Come on, Simon Dean shouldn't even be an honourable mention.
Can't really argue the rest. What's the point of signing a barely mobile british fat guy to play Loch Ness? There's plenty of others in america to do the same who could probably put on the same matches.
Gooker sucked, but the good thing was it appeared 2-3 times tops (including TV tapings).
Droese... eh, at least he wasn't a horrible wrestler. :)

Are you kidding me? He's a walking infomercial. It's fucking awful and the guy hasn't been over for ONE second of his WWE career after spending all that time in OVW?

Not being over and being a horrible gimmick are two different things. Is a fitness guru/infomercial character good? Probably not, unless you're the biggest Body Donnas fan (Skip & Zip only). Is it one of the worst gimmicks created that insults the intelligence of fans? Not even close.
The Gooker, Shockmaster, and Scorpion will all make it to the Semi-Finals, unless the Tournament is rigged so they face each other in the 1st and 2nd Rounds.

How Cheex gets in over the Black Scorpion, considered the biggest flopped angle in the history of WCW, with some of the worst build up for a "main event" (a magic show?!) is beyond me. Considering he appeared once for 3 minutes and was just a fat fuck.

I still don't know how Rob Bartlett was made wrestlecrap. He was far more entertaining than 80% of the people employed by WWF for PBP in the last 15 years.
Replace him with Todd Pettengill, an unfunny radio host that tried too hard at being funny.

Everything looks good in terms of "worst gimmicks" and dark horse selections. Too bad RD never inducted the New Midnight Express. I bet Jim Cornette loved every minute of that angle.
