Just curious to see if you guys have a particular radio ads in your neck of the woods. It's an AM radio commercial for mortgage re-financing. The "president" of the company comes on and talks in a condescending tone about how you NEED to re-finance your mortgage, before it's too late!

Then he goes on to tell ya' :"look, we're making money and don't need to stick it to ya' on the closing costs. We'll re-finance your mortgage for FREE. We've done some guys four or five times" Then he closes the ad with "it's the biggest no-brainer in the history of earth". Although sometimes he'll say "history of MAN', or "history of MANKIND".

These spots have been running consistently for almost a year, now. It's either for :"Lenux" or "linux" mortgage. I thought it was just a local turd, but when I was in Phoenix in March, I heard the same exact ad (with a different phone number of course)! I guess it's at least a regional ad, but chime in if you've heard it. I think it's about the funniest thing on the radio, nowadays.

Along those lines...does anybody else have the Shane Company ("now YOU have a friend in the diamond business') in their town? I had to call someone in Atlanta once and I was put on a hold feature with a radio feed. I cracked up when the familiar montone of Tom Shane came on--- I had always thought his mundane ads were just a local plague.

I'm from Maine, and we have the worst ads ever: the Joe Bornstein ads. He's a local laywer, and he's got Robert Vaughn doing the "Tell the insurances companies you mean business". This is preceded by two old, scary looking guys talking about screwing a customer and lighting their cigars with insurance claims (OK, I made that last part up). Then someone says Joe Bornstein is covering the case, and these guys literally shit their pants. It's amazingly crappy.
