupid as that was a no win situation for anyone.

SamoaRowe - November 5, 2005 04:07 AM (GMT)
Speaking of Smackdown, No Mercy reportedly did 195,000 buys. Now this is a horrible number and all, but it's actually higher than I was predicting since the show received virtually no hype or advertisement as WWE was more concerned in hyping WWE Homecoming.

This buyrate is still better than last year's No Mercy, Taboo Tuesday, and I think it is a bit higher than February's No Way Out.

dynamite kido - November 5, 2005 03:19 PM (GMT)
Well, apparently they are in competition to see what program is worse, RAW or SD................they were both virturally unwatchable to me this past week.

Scrooge McSuck - November 5, 2005 07:04 PM (GMT)
Smackdown wasn't that bad. The first 40-45 minutes or so was pretty good, then it went downhill... FAST. And I'm already annoyed by Ken Kennedy's introduction.

I wasn't interested in anything on that show. I basically watched the opener and after that everything was pretty much a blur to me.

I'm also to the point now that when they do the Raw vs. SD shit I couldn't even careless anymore.

Scrooge McSuck - November 5, 2005 07:10 PM (GMT)
Roddy Piper and Bob Orton waddled around like out of shape ducks, Randy Orton continues to prove he's the worst at doing a beatdown, the Monty Brown guy squashed The FBI (poor Nunzio...), Kennedy beat up Scotty, and the tag match had a stupid finish.

You didn't miss much.

Thanks Scrooge. I actually watched the show and basically figured a way to block it from my memory.

Now I remember the Orton/Piper debacle.

Scrooge McSuck - November 5, 2005 07:16 PM (GMT)
To quote a wrestler who shall remain nameless, you need to feel my pain. :D

Scrooge McSuck - November 7, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
Stealing from 411,

WWE has announced that the main event for RAW tonight will be Shawn Michaels and John Cena vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Masters.

Whoopy! Remember when Michaels/Angle was a "Dream Match" at Wrestlemania 21? Now they seem to put them two in the same match more times than Rock/HHH from 1998-2000.

Mad Dog - November 7, 2005 09:55 PM (GMT)
Ugh... I'll never say a bad thing about WCW ever again after that Piper/Orton match. At least Orton had the good sense to keep a shirt and pants on.

Scrooge McSuck - November 7, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
Piper need to either lose some weight, or put pants on. He looked like a crazy old man walking around in his black socks and underpants rather than a wrestler.

jamiegeist - November 7, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
Thank god there is a good monday nighter on tonight. The last few weeks have been brutal. WWE will get me on commercial breaks, and hopefully I see some Divas.

They've ruined me.

Real F'n Show - November 8, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
I'll be watching because of Joey Styles, but that's about it. I'll probably end up turning to the Colts/Pats game before the main event anyway...

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 01:51 AM (GMT)
Not too sound negative, but this is what I expect from Raw tonight (judging by the last 3 months of crap)...

1. A paint-by-the-numbers (and probably overrated since it has Angle AND Shawn in it) main event.
2. Kane/Big Show making a token title defense before losing it in 2-3 weeks (Kane can't be too injured, I guess).
3. A horrible womens match.
4. Smackdown midcarder (Hardcore Holly?) runs in during a match and costs a shitty heel a match.
5. McMahons GALORE~!~!

Hopefully Rowe can suffer through another episode. :D

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:01 AM (GMT)
Coach... Fuck.

(turns off Raw)

Wait... JOEY STYLES!!!

And we get a Battle Royale, even though no one else knows it, even though this is how it always happens. Or maybe not...

And did Lillian say the "Chair-Manager" of Raw?

Edit: I need Survivor Series! KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE~~!~~ In the Main Event! How much DK? $12?

TheGreatWhiteChoate - November 8, 2005 02:24 AM (GMT)
Carlito?!?! Pulling on the ropes?!?!?!

That's not cool at fucking all.

prof_plague - November 8, 2005 02:25 AM (GMT)
Carlito vs. Benjamin has to be one of Carlito's best matches I've seen.

Well, the match is over now. I knew Carlito was going over...but c'mon! I've never seen him do a finisher.

Mad Dog - November 8, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
I call Shelton getting released in next year's spring housecleaning.

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
Ahem... did they say this was the 21st Survivor Series? 1987-2005 is only 19 by my count.

Benjamin's spots kept the match alive, and Joey Styles commentary proves that good commentary can overcome back wrestling.

Edit: Trish really needs to put back on some of the weight she lost... she was much more attractive with a little meat on them bones. AND WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE FUCKING WAND?!?!

Edit #2: Someone must've watched that Coliseum Video match from 1989 where Jim Duggan and someone else used Rick Rude as a battering ram on Andre the Giant.

Poor Alexis Laree. She just sold getting his with a wand.

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:45 AM (GMT)
Kane got 38% of the voting?!!?!? HOLY CRAP! (dances) It's a moral victory, but I'll take it.

SamoaRowe - November 8, 2005 02:47 AM (GMT)
I'm not doing a review of Raw this week, in fact I still need to get to last Thursday's TNA show.

So far it's been a pretty decent episode, though it probably only seems that way in comparison to every show they put on in October.

Shelton/Carlito was a good carry job by Shelton, bringing Carlito to the ** territory.

The diva segment was good enough.

The rest of the show looks interesting enough to have on in the background while I surf the internet.

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:49 AM (GMT)
(chants) You sold out! You sold out! You sold out! I guess I'll review Raw... in super-short-bridged-version!

SamoaRowe - November 8, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Haha, I sure did sell out, and I'd do it again given the chance.

Glad to see Gregory Helms become another cocky, sun-glass wearing heel. I didn't think WWE had enough of those.

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
WWE must spend millions of dollars on sunglasses and pocket change on new ideas.

Was that a "This Guy Sucks" sign that walked by the screen?

prof_plague - November 8, 2005 02:53 AM (GMT)
Difference is I like Helms. And his is a turn long overdue

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:55 AM (GMT)
Scrooge Spooge Level for next segment: 1,059

Finally, Kane has a title again, even if it's the worthless tag belts.

I agree. In a recent interview, Helms said that the Hurricane gimmick was only supposed to last for 3-4 months, and he ended up doing it for four years. The guy really does deserve a legitimate push.

Did WWE already give up on Rob Conway?

And on second thought, I think I'd rather do my TNA review tonight instead of watching Raw :P I'll wait until after the tag title match though, it looks like fun.

Scrooge McSuck - November 8, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
Revie Raw you communist bastard! Fuck TNA! TNA sucks! Raw is the place to watch!

Well, is it sad that an appearance by Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch was enough to keep me from getting my TNA tape upstairs?

Now Scrooge, just because TNA doesn't feature the fine wrestling talent of Kane and Hogan, and instead focuses on lazy fat-asses like Samoa Joe, does not mean it sucks.

</sarcasm>

prof_plague - November 8, 2005 03:01 AM (GMT)
I like Big Show and Kane as a tag team. Plus they may help a sense of credibility to the tag titles. Well, not credibility, but image.

How long do you think the hold the titles? 2 months?

I wouldn't be surprised if they get screwed out of the belts somehow tonight since Kane is reportedly injured.

Though I'm beginning to doubt he really is, especially since they went and announced Kane for Survivor Series.

The should send him to SD and be tag partners with Sylvian. Although Conway could just as well tag-up with Helms.
