Title: What was the first ever live PPV that you ordered?

dynamite kido - August 4, 2005 06:58 PM (GMT)
The first PPV I ever ordered at my house was.............Wrestlemania VII. I used to have a friend though that lived across the street from me who got every Mania up to that point and several NWA/WCW PPV's as well.

First PPV Ordered (not directly): Survivor Series '88. One of the very first shows I actually saw of WWF, or just first show I remember.

First PPV Paid For Myself: No Way Out 2003. I used to either chip in a few bucks to the PPV, or my parents would just order the good ones, but this was the first time I paid for a PPV myself. Damn did the "Main Events" suck. From then on I also ordered basically every TNA PPV from then until June.

I can't remember what year it was, but it was the Spring Stampede that Booker T called Hogan "Nigga".

Scrooge McSuck - August 4, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
Probably was the 1997 edition. I wonder if Booker got in any trouble for saying "Nigga", even though it was a PPV.

Real F'n Show - August 4, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
Survivor Series '95: Bret/Diesel and Joshi stuff. Of course I was too young to really care and was busy marking out for the Undertaker...

First one I actively remember ordering was the Japan Supershow II. But I have tapes of older PPV's my dad recorded for me. Earliest of those would be Survivor Series 89.

The first pay-per-view that I watched live as it was happening was No Way Out 2000. The first pay-per-view (and only) that I ever ordered by myself without anyone else pitching in was Judgment Day 2004. I was very bored that day, had some extra money, was in the mood for wrestling, and just had to see how bad a pay-per-view with Bradshaw in the main event would be.

You didn't see a PPV (airing live) until 2000!?!

Mad Dog - August 4, 2005 08:09 PM (GMT)
Halloween Havoc 97

WrestleMania 4. Coincedentally held on the same date as my 14th birthday. We ordered every WWF PPV after that until the streak ended at WrestleMania 8.

SummerSlam '95. It was relatively close to my birthday (September 2nd), so my mom let me order. Since then, it's been a yearly thing for me.. Only thing I didn't like was that I had to get up around 6 or 6:30 the next day since I was starting Middle School.

WEIRD. That was the first ever WWF PPV I attended...........and the next day was my first day of high school.

Fuck I feel old now. Thanks.

Old bastard. (sits back) School begins again monday here, so I plan on sitting on my porch, while pointing and laughing at all the loser little kids walking to the bus stop. Maybe if I have the courage, I'll hit on some of the hit 9th graders, but I need to lie abut my age. (shaves off mustache) There, that makes me look 17 again.

S.T. Strickler - August 4, 2005 10:58 PM (GMT)
Geez, you guys start school WAY too early. The area I live in (Frederick County, VA), their schools doesn't start until the 24th.. That's no problem, other than the fact that they're starting on a Wednesday!

For years, schools didn't start until after Labor Day.. Then, starting in the '95-'96 school year, either the former or current superintendent had schools start on the final week of August. It was an idea that sucked.

Scrooge McSuck - August 4, 2005 11:02 PM (GMT)
It's always been like this in Florida, but it seems like every year the start date is earlier, but the good news was we got out earlier (like early May)

Yeah, it's sad. I would've seen them earlier than that if I had not been such a broke teenager for the most part.
