I predict Heidenreich and Animal will lose the tag titles before the month is even half over.

I also see JBL becoming World champion at Summerslam.

And Eddie Guerrero will lose three more matches to Rey Mysterio.

The Last Free Voice - August 9, 2005 02:33 PM (GMT)
I'm going to the Smackdown Taping tonight!

Scrooge McSuck - August 9, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
Bring a sign that reads "Who Booked This Crap?"

The Last Free Voice - August 9, 2005 02:47 PM (GMT)
Heh. Anything been announced allready? To say I haven't been watching SD lately would be.... well, it'd be pretty darn accurate.

Scrooge McSuck - August 9, 2005 02:48 PM (GMT)
You'll probably see Big Vito's "official" debut, as in not doing a run-in, the Road Warriors 3.0 squashing 2 poor Indy guys, and Guerreros Chapter 3.

The Last Free Voice - August 9, 2005 02:57 PM (GMT)
Any chance of a Punk dark match?

Scrooge McSuck - August 9, 2005 02:59 PM (GMT)
Possibly, since he's worked shows for both brands (but only seen on Heat before he was signed).

Mad Dog - August 9, 2005 03:35 PM (GMT)
Wow 80 to 7 in favor of Raw. That's really bad considering how bland and boring Raw currently is.

Scrooge McSuck - August 9, 2005 03:37 PM (GMT)
Raw is live, Smackdown is taped. That's my explanation of why Raw is more popular for discussion.

The Last Free Voice - August 9, 2005 03:38 PM (GMT)
Yea, it seems most of the SD discussion goes to the spoiler thread, rather than here.

dynamite kido - August 9, 2005 04:14 PM (GMT)
To me Smackdown is usually the better in ring show........it's just being on the shitty UPN network and the fact that it's not live kills it.

The Last Free Voice - August 9, 2005 04:16 PM (GMT)
Which is why I'm excited to be going tonight. ::Gloats::

Scrooge McSuck - August 9, 2005 04:19 PM (GMT)
Raw is coming to Tampa for my birthday, but I wouldn't even bother wasting good money on that crap, considering what we've seen for the past month.

The Last Free Voice - August 9, 2005 04:21 PM (GMT)
My dad got the tickets for free from work, so I really see no downside to me going.

Scrooge McSuck - August 9, 2005 04:22 PM (GMT)
Oh... then have fun, since you're not wasting money. At least Smackdown is somewhat better in terms of in-ring quality too.

Real F'n Show - August 9, 2005 11:54 PM (GMT)
LFV, if you could do me a favor and hold up a sign that says "I'm Not Emo!" that'd be killer.

The Last Free Voice - August 10, 2005 02:46 AM (GMT)
Didn't take any signs. Wasn't on camera side anyway. Some decent stuff and some not so decent stuff. Velocity should be good though. London was against Kazarian. JIMMY JACOBS~! ... lost to Nunzio. Various other things I don't feel like going over.

Scrooge McSuck - August 10, 2005 03:17 AM (GMT)
London v. Kazarian? Hopefully no one doesn't fucking switch Velocity's time slot again. I wanted to tape the CW Title Change, but the idiots at Spike TV, without fucking warning, switched its time with the shitty UFC crap special.

Same thing happened to me. I blame Spike AND the WWE on that one....

prof_plague - August 11, 2005 05:51 AM (GMT)
Wait. So what time is it on now?

Scrooge McSuck - August 13, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
Just finally watched Smackdown, and... wow. Just wow...

You know you don't know what the hell your booking team is doing when Randy Orton, a asshole heel, gets the 2nd best babyface reaction on the show when he kicked Kamalas ass, who got about 3 people to cheer for him.

Animal/Heidenreich is starting to wear thing. Just lose the titles already.

WHY IS CENAS VIDEO ON EVERYTHING?! IT SUCKS! For a fucking rapper, he sure grew up in a nice place... in suburbia... Massachuesets (sp?). I thought rappers only grew up in the ghetto and in trailer parks.

SamoaRowe - August 14, 2005 05:04 AM (GMT)
Smackdown didn't sound too good this week, though it's amusing to hear how over Orton seems to be as a babyface. It's as if no one remembers his "heel turn" from right before WrestleMania and just remember him from last August through January.

Scrooge McSuck - August 28, 2005 03:05 PM (GMT)
When did WWE start airing footage of Smackdown this early in the day? And whoo! Bob Orton Jr.!

Edit: holy crap, Randy Orton and Bob Holly had an entertaining match! M-Azing!

Benoit making a cup of coffee against the clock of his match with OJ from SummerSlam was pretty funny. He's just milking the length of the sugar pouring.

Real F'n Show - August 28, 2005 03:21 PM (GMT)
6-man had it's moments, but overall was unspectactular, even with the WWE's three best workers involved.

Scrooge McSuck - August 28, 2005 03:27 PM (GMT)
Smackdown is really confusing.

Booker T = face
Christian = heel

Christian & Booker T teaming up and NOT kicking each others ass every 5 minutes? Sure, they weren't much on continuity or whatever the word is, but they shouldn't even contemplate teaming up... and didn't WWE JUST do this with Regal/Scotty, the mismatched partners that probably won't get along... AGAINST the same team? Jesus...

Also, the Mexicools = What? WWE needs to give up on this shades of gray bullshit and pick a side.

Edit: Finally Christian takes a walk... took him long enough.

Really? I thought the six man was pretty decent......

Scrooge McSuck - August 28, 2005 07:59 PM (GMT)
I thought decent and unspectacular was the same thing :P, unless you mean decent as "better than you described it."

That's what I was going for.

Although I probably just enjoyed it because the lackluster matches we've been getting on WWE TV for the last 6 months. Although this has probably been one of the best in ring weeks for WWE free TV in 2005.

I was watching Pegasus/Ohtani vs. Black Tiger/Sasuke before it so that's most likely why I thought it was only "decent" or "unspectactular". It was probably a pretty good match for WWE.

Gotcha. One thing you should always keep in mind. NO NJ Jr. matches before ANY WWE TV.

If you do it the other way around though, you'll be blown away. Especially if your smoking anything.
