So it looks like Stephon Marbury broke down at a press conference and pledged about a million dollars to the Katrina fund.....I guess I'm just surprised. He never struck me as a particularly likeable guy, but I have to admit something like this makes me change my mind.

Maybe he broke down because someone made him do it and it was sad for him to give up the money he'd spenk on hookers and crack?

Of course. But everybody else is content to throw in like 10,000 bucks and call it good. It's really much more of a sincere gesture.

David Ortiz and Vladimir Guerrero both donated $50,000, since we're giving out numbers. Also, the Yanks donated $1 mil, although I'm sure George spent more on Bubba Crosby. :P
