Velocity:

Nunzio came out for a Cruiserweight Title defense against a jobber, but insisted that he had to go through Vito first.

Vito d. jobber

Afterwards, Nunzio offered a Cruiserweight Title shot anyway, then pinned the jobber.

William Regal was interviewed in the ring and said he'd gone soft over the last three years, so it was back to the old Regal (which received cheers). Scotty 2 Hotty ran out and attacked, but Regal escaped during the setup for the Worm.

Mr. Ken Kennedy (formerly Ken Anderson) d. George, a jobber allegedly from Toronto

Bob Holly d. Steven Richards

Smackdown:

Eddie cuts a spotlight promo in the ring with a ladder, introducing the ladder match stipulation. Eddie climbs the ladder, claiming on Sunday, he will climb it for every father who loves their son, including Eddie's father, his brothers, and his son Dominick, who will be the greatest Guerrero of all time.

Jillian does the ring intro for MNM.

Melina and Mercury d. Booker T and Sharmell

Backstage, Sharmell berates Booker that he let her down and he needs to step up big time.

Backstage, Orlando Jordan attempts to intimidate Chris Benoit, which goes about as well as one might expect.

Backstage, Animal presents Heidenreich with his own set of LOD spikes.

Legion of Doom d. jobberss

Backstage, Funaki interviews JBL, who decides he wants a street fight with Funaki tonight.

Backstage, Randy Orton cuts a promo about how a year ago, it was his destiny to win the title in Toronto (which he then lost, because he sucks), and how now, it's his destiny to beat the Undertaker (which he tried at Mania, and failed, because he sucks).

JBL fought Funaki to a No Contest when Batista ran in and clocked JBL with a chair. Batista, it should be mentioned, is mad over.

Rey Mysterio d. Simon Dean

The Peep Show segment, and, of course, Christian was insanely popular. His guest tonight is...himself. But then the Mexicools interrupt, destroy the set, and beat the hell out of Christian. Why yes, we are in Christian's hometown, why do you ask?

Backstage, Rey is interviewed, and he feels the presence of Eddie all around him. Eddie may be Dominick's father, but Rey is his family.

The final card for SummerSlam gets run down, visually.

Randy Orton d. Chris Benoit when Orlando Jordan distracted Benoit.

Post-match, Undertaker appeared in the ring and chokeslammed Orton.

Post-Show:

Teddy Long comes out and announces a JBL-Batista Street Fight, which commences. Orton and Taker run in, so it becomes a tag match.

Batista and Undertaker d. JBL and Randy Orton

Mostly a straight-up match, except for a little bit where JBL and Orton argued over who had to start the match against Taker.

After that, Batista took the mic and announced that it was Tony Chimmel's birthday. He grabbed Chimmel and began a spiel about "Are you having fun? I'm having fun. Taker's having fun. You have fun." In the ring, Batista doused Chimmel with Gatorade, then led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday. Then Taker menaced Chimmel into a corner of the ring and Batista gave him a Stinkface. Yes, you read that right.

Pass on both shows it seems, unless someone in the wrestling world not named McMahon has a huge boner to see Big Vitos in-ring debut.

Good thing on Regal turning heel again... when your babyface peak is going face-to-face with a HHH water bottle, that's not good.

Regal does make a better heel. He was great in that role w/Sir William (or whoever that little British guy was) while he was TV Champion in WCW.

That little British Guy was Memphis mainstay Bill Dundee.

Wow, the BWO never stood a chance, did they? But then again, does ANYTHING stand a chance in WWE anymore?
