ROH World Title Tournament:

Quarterfinals

Samoa Joe def. AJ Styles at 8:05 via Death Valley Driver

Briefly competitive to start, but this turned into a squash more or less. AJ got a nearfall off of a brainbuster, but that's about the closest he came. Maybe I made Joe a bit TOO good...

CM Punk def. Christopher Daniels at 12:26 via Anaconda Vice

Very competitive match this time, both went all out. Very fast paced, and Daniels actually controlled a lot of the match, but went to the top too many times, which may have led to his downfall. Punk locked on his Anaconda Vice for the tap out.

Austin Aries def. Homicide at 6:10 via Brainbuster

Aries, who has one less stat point than 'Cide, pulled off the upset here, and he did it rather convincingly. Did not see this coming, but 'Cide never stood a chance. Kind of weird that someone with less stats squashes someone, but that's how this went.

Bryan Danielson def. Paul London at 19:58 via Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker

Easily the match of the tournament, this was just awesome, and actually had some really good nearfalls down the stretch, I really didn't know who was going to win. London almost won with a german suplex bridge near the end, but Danielson just BARELY kicked out. Danielson fought back and locked London in an indian deathlock, but London somehow didn't tap, even though his neck area was in red. London fought back with a DDT and hit a moonsault off the top, which I totally bought as the finish. Danielson kicked out though, and hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker out of nowhere for the pin. Abrupt finish aside, this was really good.

Semifinals

Samoa Joe def. CM Punk at 5:45 via Island Driver

Another squash I did not see happening, Joe just dominated this one. Pretty unusual, but my Joe's a monster. Nothing much of note, other than Punk getting in like 2 moves, and Joe quickly winning with the Island Driver.

Austin Aries def. Bryan Danielson at 9:55 via swinging DDT

And once again Aries pulls off the upset, defeating Danielson in a pretty good match. This was a lot like the Punk/Daniels first round match, fast paced with a lot of reversals. My Danielson CAW is very true to form, having great match after great match. Another abrupt finish with Aries catching Danielson with a running swinging DDT out of nowhere for the victory.

Finals

Samoa Joe def. Austin Aries at 10:41 via Muscle Buster

Great story going in, as Joe has looked unstoppable, but Aries has pulled off two upsets in a row. Could Aries pull off a big upset again, and win the ROH World Title? The answer is no. He did come close at a few points though. Very good and competitive match, with Joe narrowly escaping with the victory after nailing a Muscle Buster for the pin.

Samoa Joe is your new ROH World Champion

I agree... maybe you should make SJ a little bit more vulnerable, otherwise it's going to get boring when he keeps squashing everyone. :)

Yeah, but the thing is, once you set the attribute points, you can't remove them. So I'll have to raise everyone elses, instead of lowering his. And sometimes he loses, it's just really rare...

Very good sim. I've always liked simming through Raw vs. SmackDown!. I've wanted to do something like this, but I'm not very good at making CAWS.
