We'll be in the thrid row. ...Hopefully we'll be on the DVD. :) (OR at least my huge sign will be.)

prof_plague - September 19, 2005 06:39 PM (GMT)
I have a quick question, though:

For those of you who have been to an RoH show before, do any of the wrestlers do signings or anything before the show, or stick around after the show?

The Last Free Voice - September 19, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Usually there'll be wrestlers out and about. I met Low Ki and Homicide at the last show, and at 1/10/04 Daniels was signing. My brother also ran into Austin Aries in the bathroom of all places. I'm sure AT will be doing a signing, as thats what they did for the Dragons gate guys.

eStragand - September 19, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)
Okay...if somethng STUPID happens during the show and you guys hold up a sign saying "LOGIC in WRESTLING"...that'd rule!

He ran into Austin Aries in the bathroom? That's freaking hilarious. That would be quite the way to meet someone I'd be excited to see, like Chris Daniels or Jimmy Rave.

Scrooge McSuck - September 19, 2005 07:00 PM (GMT)
Bring a sign...

Really
Overated
Horsecrap

:D I love me a good riot between wrestling geeks.

dynamite kido - September 19, 2005 07:02 PM (GMT)
There may be people signing before the show but it's usually only if they have announced guests before hand. It's usually not people from the ROH roster though. I went to a show last year at the Rexplex in NJU (Which is no longer there) but many of the wrestlers were hanging out all over the complex though, so you may get to meet some of them.

I actually met Chris Hero in a bathroom once. He was whistling Arik Cannon's theme song while he took a piss.

Someone bring a DWB sign.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - September 19, 2005 09:39 PM (GMT)
We could make one up, like: "DWB: Do it For the Kids".

That works.

That's way too long in and of itself. DK's abbreviated version is good, though.

And just an aside, I'd be PISSED if someone held up a sign in the third row of any INDY show. So expect to get your asses kicked by Green Lantern Fan...

dynamite kido - September 20, 2005 12:05 AM (GMT)

Hahahah. Yeah, that's right. I'm thinking a sign that'll be 6 seats long and two rows wide. Somehowingly you don't bring a sign to an RoH show. May be one day, if RoH ever gets bigger. When the show comes on DVD, just look for the fan jumping up and down when Colt Cabana comes out.

Understandable.

And I like the first one better, considering we haven't taken over much. TSM is like the WWE and we are like NWA-Virginia...

prof_plague - September 21, 2005 01:27 AM (GMT)
Most TSM posters hate the WWE. Does this means they hate themselves?

Yes, but good luck getting them to admit it.

Real F'n Show - September 21, 2005 02:24 AM (GMT)
I meant in terms of size/popularity/being recognized/etc.

TSM = WWE
DVDVR = TNA
Smarkschoice = ROH

and so on...

DWB = NWA-VA

SamoaRowe - September 21, 2005 02:26 AM (GMT)
Hm, maybe it's because I didn't spend much time at DVDVR, but it seemed like the more happening board... or perhaps the better run and more intelligent one?

I'm guessing Old School Wrestling board is probably NWA: Wildside.

They have more active posters than we do.

Oh, last night I was telling a coworker about Ring of Honor and he asked me if I was going to perform at the show. I tried not to laugh too hard.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - September 26, 2005 04:34 AM (GMT)
The show was largely great. The Strong and Clark match was at times jaw dropping for me, because I'm such a huge mark for high flyers and Jarelle Clark fits the mold perfectly. The Joe and Milano match was just awesome. Even though there was no doubt Joe would win (there was very little doubt throughout the entire show; favorite won in almost every event), Milano gave him a really good match and cracked up the crowd when he tied Joe up in the ropes and left him there wiggling around. The biggest disappointment of the night was probably the main event. Joe and Daniels got bounced almost immediately, and from there Aries and Strong just double teamed the hell out of Lethal and Cabana. You usually have to take the shitty referees as a part of the show, but here it was excruciating at times. Then Strong finished up the winner and I was frankly not all that impressed. Overall, good show, but the main event could have been a lot better.
