I think this show is huge for New Japan. Put the IWGP Title on Lesnar and push Matt Morgan to the moon and you might turn the company around.
Real F'n Show - October 5, 2005 05:20 PM (GMT)
Has Morgan gotten any better in the ring since we last saw him?
dynamite kido - October 5, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
I was thinking the same thing there RFS.
I can totally see them putting the belt on Chono to have them build for Chono/Lesner.
Real F'n Show - October 5, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
As longas they take the belt off Fujita, I'll be happy.
Is there some sort of ZERO1MAX invasion angle going on that I'm unaware of, or are those matches just thrown on there?
dynamite kido - October 5, 2005 06:17 PM (GMT)
I think they are just throw ins as I haven't heard anything specific about that.
You know anything more MD?
Mad Dog - October 5, 2005 06:26 PM (GMT)
I think just thrown in there.

The stage is set for the clash of ZERO1-MAX and New Japan Juniors! First, on 10/8 at the New Japan Tokyo Dome show Tatsuhito Takaiwa and Yoshihito Sasaki will face off against Koji Kanemoto and Wataru Inoue in the opening match of the show. Then yesterday NJPW's Chairman Takashi Iizuka challenged ZERO1-MAX leader Shinjiro Otani, saying nobody invades a New Japan ring and gets away with it. He said NJWP fighters Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Naofumi Yamamoto, Yutaka Yoshie and himself will be waiting to face whoever ZERO1-MAX sends to face the challange. Otani recruited current NWA International Tag Team Champions Kohei Sato, Ryouji Sai and veteran Kamikaze for his team. This will be the first time former New Japan members, Otani and Takaiwa will be in a NJPW ring since February 2001. |

Good shit there WMD, thanks.

See, being a Corino mark DOES pay off.

Heh. Anyone seen any recent ZERO1-MAX stuff (their '05 stuff)? I might want to order a few shows...
whitemilesdavis - October 5, 2005 11:08 PM (GMT)
Just matches, and nothing incredible.

I haven't seen much of it, but I would probably spend my money elsewhere.

That's pretty much my way of thinking, but who knows, some Tanaka, Hidaka, Super Crazy TLC matches and whatnot could be a nice change of pace. Plus I've ordered a lot of puro this year, but no Zero One...

By the way.............I figured I would post this incase anyone was wondering what kind of shape Brock was in. Plus, the new tattoo.....
Scrooge McSuck - October 8, 2005 05:21 AM (GMT)
Brock has managed to look like an even bigger idiot. Congratulations, Mr. Lesnar. Who in their right fucking mind would get that kind of tattoo, especially running most of the length of his upper body?! Next Brock will get a tattoo across his neck that reads "I hate fags."

Let's hope so.

Well...............as much as I dislike New Japan............that's fucking awesome.
prof_plague - October 8, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
A new title belt for a new champion.
SamoaRowe - October 8, 2005 07:00 PM (GMT)
Good for Lesnar. Here's yet another example of a former employee sending a big "fuck you" to the McMahons from another promotion.
Scrooge McSuck - October 8, 2005 08:41 PM (GMT)
As much as I have the urge to mock Lesnar, I can't. He beat McMahon in court. :(
D.A.V.E. - October 8, 2005 10:25 PM (GMT)
I dont think he did - but he certainly got around him.
And Matt Morgan beating Yuji Nagata? Got Matt!!!
dynamite kido - October 8, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
The only bad thing for this is that Brock will be made a fool of if he ever comes back to the WWE though. You can bank on that.
theintensifier - October 10, 2005 05:38 AM (GMT)
Was that Lesnar's first match in New Japan?
He looks somewhat bigger since the last time I saw him (after he left the WWE).

Yep. It sure was.....
Mad Dog - October 10, 2005 04:15 PM (GMT)
I'll probably be getting this show once it hits the tape dealers. Hopefully they bring Lesnar back for a title defense before his rematch with Fujita on 1/4.
theintensifier - October 10, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
Wow. That's crazy that he won the title in his first match with NJPW, they must really be hurting these days.
Mad Dog, if you want the Lesnar match, go to Sledgehammer and just download it man.
