The following is courtesy of Mike Johnson of PW Insider and explains why we haven't seen London lately.
Former WWE Cruiserweight champion Paul London has been home for several weeks. Road Agents have told those who asked that London has a family illness he's been dealing with it and WWE management gave him their blessing to take time off to handle the situation. At the same time, a number of wrestlers I've spoken to felt that management also probably hoped that the time off might change what is perceived by management to be a negative attitude from London. London was the most vocal performer when the edict came down that the Cruiserweights were going to be toned down, specifically the 450 splash and shooting star press being put on the shelf. According to several wrestlers I've spoken to, when London was informed he would have to find a new finisher by the road agents at the Rochester Smackdown taping several weeks back, he requested to speak to Vince McMahon. The story among the wrestlers is that London gave an impassioned plea to Vince to leave things the way they were because he and the other smaller wrestlers would never be the big muscular performers that are on top and they need to stand out otherwise in order to get over. Well, McMahon's response to that was to have London drop the Cruiserweight title to Nunzio on Velocity a week later, and start his whiny interviews, which may be the crux of a future heel turn, so you can see what all that did for London's standing.
In other words...
the same shit that happend to Ultimo Dragon, except replace "dropped CW title" to "sent down the card after his first match when Vince realized he wasn't a Lucha guy like Rey." London is one of the best wrestlers on the WWE roster, so obviously, fucking him over is the logical step.
He needs to say fuck it and just leave for ROH and TNA.
Imagine London vs. Styles vs. Daniels vs. Joe in an Ultimate X match at Bound for Glory...
I hope when London returns run is based off of this. He'll be in a match and then do the SSP - and then by DQ'ed from it. And be pissed off at the management on-air about it. I hoping it's possible from the way the WWE has been lately.
