I also found it telling that the WWF started advertising this show well before No Mercy took place. It further shows how much of a B Show Smackdown is. I'm surprised they still give them PPVs.

Taboo Tuesday is still a lame name. They should use Halloween Havok.

Of course the polls were rigged. I don't see how people voted more for Shelton Benjamin to face Jericho, than Batista (who was getting mad pops). And of course the World title match was rigged, it was the feud that wouldn't DIE. Benoit was still over huge, and there's no way HBK would out vote him in 2004.

Hopefully this years PPV is a lot better match wise than last years.

If Jericho/Benjamin was rigged, how come Batista was pushed the hardest to challenge Jericho? To swerve people into voting for someone else?

Actually, since it was Benjamin instead of Batista, I have a feeling that it really wasn't rigged. I wouldn't have expected a heel to have that much support from the fans.

Just to point this out... Rhino got more consideration by the booking than Benjamin. :P Which again makes me believe either Vince Russo thought this up, or the crowd actually wanted to see Benjamin and not Hoss o' the Month and a guy thats been buried for 2 years.

pwinsider is reporting that the fans will be voting on which persona that Mick Foley is going to wrestle Carlito as at the PPV (Cactus Jack, Mankind, or Dude Love)......

Why not just book it as Cactus Jack? There's no way in hell Dude Love is winning (unless it's rigged), and Mankind will probably get some votes, but not enough to contest Cactus.

I think Mankind stands a chance since it's been so very long since Foley played that character. Cactus Jack is a violent, bad-ass and all, but fans associate Mankind with the "glory" years of the WWF attitude era the most.

Uh-huh... Mankind ain't winning, no matter what you try and say. It'll place 2nd, but I guarante Cactus Jack gets at least 60% of the votes. Mankind maybe 25%, and Dude Love will get as much as 10%. (yes, I know that's only 95, but I said "at least" for Cactus)

I doubt Cactus Jack will get that much support. Seriously, I think Mankind will give Cactus a run for his money.

To be honest, I'm actually hoping Dude Love wins. :P I wouldn't mind Mankind either, but I just think the marks (and they out number us) will vote Cactus all the way.

Eh... I hate Triple Threat matches, but keep Cena out of it or let Angle do all the work, and it'll be fine.
