So Rikio's finally getting his first challenge as champion. I really hope that Misawa doesn't decide to take the belt back for himself. I would doubt it but you never know when the booker's in a title match.

Actually MD, they might be taking the belt of Rikio. They haven't been too pleased with the run he's had so far. I was thinking that Rikio loses to Misawa to eventually put it on Kawada in their rematch.

Yeah, I was thinking this was panic mode setting in. But I don't know what they expect from Rikio when they've only given him 2 title defenses and neither were established big name NOAH guys.

Obviously it won't be as good as 7/18, but this still has the possibility to be a pretty fun card. KENTA/SUWA could be good to great, and the main should be decent at the very least. Where's Marufuji?

I don't think it has anything to do with the amount of title defenses or the guys he was fighting. The NOAH fans have made it pretty clear that they aren't buying Rikio as champion and he's defeated Kobashi twice(for the GHC and a tag match which was Rikio/Marafuji vs. KENTA/Kobashi).
