Real F'n Show - December 5, 2004 12:15 AM (GMT)
Right now I have these 5 discs in mine:

Mastodon- Remission
Tool- Aenema
Metallica- ...And Justice for All
Chimaira- The Impossibility of Reason
Dream Theater- Scenes from a Memory

What are you guys listening to?

TheLegendErnieRowe - December 5, 2004 02:33 AM (GMT)
Right now I've been on a Cold fix, so i keep alternating between "Thirteen Ways to Bleed on Stage" and "Year of the Spider."

I frequently listen to all things Tool and Ben Folds as well.

Benoit is God - December 5, 2004 07:58 AM (GMT)
WWE Anthology.

"Hitman" owns your face.

dynamite kido - December 6, 2004 08:29 PM (GMT)
Nas - Street Disciple

Scrooge McSuck - December 8, 2004 02:49 AM (GMT)
I only have a 1 disc CD player, and right now a dummie disc is in it. My hand-held CD player has Eminem's "Encore" CD in it though.

The Last Free Voice - December 10, 2004 12:41 AM (GMT)
Mines has an AFI Mix CD I made, that I dubbed Black Sails into Eastbay on Halloween, cause it's a mix of their older Eastbay stuff, black sails into the sunset and the halloween EP. Yep. I'm schizo enough to have all that at once.

dynamite kido - December 13, 2004 04:55 AM (GMT)

One of my favorite short-distance driving CD's

My CD player currently has a disc out of the 5 disc Johnny Cash box set playing.

Add me to the ATDI listeners. Good stuff. Anyone like The Mars Volta? It's got the two founding members of ATDI in it. I think they're okay, but prefer ATDI.

I think ATDI is easier to listen to, but Mars Volta is incredible.

Would you say they are worth checking out if you like ATDI then? Any specific albums or songs?

I only have De-Loused in the Comatorium burnt, and it's pretty good. You'd probably like them if you enjoyed ATDI to an extent. Some good tracks you may want to download:

Drunkenship of Lanterns
Eriatarka
Take the Veil Serpin Taxt
This Apparatus must be Unearthed

Real F'n Show - December 18, 2004 12:42 AM (GMT)
Killswitch Engage- The End of Heartache

I've been listening to this off and on since it came out, and I love every song on the album. Amazing.

Big F'N Swigg - December 18, 2004 03:39 AM (GMT)
Blind Melon, Self-Titled

I just DLed it, and I love it.

The Last Free Voice - December 28, 2004 04:25 PM (GMT)
AFI- The Art of Drowning and a Clash Comp. my dad's friend burned me. Soon to be an AFI live comp I'm burning.

Big F'N Swigg - December 28, 2004 04:26 PM (GMT)
ZAO-The Funeral of God

One of the best concept albums I've ever heard.

whitemilesdavis - December 28, 2004 06:32 PM (GMT)
Project 86's first CD because Swiggy recommended it. As soon as I go back out to my car it will change though. That disc sucks.

Big F'N Swigg - December 28, 2004 10:21 PM (GMT)
I do not understand how anyone could say that about Project 86's first CD. "When Darkness Reigns" is one of my all time favorite songs.

Actually, if you don't like "Rap-core" then maybe I could understand.

whitemilesdavis - December 29, 2004 01:59 AM (GMT)
Which track is that, and I'll specifically listen to it. I'm OK on rap-core as long as it isn't too cliche. That wasn't my problem with the P86 disc though. The arrangements on the first coule of songs were just plain bad. Very disjointed. Heavy riff, completely stop, kinda talk low for a second, big build, new heavy riff, repeat cycle. I will admit that some of the riffs were great, and really grooved, it was just the way they were linked they left me dissatisfied.

Now I've got Stavesacre's Speakeasy in the player. That is a great piece of hard rock. Amazing songs, lytrics, vocals, and probably the best drums on a rock disc I can think of.

It's the last track. And yeah, I can understand how you think it's cliched. The irony is that they were one of the earlier bands for the genre, and not many know of them. Kind of like Orange 9mm.

Scrooge McSuck - December 30, 2004 12:24 AM (GMT)
A CD with such wonderful classics as the Barney The Dinosaur love song... just kidding! I've only been listening to the Classic Rockstation on my radio (96.1 djekekjf or whatever) Ah... so much old stuff.

Big F'N Swigg - December 30, 2004 01:33 AM (GMT)
Classic Rock stations are the last good radio stations.

Scrooge McSuck - December 30, 2004 01:43 AM (GMT)
The only tolerable station that I could find...:( Horrible Country music like Toby Keith singing about how he loves America (yeah right), shitty Pop Music with boy bands that butt fuck each other, and some stations with non-stop commercials.

Big F'N Swigg - December 30, 2004 01:52 AM (GMT)
"Rock" stations mostly play Nickelback or Papa Roach, while "pop" stations play the shittiest music ever. Most country plays the "patriotic" country, and the "Urban" stations have an affinity for shitty rap music.

PedigreeMC - December 30, 2004 09:53 PM (GMT)
When the Sun Goes Down - Kenny Chesney is in my player right now.

Real F'n Show - January 12, 2005 07:29 PM (GMT)
Nirvana: Unplugged in New York

This used to be my favorite CD along time ago, before I discovered the greatness that is Tool's Aenema. Anyway, I love Cobain's take of Plateau and Lake of Fire. Good stuff.

Big F'N Swigg - January 12, 2005 11:27 PM (GMT)
Blood Has Been Shed-Novella of Uriel.

It's good Metalcore, but it lacks the tempo shifts that make a good cd. It's like their in cruise control the whole cd.

Peter North - January 21, 2005 07:14 AM (GMT)
Grant Lee Buffalo - Copperopolis

Beta Band - Heroes to Zeroes

TehDoct0r - January 21, 2005 09:09 PM (GMT)
Kanye West- The College Dropout (hasn't left since I got it)

Metallica- Ride the Lightning

DreamTheater- Images and Words

These guys should be the Metallica for their generation.

The Last Free Voice - January 22, 2005 04:18 PM (GMT)

If there is any justice in this world these guys will get big.

Scrooge McSuck - February 4, 2005 09:05 AM (GMT)
Not in CD player, but turned on my radio, and We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions by Queen playing, motherfuckers.

Big F'N Swigg - February 5, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)

MillenniumMan831 - February 5, 2005 03:15 AM (GMT)

SamoaRowe - February 24, 2005 03:44 PM (GMT)
Right now I have a mix cd that has a lot of Ben Folds, Union Underground, AFI, Chevelle, and some random other songs on it.

dynamite kido - February 24, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)

Is this CD as good as everyone is making it out to be?

Here's why I ask: Seeing that Rap is so trend oriented, I have a hard time taking anything anyone says about a new rapper seriously. And currently, Rolling Stone is making this guy out to be the next god of rap. I don't buy it, but if you say it's good, I'll be less likely to bash the guy and make an ass out of myself.
