NOTES & NEWS ON FUSION, JUSTIN CREDIBLE, MIKEY WHIPWRECK, VINCE RUSSO, PETEY WILLIAMS, IWA MID-SOUTH & MORE
by Mike Johnson @ 11:00:00 AM on 12/17/2004
The long awaited debut of FUSION will take place tonight at the Rexplex in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The latest names added to the show are Kazarian, Marty Janetty, M-Dogg 20, and Josh Prohibition. Juventud Guerrera appears to be off the show based on the website. I am very curious to see what the finished product looks like as there have been a lot of lineup changes. Speaking to Evan Karagias a few days ago, he stated that the hold up with Misawa and Ogawa was not being able to get anything down on paper and not wanting to spend the money without a signed agreement. The current advertised lineup on the promotion's website features The SAT vs. Spriggan (The Amazing Red) & Ultimo Dragon, Steve Madison vs. Ryan Drago, Xavier vs. Danny Maff, Jay Lethal vs. Brian XL vs. Sean Waltman vs. Sonjay Dutt, plus Scott Hall, Tommy Dreamer, Durango Kid, Ron Killings, Psicosis, Silas Young, and Sean O'Haire. For ticket information, visit www.MaximoFusion.com.
IWA Mid-South is running the National Guard Armory in Noblesville, Indiana with Chris Hero vs. Nate Webb, Delirious vs. B-Boy, Jimmy Jacobs vs. BJ Whitmer, Alex Shelley vs. Danny Daniels, Ian Rotten, Petey Williams, Nigel McGuiness, and Cpl. Robinson scheduled. For ticket information, visit www.IWAMidSouthWrestling.com.
Justin Credible will also be working this Saturday 12/18 for Mike Morgan’s AWA promotion in Union City, New Jersey. Also scheduled for the show are Jay Lethal, Azrieal, Deranged, and more. For details, click here.
The New York Wrestling Connection is scheduled to have a big gimmick match on their 1/22/05 return to Deer Park, Long Island. The match, titled “Psycho Circus” will feature tables, ladders, part of a steel cage, and barbed wire. There is shaping up to be a minor independent showdown in Long Island in February as both the NYWC (Deer Park) and Frank Goodman’s UXW (Bethpage) have 2/26/05 events 20 minutes from each other.
He may be gone from TNA but Vince Russo is booked for the 1/8 Cyberspace Wrestling Federation event in Wayne, New Jersey. Scheduled for that show is champion Slyck Wagner Brown vs. Michael Shane, Women’s champion April Hunter vs. Tracy Brooks, Lex Luger & Striker & Nick Berk vs. Ron Killings & America’s Most Wanted, Sonjay Dutt vs. Grim Reefer – Falls Count Anywhere, Abyss vs. Sinister X, and Ken Scampi vs. Shark Boy in a Fisherman’s Death Match (That’s classic!). The promotion’s 2/8 event will be headlined by Luger vs. Killings. For ticket information, visit www.CSWFol.com

I found some results:
I found some results on the DVDVR board:
Solution d. Silas Young and Dave Hansen
Jay Lethal d. Ryan Drago
Xavier vs. Dan Maff - Draw
New Jack d. Chris Hamrick
X-Pac d. Sonjay Dutt, Justin Idol and Brian XL
Justin Credible d. Frankie Kazarian
Scott Hall d. Marty Jannetty
SAT d. Ultimo Dragon and Amazing Red
Killings and Dreamer both showed but didn't wrestle. I think I know why Misawa backed out because the SAT probably wanted him to lay down for them. Total ring action ended up being like an hour and 12 minutes.

Ditto. 72 minutes of wrestling? Blech, the SAT's not only suck in the ring, but they suck at booking a show too. At least they used Ultimo Dragon in the main event. Too bad he probably did the job even though Amazing Red sucks and is the most over-rated piece of crap since Sliced Bread.

I can't even begin to start with what's wrong about one of the Maximos pinning Ultimo........well, I could but this thread would be like 800 pages long.
::hoping for the sake of mankind that Red was the one pinned::

Come on, DK, we need the discussion. Tell us why it's wrong that the SAT is pinning Ultimo Dragon.
PLEEE(ASS)E!
Mad Dog - December 19, 2004 07:57 PM (GMT)
Some guys who were there said the crowd was really pissed about Ultimo jobbing.
There's some dispute over the crowd. Someone said 250 but others are saying much lower.
Scrooge McSuck - December 19, 2004 08:02 PM (GMT)
ULTIMO FUCKING DRAGON JOBBED TO A GOD DAMN MAXIMO?!?!
Edit: Nevermind about the above... since it didn't happen.
I guess he got used to jobbing in WWE, but jesus christ, Amazing Red is not even CLOSE to the star Ultimate Dragon is, and he should've taken the fall. Fuck the Maximos' with RF's concrete dildo.
Mad Dog - December 19, 2004 08:03 PM (GMT)
Red was the one that got pinned. I guess the crowd got really pissed because he kicked out of the Spanish Fly only to get caught in a different move and pinned a few seconds later.
Scrooge McSuck - December 19, 2004 08:04 PM (GMT)
Phew... that was a close one (hugs Ultimo Dragon doll)
Mad Dog - December 19, 2004 08:05 PM (GMT)
Just to add from what the DVDVR guys said. The fans were pretty pissed off after the show in general.
It's also being said that Ultimo Dragon suffered a concussion from that match.
Scrooge McSuck - December 19, 2004 08:07 PM (GMT)
Figures... the Maximos are the sloppiest fucking "wrestlers" I've seen in years. They make Ahmed Johnson look like a safe worker.
dynamite kido - December 20, 2004 03:26 AM (GMT)
I must admit though, I would've liked to see what Misawa would have done had the SAT's gone all flippy and shit.
Mad Dog - December 29, 2004 06:55 AM (GMT)
He probably would've stiffed the hell out of both of them for being asses. I still find it funny that the Maximos have only been in the business for a few years and they're already unhirable. How many feds tossed these guys for suckiness? TNA, MLW, RoH, CZW and........
