Title: Which of the following are you looking forward to?
Description: Pick four.

I have thirty minutes until my next class and I'm bored. That, and I think of a lot of upcoming movies look good.

TehDoct0r - September 8, 2005 03:11 PM (GMT)
I only picked two. King Kong simply because I'd love to see Pete Jackson's view of it, and The Chronicles of Narnia because they will simply kick ass, and if they don't I will slaughter all the townsfolk.

SamoaRowe - September 8, 2005 05:01 PM (GMT)
King Kong and Narnia are actually the two I am most excited about. I think Jackson is going to deliver another classic and I loved the Chronicles of Narnia as a child and I grew up with a cheap-o British tv movie version of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

Corpse Bride looks delightful.

The new Harry Potter movie looks really good too.

TehDoct0r - September 8, 2005 05:32 PM (GMT)
I hate Harry Potter, and The Corpse Bride thing doesn't appeal to me because it reminds me of the Nightmare Before Christmas, which scared me shitless as a kid.

None of them, really. The fact that they're making a Saw 2 is retarded on so many levels. It's a perfect movie in and of itself, and they're just making the sequel for the money...

I tried to pick from a wide range of upcoming releases. I agree that Saw II is not necesary, but oh well.

I got a movie to look forward to.....

David Cronenburg's....

A History of Violence

That one looks interesting, though it's something I'll probably end up renting.

Pardon my french, but you fucking pussy... a lighthearted childrens movie scared you? What next, you have nightmares of the Lucky Charms Leprechaun and Trix Rabbit gang banging you in the shower?

Back on topic: Nothing to vote for, really. I'm more into older movies that aren't CGI lumps of overrated crap.

Hey, don't judge. Skeletons and gothic looking stuff mixed in with my yuletide cheer fucked up my mind. I was also scared of the movie Beetlejuice as a small child. Deal with it.

Scrooge McSuck - September 8, 2005 11:29 PM (GMT)
Beetlejuice was supposed to be scary at times, though, and I believe got a PG-13 rating. Nb4C wasn't.

Ok, not everyone has been as desensitized as you Scrooge. I could see how it could scare younger people

Scrooge McSuck - September 9, 2005 01:10 AM (GMT)
Isn't Doc older than me?

TehDoct0r - September 9, 2005 04:52 AM (GMT)
I'm 19. I was seven when that film came out.

Scrooge McSuck - September 9, 2005 03:51 PM (GMT)
Grr... I hate to see how you reacted to movies like Halloween, if you piss yourself at a childrens movie. :)

Ditto for me.

Who voted for Wallace and Gromit? (Just curious, I won't be making fun of anyone).

Scrooge McSuck - September 9, 2005 05:50 PM (GMT)
Never heard of it, so not me. I ended up picking Harry Pothead and Corpse Bride.

There were a series of Wallace and Gromit short films back in the day, they were by the same team that made Chicken Run.

I saw one of the old shorts "Wrong Trousers" and I really liked it at the time. I'm not sure if a feature film would be something I'd enjoy.

For the record, it's claymation.
