Title: Saw II
theintensifier - October 10, 2005 11:29 PM (GMT)
Anybody want to see this?
Scrooge McSuck - October 10, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
Unnecessary sequels suck.
theintensifier - October 10, 2005 11:49 PM (GMT)
That's one no, anybody else?
TheGreatWhiteChoate - October 10, 2005 11:59 PM (GMT)
I didn't even want to see the first one, honestly.
dynamite kido - October 11, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
I'll see it. But it has a possiblity of bringing the suck although I thought the previews I saw for it were solid. It's totally going to depend on if they could bring a different thing to the table as far as the killer goes. If it's just a bullshit sequel though just for more $$$ then fuck it, it'll be terrible.
theintensifier - October 11, 2005 12:12 AM (GMT)
I don't know why, but I really liked the first one. I thought the concept of the killer was very unique, although, voyerism is pretty lame.

Without giving too much away to anyone who hasn't seen the first one............I wasn't diggin it too much, but the ending won me over totally.
jamiegeist - October 11, 2005 05:07 AM (GMT)
The first one was absolutely atrocious script/acting/dialog wise. But somehow it was very enjoyable. I was diggin it for the most part, and the ending was cool. It was hilariously okay, and I wouldn't mind seeing the sequel, although I would catch it on rental, just like Saw.

I'm sure they can use the leftover set of another Tool video for part 2.

The script for the first one was actually solid. There wasn't anything wrong with the dialog either...............although Cary Elwes did a horrendous job, everyone else was fine.
jamiegeist - October 13, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
Maybe it was more the delivery of Elwes just that just sucked the life out of the rest for me. Probably a bad interpretation by myself, and I apologize. He was just so laughable in everything he said. And this comes from one of the biggest fans in the world of the Princess Bride and Cary himself.

I just got back from checking it out and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised.
It's on par with the first film although this one lacks a bit in the character development area. You learn some more about Jigsaw and they tie the two films together VERY well.
Oh, and they stepped it up a bit in the gore department as well.

Of course they were, most studio's these days think that way. They're always looking for the next franchise horror film.

I saw it. It wasn't anything special. The twist at the end was good, kinda, ok, really weird.
