Title: TNA Ratings News
Mad Dog - October 11, 2005 02:47 PM (GMT)
TNA did an .82 this week which is huge for them. They actually added viewers.
whitemilesdavis - October 11, 2005 03:02 PM (GMT)
It seems like a small gain, but in reality t means something like 100,000 new viewers. In that time slot, it is a wonderful gain. They really need to put on a blowaway show soon though.
SamoaRowe - October 11, 2005 03:10 PM (GMT)
I was really pleased to hear this news. Any gain is a good gain, IMO. That is still better than the .5-.7 rating that Velocity was getting.
Mad Dog - October 11, 2005 03:10 PM (GMT)
It said the 18-49 demo saw a hugh increase. They might be pulling a 1.0 in that area. The WWF is probably giving them a big hand with the last month of shows they've put out.
whitemilesdavis - October 11, 2005 04:36 PM (GMT)
Don't tell me you wouldn't rather watch Linda Mcmahon than AJ styles.
Scrooge McSuck - October 12, 2005 12:16 AM (GMT)
Hmmm... while Linda gives you the car crash effect, I can't turn down a good wrestling match. I just need to remember to watch. :P
SamoaRowe - October 12, 2005 12:18 AM (GMT)
Raw's main event: Linda turning heel and kicking Jim Ross in the nuts.
Impact's main event: Hot tag match between two teams who hadn't face each other before, which boils down to a convincing beat-down by the top heels in the company.

Cheap finishes suck, so TNA loses points.
Big F'N Swigg - October 12, 2005 01:19 AM (GMT)
It was a good cheap finish
Besides, a Red Sox/CM Punk fan gave you your name. So you lose points

I didn't mind the finish, because it will lead to more 3-D/AMW matches that will likely be more heated.
And Gail Kim is hot.
B)
TheGreatWhiteChoate - October 12, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
Maybe you guys should start a Gail Kim thread, where you can dream you'll someday have her.
And then remember you've got a snowball in a down jacket's chance in hell.
SamoaRowe - October 12, 2005 01:40 AM (GMT)

You know you want to ;)
She's easier to look at than Linda and Stephanie.
prof_plague - October 12, 2005 01:47 AM (GMT)
I beg to differ. it's all about the Billion Dollar Booty.

Stephanie McMahon in 2000, perhaps, but the 2005 version is less than appealing.

More like the Billion Dollar Boobies
jamiegeist - October 12, 2005 02:33 AM (GMT)
The fact that she sucks Triple H's dick is quite enough for me to immediately find her unattractive, no matter how hot I ever thought she was.
Scrooge McSuck - October 12, 2005 02:35 AM (GMT)
I find Gail Kim attractive not, and why the fuck is a woman running in during a tag team main event?

Because she's the new valet of Jarrett/AMW? It was only a matter of time they gave her something to do, it's not like there are a ton of other women for her to feud with. Now that I'm thinking of it, I would like to see Gail vs Traci.
Scrooge McSuck - October 12, 2005 02:42 AM (GMT)
Lame... TNA was doing fine since dumping the eye candy. Why bring it back now?

Gail Kim and Traci are a big step up from random hick women dancing around in a cage.
Scrooge McSuck - October 12, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Still serves no purpose unless they actually wrestle. I seem to remember maybe 3 womens matches in TNA history that didn't include men as partners.
whitemilesdavis - October 12, 2005 01:21 PM (GMT)
I was wrong on my ratings numbers. It actually calculates to about 200,000 new viewers. Unreal.
Scrooge McSuck - October 12, 2005 01:40 PM (GMT)
200,000 new viewers!?!?!? Wha... Wha...
(collapses)
TNA is still far from being on the map, but they are monkey spanking the Velocity ratings from the past 8 months.
dynamite kido - October 12, 2005 01:46 PM (GMT)
Good for them..............hopefully it continues...
whitemilesdavis - October 12, 2005 01:56 PM (GMT)
They could easily go over the million mark in the next couple of weeks. Think about that...1 million people watching TNA.

Nice thought..........isn't it?
The Last Free Voice - October 12, 2005 07:35 PM (GMT)
What ever happened to Trinity? Gail vs. Trinity would rock.
And what are the odds of Molly Holly ending up in TNA? If they were to actually get serious about bringing in women to wrestle, which they probibly aren't...
