Title: OAO Championship Committee - October
Mad Dog - October 4, 2005 07:08 AM (GMT)
We haven't drafted yet but we might as well start the dicussions over our National Champions. The titles so far are:
NWA World Heavyweight
NWA World Tag Team
NWA United States
NWA X Division
Possibly the NWA Television. If you want that one as a belt.
Now our first order of business is how do you want to go about crowning our first champions in each division?
D.A.V.E. - October 4, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
For the NWA Title - how about one from each territory, and three "visitors" (One from Japan, one from Europe and a random pick out of a hat). 8-man tourney?
Mad Dog - October 4, 2005 06:17 PM (GMT)
That's a good idea. I was having trouble figuring out how to have the territories with equal representation and still pull of a tournament. Never thought about having visitors.
D.A.V.E. - October 4, 2005 06:40 PM (GMT)
For the visitors - we could have a vote here. For the random pick, I'll leave that up to you to choose from the free-agent pool.
For everyone's rep, may I suggest running battle royal, or mini tournament on our first TV shows, and have the actual title tournament on the first PPV?
Mad Dog - October 4, 2005 06:58 PM (GMT)
People just need to remember not to send their champions to this show. If your guy comes in and wins a national title he won't be able to defend your belt.
D.A.V.E. - October 4, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
Well I for one won't be establishing champions first. I have a few ideas for my first big show that I wanna go through, then go for titles.
Besides my "NWA Northeeastern Heavyweight Champion won't be crowned on a big NWA show - probably just one of mine.
Big F'N Swigg - October 5, 2005 01:11 AM (GMT)
I think it would be wise to have a Japanese worker as the first champion. We can debate who, but that way the title has international appeal, and we have a champ that could possibly carry most anyone.
EDIT: Not to mention, it's a neutral starting point.

Mad Dog - October 6, 2005 10:53 AM (GMT)
I think Kojima is a great first champion. He only costs $37,000 per appearance and he has a brawling of 79 and a technical of 77. Over is only 70 but that's not horrible.
D.A.V.E. - October 8, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
If anyone has a problem with him - one of my guys will gladly put him over, if it comes to that.
Big F'N Swigg - October 8, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
He seems like a solid possiblity. He could work well with any style.
Mad Dog - October 12, 2005 01:56 PM (GMT)
Mid-South will be sending the following reps for the tournaments:
NWA World Title: Booker T
NWA World Tag Team Titles: El Hijo Del Santo and L.A. Par-K
NWA United States Title: Jeff Jarrett
NWA Television Title: Simon Dean
NWA X Division Title: Nunzio
D.A.V.E. - October 12, 2005 02:05 PM (GMT)
NWA North East will be sending Christian as our challenger for the NWA World Title, but I havent worked out the other contenders yet. Elix Skipper is a strong possibility for the X Division title.
Big F'N Swigg - October 14, 2005 12:53 AM (GMT)
So we're having a tournament?? How's that going to work?
EDIT: I mean, who's going to run it.
Mad Dog - October 14, 2005 01:06 AM (GMT)
I figured we'd just write it out instead of having someone run it.
Big F'N Swigg - October 14, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
That's good. I'm offering the Dudley Boys for the tag titles. And honestly, I'm tag heavy, so I wouldn't necessarily miss them for a while
prof_plague - October 14, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
NWA: Mid-Atlantic is going to be sending the following representatives to vie for the NWA titles:
NWA World Title: Colt Cabana
NWA World Tag Team Titles: Solución Suicida - Piloto Suicida & El Generico
NWA United States Title: Frank Shamrock
NWA Television Title: Steven Richards
NWA X Division Title: Amazing Red
The Executive Board of NWA: Mid-Atlantic wishes the best of luck to our wrestlers on the title tournament competitions.
Big F'N Swigg - October 14, 2005 02:47 AM (GMT)
NWA Midwest will be sending Chris Jericho as it's representative in the NWA World Title Tournament. NWA Midwest will also be sending The Dudley Boys as their representatives for the NWA World Tag Team Title.
NWA Midwest wishes our representatives the best of luck. We will choose representatives for the X Division, United States, and Television titles in the following week.
Big F'N Swigg - October 16, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
Shall we set a date for the tournament?
Mad Dog - October 16, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
I figured we'd go for early November. That way everyone should have their champions set up.
Big F'N Swigg - October 16, 2005 05:42 PM (GMT)
Early November in our time? Because I'm in November in the game already.
Mad Dog - October 16, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I figured since the belts will just kind of exist outside our games, that the month of November would be us figuring out our first champs and then December would see people start getting the champions to appear on their first show.
I've already played till December on my game.
Big F'N Swigg - October 23, 2005 02:12 PM (GMT)
NWA: Midwest proudly announces that Austin Aries will be our representative for the X Division Title
eStragand - October 27, 2005 06:25 AM (GMT)
Question: our local champ isn't necessarily entered into the tournament, right? For instance, if Batista is my MWF Champ, that doesn't mean he's going into the NWA World Title tourney, right?
Big F'N Swigg - October 28, 2005 12:29 AM (GMT)
You can send whoever you choose. It doesn't have to be your champ. Just make sure you announce it
Big F'N Swigg - October 28, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
NWA Midwest proudly announces that Samoa Joe will be our representative for the NWA United States Title, and Nigel McGuinness will be our representative for the NWA World Television Title. We wish them the best of luck
