Title: General Discussion

Mad Dog - October 10, 2005 08:15 PM (GMT)
Just post whatever in here. Comment on your roster, etc.

Mad Dog - October 10, 2005 08:18 PM (GMT)
John Cena was a surprisingly cheap hire. He signed a written for $45,000 a month. Booker T was way more than I thought. He cost me something like $182,000 a month to get on a written deal.

prof_plague - October 10, 2005 08:26 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I hired too many legends. I'll have to run through costs afterwards.

Are we allowed to have sponsors?

Mad Dog - October 10, 2005 08:28 PM (GMT)
Yeah, just run the game like you normally would. Get sponsors, staff and open a school and developmental territory.

Real F'n Show - October 10, 2005 09:13 PM (GMT)

So all the staffers refuse to begin negtotiations with me. ANyone else have this problem?

prof_plague - October 11, 2005 05:23 AM (GMT)
What titles do we put in our promotions? And how will floating titles work?

No everyone signed up with me just fine. Maybe try starting a new game or something.

Your promotions belts are entirely up to you. Floating titles will just require you to sign the champion to an open contract to have him come and defend against someone in your fed. No one will actually have the floating belts in their game.

If you need ideas for belts this is what I'll have for Mid-South:

Southern Heavyweight Title
Southern Tag Team Titles
Mississippi State Title
Southern Lightweight
Hardcore Title

Excellent. Thanks.

Mad Dog - October 11, 2005 09:20 PM (GMT)
So is anyone going to take a shot at a women's division?

I'm considering it but it would cost $200,000+ a month to get Aja Kong and Akira Hokuto to anchor the division.

prof_plague - October 11, 2005 09:43 PM (GMT)
I considered it, but I think I might pass for now.

Mad Dog - October 11, 2005 09:48 PM (GMT)
I just went through most of the worthwhile women. The only female workers worth a damn are all Japanese and they all carry at least a $50,000 price tag. Totally not worth it.

EDIT: I could actually sign a bunch of 18 year olds to my development league for probably $9,000 each and have a decent division a few years down the road. I think I might do that.

I sent a few workers to development, but I don't know how lon I'll keep them there before I actually want use them, or have the game run that long.

prof_plague - October 11, 2005 11:33 PM (GMT)
In my "Talk with Sophie," it keeps saying to hire four more workers to make the promotion to look more professional. Should I hire four more workers to add to my promotion's roster to help its image?

prof_plague - October 12, 2005 02:14 AM (GMT)
Would it be alright if I also created my own topic for all the going-ons in NWA: Mid-Atlantic?

One of those matches is a work, btw, after what can only be considered as typical booking from me. TV up tomorrow

eStragand - October 12, 2005 05:39 AM (GMT)
Allright..need a little help. I'm trying to hire my staff (referees, trainers, agents and such), and EVERYONE says "refuses to even begin negotiations with you". Any ideas?

Mad Dog - October 12, 2005 05:43 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure. I know BigSwigg was having that problem earlier. Maybe try starting a new game.

What difficulty do you have it on?

eStragand - October 12, 2005 06:19 AM (GMT)
It's on "Easy". Trying to start a new game right now. Went ahead and used the file editor to assign staff. That seems to work. Have to re-do my roster, though.

Now I'm having a problem with TV..it says I have 0 weeks left, and they won't negotiate until I lower my risk to 15%

Mad Dog - October 12, 2005 06:21 AM (GMT)
Yeah, when I went for TBS, I didn't realize they had such a low risk for their shows.

Mad Dog - October 12, 2005 12:43 PM (GMT)
Well it only took 4 days but I had to send my first worker, Rob Van Dam, to rehab and Vanessa got a 16 month long injury.

Real F'n Show - October 12, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
Just let RVD use the weed, it's a way of life. Plus his matches and promos will be more entertaining...

Yeah, my show was "risky" and it's at 50%.

Mad Dog - October 12, 2005 07:05 PM (GMT)
Yeah, you have to take it down to around 14% to make them happy.

Big F'N Swigg - October 13, 2005 01:42 PM (GMT)
The "refuse to even begin discussion" glitch is taken care of by starting a new game.

And yes, TBS hates risk. Woo boy.

Mad Dog - October 13, 2005 02:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah, definately going to be sending out demo tapes every month.

eStragand - October 13, 2005 06:29 PM (GMT)
Lowered the risk level to 14% and TBS extended my TV contract by 9 months. I think Mad Dog's on the right track...we should send out promo tapes each month. As long as we all have one show, I think things will work.

For instance, if one of us gets a deal with Spike, then we should "cancel" or sabotage the TBS show.

prof_plague - October 23, 2005 04:03 AM (GMT)
D.A.V.E., is "Cowboy" Bob Orton just listed as Bob Orton in the game?

Mad Dog - October 28, 2005 01:32 PM (GMT)
FUCK!!!!!!

I lost Cena for 16 months.

Big F'N Swigg - October 29, 2005 12:47 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I lost Punk for 2 with a Broken arm, and he wasn't even on the card

prof_plague - October 29, 2005 01:03 AM (GMT)
Richards is down for 2 months.

 HA HA!

Too bad this wasn't real life... not that I wish injuries on ANYONE, but he'd hardly be missed.

Big F'N Swigg - November 7, 2005 02:33 AM (GMT)
A few things:

1) Can we start doing the shows in weekly threads instead of monthly? It would be a little easier to read and keep up with.

2) Can we get someone to pin a few threads? Like the montly Championship Committee, the Post Your Roster, Signings & Firings, & the NWA News thread.

3) Should we create individual poll threads to help us decide the championship tournament winners?

Big F'N Swigg - November 7, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
I just realized that my game is in December. I thought it started in October, but it actually started in November. That's weird

Yeah. That way we all can decide who we want the NWA champions to be.

Mad Dog - November 7, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
Yeah I was thinking about the poll thing.

I think the weekly thread is a good idea. We could do that or give each territory it's own thread.

Big F'N Swigg - November 21, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
Has it been quiet in here, or is it just me?
