Dunn, Marcos and Dixie vs. Lacey's Angels and Vordell Walker: Once again, not seeing much in Walker. Decent trios match, though. The RCE looked really good, and Lacey's Angels busted out the same hilarious heel spots as the night before. A nice little spotfest to start the night off.

Hillbilly JesHuss vs. The Carnage Crew: Someone care to explain the title switch? I just don't get it. Average brawl with a couple of decent spots, but I just don't get the tag title switch....

Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Rave vs. James Gibson vs. Azriel: At first Roderick Strong was in there, but Punk appears in the rafters and names him as his opponent for the night, but non title. Foley appears and threatens to toss him over the balcony so he makes it title. Shelley enters himself in Rod's place. Pretty good match that made me buy Rave much more as a star to be than Azriel. Gibson helps hold it together well.

Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries: Great match. Built off the other matches well and crisp action all around. One of the better Pure Title matches I can think of.

European Rounds Match: Nigel McGuiness vs. Colt Cabana: Eugh. This just didn't come off well. The rules just didn't seem to be lending themselvs well to a good match. I expect a lot better out of these two.

Homicide vs. Jay Lethal: A good brawl with a hot crowd. Lethal could be a star in the near future if given the chance. He plays the underdog so well it's nuts.

CM Punk vs. Roderick Strong: Perhaps it's blind markdom, but I can't think of a better heel than CM Punk right now. He whips the crowd to a boiling point by chopping Strong, but constantly avoiding Strongs signature chops. The crowd gets so fed up with this that when Rod finally hits one, they pop huge. Just another great match, with the crowd really buying the possible title change.

Overall: Another good show, made better by seeing it in the series. This show's getting a lot of hype, and don't get me wrong, it's good, but its not show of the year or anything. Same as last time, if you're a casual fan, this isn't the best show to get on a whim, but if you want to be blown away, get them in a row starting with DBDIII.

So, if I was going to buy just ONE of the two shows you reviewed, which one would you suggest? This show looks like it has the better overall card, but that fourway from the other show sounds awesome too.

Hmm... That's a good question. This one does have the better card, so I'd go with this one. The four way on SoD is really swank though, so it's close. You can't really go wrong with either, but there are better shows out there for casual fans looking to pick up a "Can't Miss" show.

Yeah, but I already have Manhattan Mayhem and DBDIII ;)

Anyway, I'll probably pick up Escape from New York on my next order. Thanks.
