- At the October 15 WWE show in Hawaii, Victoria wrestled her match in street clothes as her luggage arrived too late and didn't make it to the show.
- The Rock appeared on "The Late Show With David Letterman" to promote his new movie, "Doom".
The Rock said he just wrapped two other movies. Dave talked about Rock's wrestling and football background. Well, actually they talked more about football. They talked about USC's 27th victory in a row. Dave asked Rock if he had fond memories about University of Miami. Rock mentioned Warren Sapp and told a story about a game where there was a bench clearing brawl against San Diego State. Rock said he looked over and saw their mascot on the sidelines taunting UM. Rock ran into the stands and after all the fines were levied the worst was the phone call from his mom. Dave showed the videotape of the incident. Funny stuff.
After the commercial Dave showed a picture from a scene he did with Sarah Michelle Gellar from an upcoming movie. Rock said that this photo was in the tabloids. His wife questioned him on it when she saw it but explained that it was from the movie. Rock looks to have lost some weight. Then they showed a clip from "Doom". It was another good interview from the Rock.. Again, Rock didn't mention WWE by name.
- The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Triple H is not a backer of Jim Ross backstage. It all goes back to what happened years ago, when Jim Ross was playing hardball with Triple H when working out a new contract. Triple H felt that Ross was treating him as a second-tier talent, rather than the main eventer he is. Years later, when HHH expressed his frustration with that, Vince told Hunter that he should have just came to him to talk about it. Which is interesting because it was Vince's very own orders that JR was carrying out at the time.
Some feel that one other thing that has been working against Ross, aside from stepping down from his full-time position at WWE headquarters, is how vocal he has been against the current direction of the company. Especially with Stephanie McMahon, when it comes to "sports" versus "entertainment", and which one should come before the other.
- - A brief article has been added regarding the current health status of Jim Ross after going through colon surgery yesterday. Jim Ross is said to be "hanging tough" after colon surgery yesterday, according to J.R.'s wife, Jan. "Yesterday and today have been a little tough," said Jan Ross. "But we are very happy with how the surgery went. He is in great hands and is being taken care of."
- Footage of Saliva lead singer Josey Scott working on the theme music for Batista at WWE Headquarters has been posted on WWE.com
- A new "CoachCast" has been added to WWE.com with Mick Foley as The Coach's guest this week. The Coach is more 'suttle' this week.
- WWE has 6/11/06 penciled in for One Night Stand II.
- WWE is releasing the "Divas Uncovered" book on 10/25.
- John Cena and JBL will be appearing at the American Freedom Festival in New York City on 11/11.
- Kid Kash was originally scheduled to work this past weekends SmackDown! brand house shows but was pulled because of a dress code infraction. Kash was at the TV tapings last week and was present during Vince McMahon' meeting about being late and the dress code. Kash was apparently seen by agents at the airport in jeans and a t-shirt at 5AM. Kash was removed because of this and replaced with Nunzio. Kash has been sent back to Deep South Wrestling and there are actually some who believe his job could be in danger because of this. Managements feeling is that there are loads of other guys who would love to be a part of the main roster and would be willing to follow the 'rules'.
- Mike Mondo was fined and banned from OVW house shows after cursing during a show in Austin, Indiana on Friday. The feeling right now is that he'll be back when the situation calms down. There was fear that they may lose an advertising deal from it.
- The Big Show will be on WWE.com's Byte This program.
- The Bret Hart DVD, which will be released on 11/15, will be six hours and nine minutes long.
- According to a Charlotte Observer poll, Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson were voted the most beautiful women in sports, ahead of Danica Patrick, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.

Wow... I could probably be voted as a more beautiful woman than Serena Williams, even though I'm a dude.

Yeah, that Kid Kash story is a bunch of crap. WWE should be more worried about their creative team doing their jobs correctly rather than how a new hiree dressed when he got off an airplane.

I agree that the Kash thing is bullshit, but when they brought him in they knew he had a rep for being an asshole and him doing this didn't do him any favors.

I can understand them demoting/firing him for copping an attitude all the time... but he's in regular civilian clothes, in an airport, at 5 AM! Who the fuck is going to see him? Business men that think wrestling is for losers?

I know, it's like preaching to the choir though Scrooge.

The brothas down here are REALLY hot for Serena. That's probably the name I hear more than any other.
Scrooge McSuck - October 21, 2005 07:42 PM (GMT)
It's probably because of her ass since she looks like a man.

I'm from the north and I'd have to agree with you.

At least JR stepped down for the right reasons.
I forgot Mondo was in OVW.

HHH has to be one of the most petty people I've ever seen.
