Good, I wasn't the only one who stuck it to the Undertaker. I don't even remember if I included RVD on my list since he's been out for so long. I know I ranked Billy Kidman fairly high too (on accident, along with Shannon Moore).

TheGreatWhiteChoate - September 19, 2005 06:30 PM (GMT)
Carlito is number 83? Are we convinced Plague didn't tamper with this list?

Scrooge McSuck - September 19, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
Uh... can you read, cause that says 83. I ranked him as #88, and gave an incredibly generous number to Undertaker and Booker T. Also on this list, gave BG James #80.

If he did, Carlito would be number 2 or something like that. (Colt Cobana would be number one).

TheGreatWhiteChoate - September 19, 2005 06:33 PM (GMT)
Ric Flair is 89?!?! WHAT?!

SamoaRowe - September 19, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)

I ranked Carlito at number 46 (probably more so due to his Intercontental Championship reign and decent matches with Cena).

And I scorched the Undertaker at #94. In honesty, that was mostly because I forgot about him until that point and didn't feel like changing anything else around.

Scrooge McSuck - September 19, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
Ric Flair is 89? Damn... he shouldn't even be in the 100. He's wrestled like 1 match in the last 6 months as of when the lists were made.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - September 19, 2005 06:40 PM (GMT)
Ohhhh.....this isn't an all time list. This is right now....I feel stupid.

Actually, he wrestled Carlito last night, teamed with HBK against Masters and Carlito, and wrestled Masters and Kurt Angle within the past six months.

And at the recent NH house show, he wrestled Shawn Michaels.

It's all good. An "all-time" list would be fun too.

I said as of when the lists were made! That was late last month. He didn't come back until 2-3 weeks ago.

Ah, gotcha.

But he still wrestled Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels B)

Scrooge McSuck - September 19, 2005 06:44 PM (GMT)
But it doesn't matter. The last few matches happend after we all sent in, so whats the excuse for even including him? If I knew he was getting picked, I would've voted for Hogan. He wrestled 5 TV matches in 2005 and 3-4 post-Raw Dark Matches.

prof_plague - September 19, 2005 06:45 PM (GMT)
I'd put Flair with a better ranking than that.

Although if we were going from a year until this summer, then I see the 80s. But from the past few months, it's like he's a top star again.

SamoaRowe - September 19, 2005 06:46 PM (GMT)
Then at least Flair is number 89 and not in the top 20 or anything.

I'd say 40s to 60s.

...Just like his age!

dynamite kido - September 19, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
It's also criminal that Takishi Rikio was that far down the list...........although most of the people here have no clue who he is.

Scrooge McSuck - September 19, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Thank the fuck Christ Flair's just in the 80's and not in a good number, since this is an averages thing... and Kane better get a good fucking ranking or I'm hunting you all down!

Yeah, I'm sorry about that, but I thought it would've been ignorant of me to rank puro stars who I am not all that familiar with.

I actually figured there would be enough puro fans on this board so that it would get ranked somewhat fairly.

whitemilesdavis - September 19, 2005 06:59 PM (GMT)
There are a couple of guys that end up OK, but none of them get what they deserve. It's cool though, we all just ranked on what we watched. That'll give us a good idea of what the overall consensus of the board is.

Yeah, that's true.

I'll try to watch more puro so if we do this again next year, I'll be more wise B)

Which would be that there is WAY too much crappy wrestling being watched here.

I'm sorry that I don't have the funds to import wrestling tapes from Japan. WWE and TNA TV is free, and most local Indys is dirt cheap or televised on a shitty network at 2 am.

Scrooge, you can go though tape dealers or just trade stuff to get Japanese stuff. I'd be glad to make you a comp or something sometime if you want. Just ask me about stuff to see or where you should start or something. Plus, ivpvideos is one of the best places to get DVD's of Japanese wrestling........you can get them for like $3.99 a piece and they are awesome quality.

I don't want to have people thinking I'm just overhyping Japanese wrestling either. I've enjoyed countless hours of awesome wrestling because of my discovery of Puro.

whitemilesdavis - September 19, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure Scrooge would dig it.

Puro is waaaaaay different than any other pro wrestling here in the states.

whitemilesdavis - September 19, 2005 07:45 PM (GMT)
Well, Scrooge's enjoyment of wrestling seems to stem from character development, (that's not a bad thing) and that's hard to pick up on with Puro.

Scrooge McSuck - September 19, 2005 07:47 PM (GMT)
I liked the little puro of seen, but it's 90% Ultimo Dragon and Jushin Liger matches, and they've been available on WCW (and in Dragons case, WWF) TV in the past.

SamoaRowe - September 19, 2005 07:48 PM (GMT)
I'll admit, the few puro matches I've seen I enjoyed the hell out of. I'll just say I'm too lazy to access most of it.

However, that 3.99 deal DK mentioned sounds rather tempting.

dynamite kido - September 19, 2005 07:48 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure either but I would say it's at least worth a try.

Real F'n Show - September 19, 2005 09:02 PM (GMT)
Hey DK, didn't know you used ivpvideos, so maybe you can help me with this: I got a DVD in the mail a few weeks ago (Best of Misawa vs. Kawada for $1.99) and I can't get it to work on my DVD player OR my PS2. Is it the DVD itself that's messed up or what?

Anyway, I hope puro doesn't fair too bad. I know my top 20 had about 7-8 puro guys in it, so hopefully Kobashi and Liger won't be screwed over.

prof_plague - September 19, 2005 09:48 PM (GMT)
How do you guys manage to find wrestling DVDs that cheap?

Hit up Chris. If it's your disc he'll hook you up. It's guaranteed 100% and Chris is good people, he'll replace it like it's nothing.

There, you found some too ;)

Service is very good, and the quality is pretty good as well.

Not to mention that Chris (who runs the site) is a awesome guy and isn't some fuckhead schmuck looking to fuck you out of your money. His Customer Service is top notch. I would recommend the best Kroffat/Furnas on there..............hey, HE GOT IT FROM ME!
