Title: RoH Fans
Description: How I Hate Them

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 04:12 PM (GMT)
In their continued quest to become worse than ECW mutants the latest meme from RoH fans is that TNA is succeeding now because they're stealing RoH's identity.

I wander several boards and this sentiment seems to be rising now that it's starting to look like TNA is going to turn the financial corner this month. It just totally reminds me of how ECW fans were.

dynamite kido - October 31, 2005 04:21 PM (GMT)
I don't just hate ROH fans, I hate the majority of wrestling fans........

People are fucktards........don't let it ruin anything for you though.

Real F'n Show - October 31, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
Mark Crowds > Smark Crowds.

Fuck putting yourself over with chants.

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 07:47 PM (GMT)
Definately. Marks don't pester me at shows about how I sit there quietly.

The Last Free Voice - October 31, 2005 08:10 PM (GMT)
I think hating ALL RoH fans for the actions of a few dumbshits at shows is stupid. Yes, there are idiot fans at ROH. Yes, they're loud. But you'll get that everywhere. However, I will say at ROH they seem particularly bad. That "Belt Boy" had me wanting to take him out in the Parking lot. I think someone actually hit him after the show...

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 08:14 PM (GMT)
Nothing is worse than that Green Lantern jackass.

I agree. I decided to throw my big ass wad of gum at him when I saw him at At Our Best in NJ last year.

whitemilesdavis - October 31, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
Like I've said before, at least they're enthusiastic. You know why ROH seems important? Because the crowds act like it's important. Have those same matches in front of 100 silent dorks, and most of the wrestling world would never even hear about it.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - October 31, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
The show I went to was a pretty good balance. There were the regular loud jackasses, yes, but most of the fans were pretty cool. I'm not including Plague in the "cool" category, though.

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 08:23 PM (GMT)
Eh........ the crowds annoy me with RoH. At most shows they seem to be creaming themselves over the garbage matches with the Special Krs and then sit on their hands for long portions of the actual quality stuff.

Don't forget when they get all fanboy and go apeshit everytime Corino is in one of their rings.

Hey man, I'm no fanboy. I have....

Yeah. I'm a fanboy.

Sorry, I felt it to be totally appropriate for this thread.

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 08:58 PM (GMT)
At least we can all agree that Green Lantern Fan is an ass.

whitemilesdavis - October 31, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
Any fan who has his own gimmick sucks royally.

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
You'd think he'd take a hint when all of the wrestlers fucking hate him. Didn't Scott Hall threaten him at that Maximo show in the winter?

The Last Free Voice - October 31, 2005 09:14 PM (GMT)
Why does everyone hate him? I mean, I've never met him, so I can't say one way or the other... But is it just that he has a "gimmick"?

whitemilesdavis - October 31, 2005 09:18 PM (GMT)
That's it for me.

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 09:19 PM (GMT)
I've seen his posts and how he acts at shows........

He's everything that's wrong with wrestling fans.

The Last Free Voice - October 31, 2005 09:20 PM (GMT)
Having never been to the same show as him, how does he act? I mean, he has to do somethin pretty damn stupid to get so many people to hate him...

whitemilesdavis - October 31, 2005 09:22 PM (GMT)
To me it's the equivolent of someone going to see a band, but taking his own guitar and playing really loud during the whole show. It's distracting when fans are trying to get their own gimmick over. The wrestlers are the star of the show. Period.

Mad Dog - October 31, 2005 09:24 PM (GMT)
I've only seen him on DVDs and even then he's annoying. He's very irritating on the boards he posts at. I think the guy actually believes that people pay to come to shows to see him. He's trying to be that guy that was at every single ECW show or the Big Dawg at the Browns games.

The Last Free Voice - October 31, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
Ah. Gotcha.

Real F'n Show - October 31, 2005 11:05 PM (GMT)
ROH fans may suck, but they have nothing on the shitty TNA fans. That "You're Both Awesome!" chant at Bound for Glory gave me that feeling you get when you get embarassed for someone else...

SamoaRowe - October 31, 2005 11:13 PM (GMT)
Kind of like the girls in the audience who cry whenever something really violent happens to Jeff Hardy?

You would think wrestling fans were the stupidest bunch of people on earth, wouldn't you?

*looks around board

Um, nevermind.

Scrooge McSuck - November 1, 2005 01:05 AM (GMT)
...Green Lantern Fan? Oh boy, this guy must be a gem.

Big F'N Swigg - November 1, 2005 03:08 AM (GMT)
I have to say, at the ROH shows I've been to, there were maybe 3 people who have made me want to kill them. The rest of the time, they seem fairly into the matches.

My peeve is the TNA regulars. They ruin the show for me

Scrooge McSuck - November 1, 2005 03:14 AM (GMT)
Didn't you call them a great crowd yesterday?

Big F'N Swigg - November 1, 2005 03:15 AM (GMT)
This past week was a good crowd. But from what I read, it included a LOT of first timers. They actually booed Daniels, they watched the match and didn't start a lot of dueling chants. Usually, though, the TNA crowd is miserable.

Honestly, though, I think TNA does a lot to make them that way

Scrooge McSuck - November 1, 2005 03:22 AM (GMT)
Especially when we can see Jeremy Dumassh playing to the crowd during every match.

Big F'N Swigg - November 1, 2005 03:33 AM (GMT)
Well, there are other things. During the Dudley's promo, I noticed they have lights that wave back and forth throughout everything, which is unconciously distracting. They also have all those STUPID laser lights waving throughout the arena.

Basically, there is too much going on in the arena.

SamoaRowe - November 24, 2005 06:15 PM (GMT)
I agree that there are too many random lights on during iMPACT tapings. I wish the camera men would get their act together too.

Big F'N Swigg - November 26, 2005 01:12 AM (GMT)
I think they're just trying to hard to create a vibe that action is occuring. The commentary plays into that as well

TehDoct0r - November 29, 2005 06:22 AM (GMT)
The Green Lantern Fan is a complete and total ass, and I take pleasure in heckling the shit out of him at every ROH show I attend. I realize that attention is what he's seeking, but I can't help myself. At Testing the Limit in August of 04 in Philly, he refused to watch Rockin Rebel's match. But instead of just going to the bathroom or the merch table or getting some food, the asshole stands up in the front row and turns his back on the ring for the entirety of the match. Now, if he just didn't like Rebel as a worker, he could have booed him, or not reacted at all. By doing this, he drew attention to himself like a huge prick. The thing that really pissed me off is, Rebel gets matches on the ROH shows in Philly because they use his promoters liscence in PA, since Feinstein had theres and he was outsted. So Rebel is on the show getting a little squash match payday in exchange for ALLOWING THE PROMOTION TO RUN THE SHOW, and GLF pulls that shit. Considering he was associated with CZW at the time, Rebel could have very easily done what Zandig would love him to do and force ROH out, but he didn't. And GLF thinks hes cool for disrespecting him and using that as a veichle to draw attention to himself. Fuck him.

Scrooge McSuck - November 29, 2005 03:57 PM (GMT)
Kick his ass. I'm sure you'll get the best babyface reaction of the show.

dynamite kido - November 29, 2005 10:00 PM (GMT)
I wish Rebel would have hit him in the back of the head with a fucking chair. The guys a total fag.

Big F'N Swigg - November 30, 2005 02:54 AM (GMT)
I would buy a drink just to throw it on the guy
